  1. Some of the videos etc are pretty crazy! Missiles flying over head, etc. I’ve been glued for weeks and all night now. Good bye sleep.. I get not wanting to do anything to cause a world war or massive conflict… and Putin will not fuck around if that happens as he’s said.. but it’s also nuts you just gotta let it happen. Pretty sure Putin is aware of the potential sanctions and he doesn’t seem too concerned. Where will it stop? China watching closely right now probably too.. (Taiwan). Those poor people in Ukraine. I can’t even imagine.. and we have people bitch here at the mall that they have to wear masks and “my freedumbs”.

  4. I want to exploit the next problem to bring awareness to it and then capitalize on it. I call DIBS! What an excellent hire that was. To be a fly on the wall within the blues domain. Would be better TV than the Kardashians.
  5. Shoulda beat ‘em but didn’t and that’s okay. .500
  6. One of the more enjoyable weeks during the season has finally arrived and the commissioning team has decided to go with Dream Teams for the theme week. I have no complaints and yes, it has been done before. I've always wondered why it has to be something like this and not something similar to what the SHL does with the Player Tasks. It's also something similar I do with the Seattle Bears Press Conferences. Make it fun! Make it goofy. Make it funny. It'll make things interesting and engage and captivate our members. Either way, as the league grows and gets older (and new members), it's fun to see everyone's thoughts. I had a few options here but I think the last time we did this I did an "ALL SEATTLE DREAM TEAM" and I think this time around I'm gonna try and make an ALL BANA PLAYERS DREAM TEAM. LET'S DO THIS! GOALIE S41 or S42? - Blake Campbell - (BANA) I think this was my first, or one of my first ever players in the VHL. His first season in the VHL would have been in S43 and he played for the Stockholm Vikings. During this period, I really enjoyed working with @boubabi and the Vikings team and it's why I love the team so much right now. I honestly believe they should have came to the VHL and not been wasted in the damn E. Campbell had a very solid career, ended up making the hard choice to leave Stockholm and win an Aidan Shaw and cup with NYA and I believe the GM was @Advantage. The immediate off-season after winning the cup, I became an FA. NYA has other goalie plans so cut the Aidan Shaw guy from their team. Options were limited so I burned on a sinking ship in CGY with @eaglesfan0366 for my final season. All in all, shitty ending but a very fun and memorable career. His player stats are not on the portal so we will include them below. S43 STO - 19W- 1L - 1OTL - .930SV% - 1.4GAA - 8SO S44 STO - 44W - 15L - 5OTL - .917SV% - 1.93GAA - 6SO S45 STO - 29W - 27L - 8OTL - .912SV% - 2.62GAA - 4SO S46 NYA - 45W - 15L - 4OTL - .918SV% - 1.92GAA - 7SO S47 NYA - 52W - 8L - 4OTL - .924SV% - 1.68GAA - 14SO S48 CGY - 20W - 38L - 5OTL - .917SV% - 3.04GAA - 2SO ------------------------------------------------------------- 6 SEASONS - 209W - 94L - 27 OTL - 41 SO DEFENSE S54 Aleksei Federov - (BANA) - D D-man turned Forward, but his d-man days were pretty damn good. When he swapped to forward, he was also a very good player in the league at that time. Over 200 goals, 400 assists and 600 points, they rank 14th overall for Seattle Bears all-time points and had a very solid career overall. They won a continental cup with Seattle in S59. I think the position change was for their final 2 seasons, but may have been the final 3. Nothing more than that though! I had a very fun time with this player and it made me really enjoy the defensive position. S62 - Maxim Kovalchuk - (BANA) - D Kovalchuk has to be one of my favorite players. Same as Federov, for team needs, swapped to forward after S67 and funny enough, the moment they switched was the moment their career went a little less. I think they were always top of the league for d-men points and stats usually. Ended up winning 2 cups in 68 and 69 and numerous other defensive awards throughout his career. This career was the icing on the cake for me loving the defensive position and is why I'm in it again with Maxim's "son". FORWARD S62 - Vyaecheslav Smirnov - (BANA) - C/F This career was cut too short and it's too bad but it was a casualty of PP2, being a GM player and the team needs of the Seattle Bears. 62 goals, 86 assists, 149 points in his rookie season and I think that record might still stand for most points from a rookie. Who knows in this high scoring era though... after that, he had a very consistent, good career. Never below 36 goals or 82 points. Finished with 223G, 286A, 509P in 360 games. Wasn't on a meta team ok. S55 - Mattias Forsberg - (BANA) - C/F Always a C, always for team needs. C are always a little more tough to build too as you have some extra attributes which become important and you can't pile all your TPE into PH, SC, DF and become a beast right away. You have other duties! I honestly forgot about this player but got a cup with Seattle in 59. Another GM player? I don't know. Either way, spent most of their time in Seattle like the rest of them. As their career went on, got much better. Similar to Smirnov, a casualty to team needs and retired early S49/S50 - Sven Wolf - C/F It was between Sven Wolf and S74's Isabella Campbell. Honestly? Both hand similar careers. Slow out of the gates, better towards the end. Isabella won a Continental Cup with Seattle in S77. Wolf played during the Holik era with @Beketov and while the team had AMAZING success in the regular season with two Victory Cups, they always fell apart for whatever reason in the playoffs. Despite this and it being pretty damn hard losses to take, it was a very fun group of players and times. Sven Wolf also was a goalie but position swapped, was a pass first play maker and SIMILAR TO THE OTHERS, was a casualty to GM/Team needs and retired early! Tons of good players I've had over my time and I'm sure I will have much of the same as time goes on. I've had players that have had moments of stardom, but I don't think I've ever been a full elite star for the entire career. Kovalchuk might be the closest thing to that and I guess that's why they're HoF. I got a pretty damn good feeling about Mikhail Kovalchuk though so I guess we'll see of. Of these players, I'd have to say Smirnov's rookie season was the most fun season and Campbell and Kovalchuk likely being my favorite overall careers so far. 1,037 words (2 weeks) Feb 21-27 -> theme week 6 capped, 6 uncapped. 8. @oilmandan mike smith and Stuart Skinner games all in one sim hahaha
  9. yes u just confirmed it
  10. what's your secret
  11. Welcome to the league!
  12. Must of started writing before the sim and posted afterwards or something At the time of doing such, it was how it had been written. Either way, props to your brother. I've enjoyed shining light on things other than G,A, PTS all the time! Hopefully it brings about some form of build diversity.
  13. Big thank you to @InstantRockstar #3 Hello everyone! I hope you're all doing well. Tomorrow is Friday which typically means good vibes for everyone. The VHL has been a little slow as of late. Is it because it's a meta league? I'm less involved in the daily activities? It's slow? Who knows. It's probably just me. Despite it being slow for me, things are still moving along in the regular season and there's tons to talk about and a lot of spotlight left to be shined down upon all the good players and members in the league. We're now basically on the halfway point of the season and I think we got a good picture of what's going on with some momentum in either direction. Teams range 33-35 games played (average is around 34, says VHL science member) and we're getting closer and closer. Time really does fly here.. with that being said.. let's go around the leagues! VHL Since starting the regular season 0-4-2 and even having a little bit of a struggling stretch after that, the Seattle Bears have gone 16-7-5. It seems as of late the team has finally got some things figured out with a 7-1-2 record in their last 10. Not wanting to brag but that's better than the all hated meta 7-2-1 (but not LA 10-0-0). We wrote about it some time ago and it is the normal, but Toronto's fall from grace/first place is all but normal and happening again. They're tied for 4/5 in the North American conference. After starting the season 9-3-0, the team has since gone 9-10-3 and 4-5-1 in 10 games played... something, something.. Toronto can't play meaningful hockey (NHL). I strongly believe the NA playoff picture has been completed, but you never know. DCD, CHI = NOPE! NYA, 2/10 chance. Flip on over to the EU and @Acydburn and Prague are easily the hottest team right now - riding a 7 game win streak and an overall record of 22-9-3. Unlike NA, two teams out of the playoff picture still have a fighting chance as they're within 3 and 4 points respectively. London keeps doing things and while not an amazing last 10, 5-2-3 is still pretty damn good and 13/20 points. GO QUEEN LIZ GO! VHLE Cologne and Rome are now running the league and have good leads on anyone who are not them. At the end of the day, Rome is still the scary one for me. Southern conference is easily the most competitive and Oslo be sleeping at the bottom. Seems like the sun has come out and the Storm warning has been lifted. The Loch Ness Monster @LuluSalesAway leads the VHLE with 96 shots blocked. Pistol Pete @PistolP is currently in 2nd with 85 SB. AN APPLE A DAY... @ColeMrtz Zeljko Ranogajec leads the VHLE with 47 assists! Second place is @KaleebtheMighty Perry Laperriere with 39. The Board Game Clue On Skates @MubbleFubbles leads the league was an absolute golden stat of 60.61% on the face off dot with over 1,300 faceoffs taken! In second sits @Alesime Alessio Semeoni with 58.57% and 5 shy of 1,400. VHLM Philly continues to lead and likely will for the remainder of the season in their conference. Flip to the other side and Saskatoon is making things interesting for Houston. Mississauga has rented a bunch of dumpsters from waste management to try and handle all the garbage from this season. OUCH! Shaun Young @shaun1979 has stopped the most rubber so far this season with 1,100 saves! Augustus Kennedy @InstantRockstar is the starting goalile with the lowest GAA of 2.78 James Marino @Adrest245 loves watching goals happen so much they don't care what side it's on! They're a -33 on the season, leading the league as the next person is 12 behind them at -21. UNTIL NEXT TIME VHL!

  15. Kinda this without the work day hours. I work by the day.. but anywhere really. I prefer a 30-90 minute podcast over the 5-10 min ones! 60-80 is pretty sweet!
  16. Not too shabby
  17. Ya that’s why my d partner has 47 it ok train
  18. That half time show was honestly the coolest thing. DRE, MJB, Eminem, Kendrick and Snoop... how does a line up get anymore legendary than that? Honestly the coolest... and then to have them transition from Snoop and the Doc on top to fiddy hanging upside down was hilarious and even more nostalgia. I dig some of MJB's tunes but obviously not like a fan or listen to her super often, but the rest I do a ton. Woo HOO! NOW LET'S BLAB. Seattle is starting to come along nicely after a hard start to the season. NA is flying pretty fast, but where ever we end up, we just want to make playoffs. Won't matter as Vancouver gonna win 14 cups straight and the league will fold only for ST4RFACE to save us in his own league. Cologne is doing good. I enjoy this because I'm a fan and supporter of @BarzalGoat. I'm not a fan at all of my play though and am rather unhappy with my stats this season in the E. More reason for me to not like or support it Excited to write the around the league article this week. I have struggled for content after all these years to write... surprise.. so to have something like this and that to at least help.. always a bonus..
  19. Another week and similar to last, another struggle. The VHL season has been underway now for what feels like coming onto it's third week? I'm probably wrong but then again, maybe I'm right. The league has seen consistent simming from all the simmers (I think), though, I do remember the E having a tough time getting off the ground. I will have to do some science research to see if that has changed or not. For the other leagues, they're quickly chugging along and like the 34 or 35 seasons in the Bears GM role, it's flying by. Super bowl today and the half time show is almost upon us. With that being said, let us hop into our VHL hot air balloon and do a quick travel around the leagues. VHL Meta leads the way. Most goals. Most shots. Most wins. 22-3-1. Are you surprised? 9 players with a point per game. Leading in most offensive categories by a sizeable margin. Wicked. Cool to see. Is this a sign of good GMing or wicked exploiting? I know which one I support. Either way, they're soaring.. or running I guess. Do what wolves do. It would be the same thing as what @Beketov and @Fire Fletcher had wrote about in this article. I don't have the time to help cheat or to run all the answers in the Discord. I also don't want to cheat. Players can help one another find the answers and engage in conversation. That would be awesome if that's what trivia accomplishes (discussion and activity), but Seattle won't have a thread, won't be keeping secrets and won't be cheating. Same thing applies with a majority meta team or anything. Just don't do it. Sorry, Nike. Phoenix are bad, bad, bad. 2-24-0. Dragons are bad (MID) but not quite as bad at 8-18-0. LA, CGY, TOR and SEA make up 2-5. Toronto started off 8-0 and 9-2 only to have gone 5-8-2 since. Outside of their recent struggles, a bunch of their players are still hot, hot, hot. Nylen = 2 PPG. @DreMin155 others are also a PPG. Can Toronto swing it around? EU = Surprised London is on top. Am I missing something here? Let's take a look.. Not the best anything with minimal depth that is developing (not dissing) and yet they're in first place. Some players are meta, including @McWolf, but nothing like VAN. Prague turned things around, Moscow slowly starting their climb and STHS/Simon holding off on causing @hedgehog337 immense stress and frustration. VHLE I don't 100% know how playoffs work, but if it's conferences, stockholm and cologne have it locked up. Flip over and you have a 3 way race between Rome, Bratislava and Instabul. I mean, really, even Geneva is right there. 2/8 teams are bad, 1/8 is okay and the rest are competitive. Cool to see I suppose. Still not the biggest fan of the E though! I'm thinking Anime Protagonist @Jericho is the top goalie right now with a 14-1-1 record and stats of .935% and 2.51 GAA. right behind him in 2nd? Boris Tsezar @comrade cat with 16-6-2, .920 and 2.75GAA. I don't want this to just be a best of the best for points and blah blah. Let's shine the light on diversity. OTHER BUILDS. Bradley Buzzer @WereBuzzing is leading the league with hits with 118, followed by Barry Bonds Jr (with or without the roids though??) @Jim Kovtrash 104 hits and Cameron Elsby @Spence King with 103. Next closest after them? 91. VHLM Philadelphia and Houston are rolling the league with Saskatoon and Miami hot on their tails (hot enough, anyway). In the middle you got Ottawa, Mexico and Las Vegas and after that, you might as well hit the snooze button and put your head back on the pillow because those teams be DREAMIN. Are we bound for a Reapers V Houston showdown? Is this possible? What are your predictions? Deron Nesbitt leads the league with 87 penalty minutes and while he's got the bruises, they're only a reminder to the league that they're a mean bad ass. However, looking deeper, only one fight - so maybe they just don't like to play with any form of discipline. Not a massive amount of hits but with 40PA and SC, they're out there for one thing. YOU GET EM, DOG. Landon Wolanin leads the league currently with a 13 game point streak... @jacobcarson877 That's DAMN GOOD! Babushka @BrutalBoost right behind them at 10 games as a dman - impressive. Half time show was bad ass. That's all from me. Enjoy the Super Bowl, the night and Good luck @Monday tomorrow. '
