Well, everyone's favorite AGM is sick. Would you rather be bedridden for a day and then be fine, or be kinda sick for a full week? In bed for a full day sleeping than suffering for a week. 2) What is your go-to comfort food and/or activity while you are sick? Watching something on tv and if I feel too crapy but on sports talk radio and drift in and out of sleep. 3) What is your least favorite symptom to have while sick? Post nasal drip sucks as it makes it harder to sleep and therefore harder to get better 4) Are you a board game person? What's your favorite? My favourite would be risk although rarely play that one anymore. With covid haven't played games in awhile . 5) Looking forward to the draft, Helsinki is looking pretty stacked at picks. What do you think the priorities should be? Some offense I'd say mostly and maybe another dman. We got a good goalie last year. 6) Now that there is another league (VHLE), do you think the VHL draft has more or less meaning? I don't think it's changed much just means guys will get here a season or two later than before

Alessandro Nano had a great season last year as he won the first ever VHLE cup with the Vasteras Iron Eagles and silver medal at the world Juniors with Europe. "The goal is to win the cup every season and it feels amazing to have won the first ever VHLE championship. All that matters is that we won the cup but I think I had a good season. " Alessandro scored 12 goals and 53 assists which placed him 10th among defenseman. Nano is more of a physical defenseman than a scoring one so he must be happy with that. As for the physical side he lead the league in penalty minutes with a whopping 250 which was 60 higher than the next player. Nano finished fifth in hits with 303 which lead the iron Eagles. With a successful VHLE career in the rearview mirror Nano focus is now on the VHL with th Helsinki Titans. Helsinki looks to have a great future as the held the top two picks this season plus a third first rounder. Nano will be joining the titans with his iron Eagles goalie Xavier boobery. Nano hopes the two can have a successful career together with the titans.

1. How would you say the first ever season of the VHLE went? I think it was a pretty good season so far and can turn into a great one if we complete the comeback. 2. What was your favorite memory of the team? I hope it will be coming back from 3-1 to win the cup but for now it's the game 7 victory. 3. If you could change one thing about the league, team, whatever what would it be and why? I would probably look at changing to a different sim. Players are too similar with this one and if you make a checking player they just take stupid penalties. 4. Given we are down 3-1, what do you realistically see as our chances? I think we have a great chance. We've played well in most loses and they could've been turned to wins with a couple bounces. 5. We took out the top team in the first round; what do you think was the most memorable moment in that series. Just hearing the horn and knowing that we had the first series victory in VHLE franchise history. 6. What is your big take away from this season? If I can improve my passing then I will be q more rounded defenseman who can help create opportunities for the team m -
1) Do you follow the NHL? If so, how has your favorite team started and why is it the Sharks at 4-0? The leafs and they've been very disappointing so far. Big week coming up to see how they do vs Vegas Bruins and Tampa. 2) If you could change your life and be a professional hockey player right now, would you? Yes that would be amazing. It wouldn't feel like I am working. 3) Predict what day I will do the press conference for for next week? As I'm doing last week's on a Sunday, maybe Sunday lol 4) Who do you think will take home the Continental Cup this season? I will go with Chicago but haven't followed the VHL much as I'm playing in the VHLE. 5) Do you like soup? If so, what is your favorite, if not, why? Yes soup is good. Id probably go with a home made chicken noodle soup. 6) Tell me your favorite fun fact about yourself. Living with my in-laws while our new house is being renovated.

Alessandro Nano is trying to become one of the first players to win a cup in all levels of the VHL. As the VHLE is in its inaugural season it's never been done before. Last season Alessando won the cup with the Miami Mauraders giving himselshot at this triple cup club, a feat someone could be achieve as early as next season. After dropping the first 2 games of the season the iron Eagles stormed back in games 3 and 4 to even the series against the Vikings including a huge 8-0 win in game 4. So far Alessando has 2 assists with 12 hits and 10 shot blocks. Both assists came in the 8-0 victory so Nano will be looking to build upon that game. After 65 points in 72 games in the regular season, Nano's start to the playoffs has been a little disappointing but it's only been 4 games so far. As long as we win, I don't care what my individual stats are. Obviously if a player like me starts scoring we will be better off but as long as I play solid defense and keep the other team from scoring I think we will be successful.

1) Who is your hockey idol? My father Moscow legend Paolo Nano. 2) Who is your non-sports related idol? I don't really have one but I have always loved watching Ryan Reynolds movies and he owns a soccer team in England which is a dream of mine. 3) Do you think of yourself as an introvert or extrovert? Id say an introvert but I will let my play on the ice do the talking 4) Favorite shade of blue, go! Dark blue, definitely not baby blue. 5) If you could lead the league in one category, what would it be? Hits, I play a physical style of hcokey and pride myself on making big hits to change momentum of a game. As a defensive player blocks would be great but that means we are stuck in our zone too much. 6) What do you think is the best award to win? Playoff MVP. I want to win as many cups as possible and to help my team with a MVP performance would be the greatest award. 7) Dogs or cats? Dogs as cats can be very mean when they want to be

Paolo Nano life after hockey was all about enjoying life in the Italian sun until his son began to get Serious about hockey. The first few years of Paolo's retirement were split between Turin during the hockey season and the Amalfi coast during the summer months. In the summer time, Paolo would move his family to the beautiful island of Capri which has been a simmer escape since Roman times. The island of Capri has been a resort island for the elite and rich for milleniums and that was the life Paolo always dreamed of. His career in the VHL has allowed him to be living the dream. The Emperor Tiberius moved to the island for the final 10 years of his reign and ever since it's been associated with Ancient Rome. Capri is just a short ferry ride from the mainland. The Amalfi coast is one of the most beautiful and tourist heavy regions of Italy. It's a region full of lemons and is famous for its limoncello which is a liquor made from lemons. One of Paolo favourite restaurants is that short ferry ride into Sorrento which is a beautiful town south of Naples where you can see Capri on a nice day. That restaurant is called O’Parrucchiano and at the restaurant you are basically dinning in a lemon orchard. The restaurant is famous for its cannelloni dish as it's the birth place of that type of pasta. Canelloni is a stuffed pasta that usually comes in three tubes stuffed with either minced meat or ricotta and it's Paolo favourite type of stuffed pasta. This was the life that Paolo and his family lived for the first few years of his retirement. The family would reside in Turin during the hockey season so that Alessando could play the game that his father loved so much. It didn't take too long for Alessandro to fall in love with the game as well despite most of his friends being heavily into soccer as most Italians are. As Alessando got older he showed great talent and Paolo felt that his son may also have a future one day. Paolo played most of his career in Moscow as one of the original members of the team in the expansion draft. Paolo knew a bunch of people in the Moscow hockey community and used that influence to get a spot for Alessando to further his hockey development. Italy is a beautiful place to live but not the best place to try to raise a professional hockey player. Although Paolo developed on Italy he felt his son would have more opportunities in Russia. So when Alessando was 12 years old Paolo decided to move to Moscow so that Alessandro could get a better hcoeky education. Parents make sacrifices for their kids all the time and for Paolo he have up his Italian lifestyle so that his son could one day play in the VHL like he did. Ever since the move to Moscow Paolo has been following his son around the hcokey world to see him play. Since moving to Moscow, Paolo has followed his son to Saskatoon where he also started his career. After his first season Alessandro was drafted by Miami where dad saw him lift the founders cup, an acheivement he was never able to accomplish. Paolo has now followed his son to Vasteras where Alessando is playing in the VHLE inagraual season. Alessando was drafted by Helsinki, the same team who drafted Paolo but he never played a game for the club. Paolo will presumably follow his son to Helsinki next season assuming he doesn't get traded. I'm summary, Paolo post VHL life began with a relaxing Italian lifestyle which was then traded in to watch his son trace his dream all around the hcokey world. Paolo hopes to one day see Alessando lift the continental Cup, something he never got to experience.

1. What would you rather have if given the choice of one of these. To have your name on a new VHLE Trophy b/c you were so good, or having your name on the first ever VHLE Cup. The cup as I'm all about cups. I want to be one of the first players to win a cup in all 2 leagues. 2. History is important but looking to the future is more so. What goals do you have for your player in the VHLE and beyond. To win as many cups as possible. My player isn't going to put up big numbers so I will judge success on cups. 3. The team Psychologist works with everyone on Vasteras as a part of making everyone not just the best player but the best version of themselves; What are you working on with the team psychologist? To help me not get as down when we lose and things aren't going well. 4. Vasteras is never really out of any game, which teammate do you look to when we are down and our backs are up against the wall. Probably Kyle peace as he's our biggest offensive threat right now 5. Now that we have an ACTUAL EAGLE as our team mascot, what is their name, nickname, and any weird thing that happens with them? (Can the GWG take the eagle home for the night?) The player of the previous game takes the eagle out hunting the next off day. 6. We have a couple days on holiday soon. The GM says don't get into too much trouble and asks you guys to go in groups of 4-6 so that you guys can keep each other in line. Who do you bring and what trouble do you get into? Go to a bar and start a fight like soldiers used to do when the went to taverns hundreds of years ago. -

1. With this being the inaugural season of the VHLE, What do you think of the VHLE as of right now? It's very balanced so far. I think the whole season may be like that as everyone is starting fresh and has the same resources. 2. The Eagles, imho, had a good draft, which of your team mates are you most excited to see play this season? Xavier boobery. Defenseman and the goalie are usually a close group but we have both also been drafted by Helsinki so hopefully we play together for a long timem 3. What are your goals for this season as a player, team, and organization? For the team it's to win the cup. For me its to be in the top 10 in hits and top 10 in d scoring. 4. What is one crazy thing that has happened to you or a team mate since joining the Vasteras organization? The fact that I am currently in the top 10 in scoring in the league not just defenseman. I am more of a hitting and defense first player but putting up points right now. 5. What is your pregame ritual? Listening to music and taping sticks is a big part of my routine. 6. If you could give an award for best team mate so far who would it be and why? Hard to say but will go with Xavier boobery for helping us have a great defense so far with his excellent play in goal. -

Alessandro Nano like his father was drafted by the Helsinki titans 8th overall. His father Paolo was drafted 19th overall way back in season 62. As the VHLE is in its first season Paolo went straight to the VHL after a season and a bit in the VHLM. Alessandro however is playing for the Vasteras Iron Eagles after being taken 26th overall. Alessandro plans to play just one season in the VHLE so that coube be the reason for going much lower in that draft compared to the VHLM and VHL drafts. There will be no comparison between Alessandro and his father this season as it would be impossible to compare VHL performance to VHLE. Alessando may have a leg up on Paolo in his rookie season in the VHL as he will have played an extra year of professional hockey prior to joining VHL. Alessandro started his career in sunny Florida and is now looking like he may play a majority of his career in a more traditional hockey market. He will begin his European career in Sweden before presumably moving to Finland next season. As a European born player it should suit him fine. "I would have loved to have played this season in Italy but I'm extremely happy to be an iron eagle and I think we can great things this season" says Nano.
