Welcome to VHLM This Week.
TPE Earners
 
Check out the Fantasy Zone. There are two zones, the VHLM version and the VHL version.
*Anyone can join the VHL fantasy zone, only VHLMers can join the VHLM zone. So go on and jump into both to try and double your gains!*
Most weeks both zones will only have 2 options for you. a) Pick 'em. You are given 4 games and you choose the winners of those 4 games. If you choose correctly and all 4 teams you chose are winners, you are awarded +1 TPE. b.) Predict the score. You are given 1 game and you must choose the winner and the final score. If you are right, you get awarded +3 TPE.
 
Player store is open again. Use your newly earned contract money to improve your player or see yourself in the mag!

Keep an eye out on the job postings, recently there were two openings in the field of writing, one for grading and the other for the VHL mag. A job is a good way to contribute to the league and help keep the wheels spinning, on top of earning some extra TPE.

Edition 72 of On the Rise is out, the mag crew works really hard on it so make sure you check it out if you aren't. They seem to post a new edition on Monday, so read that in a hurry, then check out the new one in the next few days.
 
Pablo Escabar recapped the Ottawa Lynx's fan appreciation day. Always nice to see a team give back to those who support them.

The Lynx gave the Rush a good thrashing in a game that ended in a 7-1 final.
 
The Blades blanked the Wild in a heavily one sided match that finished 10-0 for Brampton.

I've been doing this weekly since August of last year, and this will be my final one. I've had a lot of fun doing it and I experienced more of the VHLM then I would have otherwise. Thanks to everyone who signed on for interviews, created sigs, wrote medias and just read this. It's been fun and I look forward to seeing what the next writer does with it.

In true whoring fashion. Anyone who 'likes' this post will get a Shoutout in honour of my ~11K post party. Between the three movements of the boards we've kinda lost count but this is more of shameless 'like' boosting than a party.

Tough week for our writers (Everyone needs a pause, amirite?), thus Christmas and Banackock can claim 1 more TPE for their great article !

Also if I can give some advice. Try and put stocks over the render so it blends in better. Also try and use renders that are cut. And make the render bigger

Effort: 1.75/2 - Hard to justify docking you much more than this, graphics are very difficult when starting, let me know if you need any advice or criticism before submitting in the future.
 
Look: 2.25/3 - Text definitely could use work. Try to use a font like Arial, Helvetica or Roboto to keep it simple and clean. I like the colouring. Render kind of gets lost in the background, could use some lighting and blurring to draw him out more.
 
Creativity: 1/1 - Yeah.

Vogon Jeltz is on an impressive goal scoring tear, and posted an article comparing his projected season against some of the best scorers to ever play in the VHLM. A great history piece, and a must read.

The Rush and Royals fought it out in a tough match that ended in a final of 5-4 for Bern.
 
The Blades and Gladiators had themselves a shootout in a game that ended 7-5 in favour of Minot 7-5.
