  1. This is when we open up betting (should be a thing anyway). VHLCasino. Payout of 1.78 if it's his last shot. Payout of 1.89 Ying's minutes diminish by 3 mins or greater. Payout of 3.6 Punks next player will be better than Ying.
  2. Love/Hate sort of thing.

But then you starting pushing for S57 1st. If you have a deal lined up for one goalie for a 2nd and the other for a 1st, you'd do the same. The moment you went from "yeah, we can do the 2nd" to bringing up the 1st, the talks were over.

It's a gamble, but one I'm willing to take. @evrydayimbyfuglien used to be a big part of the Bears not too long ago. I'll take a risk and try and bring back a really strong, enjoyable member. Welcome to the team, Gloopy. Accept.

  15. The Seattle Bears have just dealt a S57 2nd rounder and goalie Joanna Akerfeldt (for cap purposes) to the Stockholm Vikings for goalie Mist4ke. A surprising deal to some, a good portion of people likely thought that the Bears were going to hold onto the 2nd round pick due to the rebuild, but also because of how thick the draft currently looks. However, the trigger was still pulled. It was something I approached Bushito about a couple weeks ago. Our original plan was to wait until deadline day, but we're no longer wanting to wait until then (though, it's only a few days away). We want to win now and we don't want to wait until the draft to show those we want t attract that we're ready. We're ready to win now. We want to win and we will. Things are coming together nicely and hopefully over the next little while here we really start to develop for contention. Again, tough to give up a solid pick, but we are getting a pretty good goalie and a really good, strong member into the LR. It closes a gap we currently have with the other skill levels in the LR. Also, it helps mist4ke out as he's had unfortunate luck with numbers so far in his career. Very happy to get a deal done. 1 for forsberg huh

To Stockholm S57 Seattle 2nd Joanna Akerfeldt (cap purposes) To Seattle Mist4ke (70% contract) We're very happy to be adding @Strtlght to our roster and locker room. It's time for us to make some moves and let our future draftees and potential FA's know that we are serious about winning championships. We have a great set of people currently in the LR and adding street is going to be a big win for us. A huge reason this deal was looked at by us was to also help Mist4ke out in his career. Always been on the wrong side of winning and hopefully we can help improve his numbers. Accept. @Bushito I didn't wanna wait any longer. DOWN with the Wranglers!
  17. I'm sure we can expect better from @Laflamme moving forward. It should have been known to you, but now you have no excuse for it not to be. Part of your duty is to be there for your team and fulfill the limited amount of duties we hold as GM's. It's a privilege to GM in any league, but it's also a commitment needed from us to successfully play the role. You know if you're going to be busy, find someone to fill in on the roster or around the league (or a commissioner). If you can't do the job, you know to step down. I know you'll be better moving forward. I think we can all move on now (though, this - poor VHLM gm's - will need to be closely monitored in the future).
  18. Federov
  19. Things are slowly happening in Seattle and it seems as though the bear may actually be coming out of hibernation. The team has landed some solid pieces over the last couple of seasons which range from Aleksei Federov, Gabriel McAllister, Forsberg, Laflamme and Perought. As of 4 minutes ago, the organization locked up one of those pieces for the next 2 seasons after this one. The deal sees Aleksei Federov acquiring a minimum of 6 million dollars over the next 2 years at a 3 million/season rate. The latest rumbled are the league state that this deal has everything to do with a trade that could potentially be coming. Usually, I wait. We don't know what our situation will look like in the following season. So if I can take more money, which actually benefits the team, we do it. In this situation, we're potentially bringing in a strong asset and are currently talking with a GM and player VIA one chat regarding the extension which will go on for 3 seasons. Time will tell on a deal being done, but we got the extension part handed out and ready to go. Rumor has it, 7M a season could be a thing.
  20. Try again, dude.
  21. I thought @Laflamme was too until @Kendrick said he was't. Here I thought it was summer time and he was just busy
  22. It's likely one of the most prestigious awards that a player can win aside from capturing a championship with his team. To be crowned the champion of all players in the league, that has to earn you some respect. It goes to show that you, at that time, the best player to tie their laces up and skate on that ice. You may not have been it last year or the year before, you may not be it next year or ever again, but for that season there wasn't a single person in the world better than you. Of course, this could be for numerous reasons. You're a huge player to th league and have scored the most goals, broke records, got a crazy amount of points, played amazing on a struggling team or back stopped your team to some crazy wins as you earned an exceptional save percentage and shut out amount. In the VHL, it seems we're never short of these players. Looking at the statistics for the season, this once again plays true. Franchise Cornerstone - HSK He has 41 goals in 44 games. Let's also remember that last year he was a really good player too. Though he is playing on an amazing team and one can always wonder that this always LARGELY contributes to the players well being, Cornerstone is easily the most dominant player on his organization. Axelsson is right behind him, but after those two, there's a dramatic cut off when it comes to productions. With his 81 points through the season so far, it's very possible for him to potentially break some goal scoring records this year and land above 130 points. We do think he will simmer off and fall within the 59-64 goal range. Diana Maxwell - DAV Goal scoring is what she does best. A couple years ago she was making names for having crazy seasons and once again we find her doing the exact same thing. Tied with Cornerstone on the season for goals, Maxwell is also on 4 points off being tied for points too with 77 on the year. One argument some will make for Cornerstone over Maxwell is that Cornerstone is younger and is going a majority of the work on his team without a good portion of help that Maxwell has on her roster. This gap though, could be the deciding factor which allows Maxwell to push forward and TRUMP Cornerstone for the award. Essian Ravenwing - RIG Goals may not be his forte like it is for Maxwell and Cornerstone, but points always have been. From his days with New York to his days with Riga, he's always been an extremely fun player to watch. This year is no difference as he leads Riga and the entire league for points (well, he's actually tied in first). With 82 points on the season (29G, 53 A, 82 PTS), it's safe to say he's one of the stronger candidates for MVP. Honestly, I'm still surprised Riga is doing as good as they are, and then you look at the roster and see the names "King" and "Ravenwing" and everything makes sense. Lukas Muller - QUE I'm almost certain I took a gamble on Muller and took him in my VHL Fantasy League. If this is the case, I'm extremely happy I did. Remember that person who was tied with Ravenwing for 1st for points on the year? That's Muller. 33 goals, 49 assists and 82 points has him sharing the crown with Riga's Ravenwing for top spot for points throughout the Season 56 campaign. With almost double points than games played, it's been a really fun time for the Meute fans in Quebec to watch hockey. Question is - will he be able to play like this for th rest of the season? We're going to say 87% yess. There will be on and off, but for th most part, expect him to stride to the finish line and make a good argument for MVP. Markus King - RIG I've reached my 600 words, but didn't feel right leaving this article without adding in Rhett Degrath or Markus King. Either one can honestly contend for the MVP rights and honestly, both deserve it just as much as the players listed above. So when you read Markus King here, also read DeGrath because I'm lazy. However, King has the edge in my eyes for the award as I don't feel Riga is as strong. If Riga continues to triumph their way to playoffs, I'm saying he's their best player. 12 (donations 1/2) for Forsberg
