Finn Davison is looking forward to his third year in the league as the goalie for HC Davos. He doesn't show any signs of slowing down, but there has been one thing that the league came down on HC Davos this upcoming season. Cole Mertz only played 7 games during the last season, they will be forced to play their backup 9 games during Season 66. Finn Davison saw the news and this is how he reacted. That should be a little alarming for HC Davos as he comes into his contract year, he is in the last year of his deal. He will do everything he can this season to be the best he can be. What will happen from here, let's see?

With HC Davos really looking forward at the draft, Finn Davison comments on guys that have impressed him as well as people that he is looking at to being the next guys to come up and make a splash. Davos has 3 1st round picks in this upcoming draft. Will Davison have his wish come true? Time can only tell.

1.) What are your expectations going into the S66 VHL Entry Draft? We are going to be in need of defense. I mean, I am really warm out there, but I want to be defended. There need to be a wealth of people out there who should be able to help in front of me. 2.) What are your team expectations going into S67? We are going to get into the playoffs. I really think we have to. We were so close this year, anything less than that would be a disappointment. I am not about disappointment, we need to get there and we will get there. 3.) Would you say S66 was a success? Yes, each year we can build and really develop, it's a success. I will say it was a success. I would have liked more of a success, but I will say that it was enough progress to call it a success. 4.) Who is your favorite teammate? Everyone is my favorite, goalies need to make friends. 5.) Has anyone learned how to spell my player's last name? Why is it so hard to spell? What the heck is your name? It's hard enough to say. 6.) Who do you see as our biggest rival in the next couple of seasons? New York for bouncing us out of the playoffs, they will be my hated team.

At the end of the season, it was a 2 game losing streak that came to do the HC Davos Dynamo in. They definitely overcame a lot this season as this team was a team that was 16-50 only one season ago for 38 points. They improved to a record of 35-32 for 75 points. 1 point out of the playoffs. The two losses to Toronto at the end of the season did them in, two games in which Cole Mertz started in the net over starter Finn Davison. We did catch up to Finn, this is what he had to say. Finn Davison was 31-29-5 this season with a .909 Save percentage and 2.91 GAA with 3 shutouts. His Save percentage went down, but everything else went up. What a second year for the goalie that will look to build on that for future.

In a very unlikely turn of events, HC Davos Dynamo are now only 3 points out of a playoff spot in the VHL. They trail the New York Americans by only 3 points, but the Americans do have 1 game in hand with 13 games remaining. Let's take a look at who Davos have remaining. vs Moscow (x2) (Last place in the VHL, 1-1 at home vs Moscow) @ Moscow (Last place in the VHL, 4-0 away at Moscow) vs Toronto (x3) (3rd place in the VHL, 0-4 at home vs Toronto) @ Seattle (1st place in the VHL, 1-4 away vs Seattle) vs Vancouver (7th place in the VHL, 2-1 at home vs Vancouver) @ Calgary (x2) (8th place in the VHL, 1-1 away vs Calgary) vs Seattle (1st place in the VHL, 1-2 at home vs Seattle) vs New York (5th place in the VHL, 3-0 at home vs New York) @ New York (5th place in the VHL, 1-2 away vs New York) Total: 14-15 for teams remaining The record is not exactly what you were hoping, but you do face Moscow on 3 occasions where you were 5-1 aginst them this season. You also face New York twice in games that are going to matter. It's those 3 Toronto games in which you need to steal 1 or 2 games. You really cannot afford to be losing the games to Vancouver, Calgary, or Moscow. Those games will come back to bite you. This season, it has been the Elias Dahlberg and Ryan Peace show on offense. Ryan Peace has a fantastic 42 goals and 40 assists while Dahlberg has 33 goals and 55 assists. Dahlberg is good enough for 3rd in the league in points, Peace is not far behind him. Ryan Peace is third in the league in goals. These guys are going to have to be leaned on in the stretch if Davos is to make the playoffs.

Who are you rooting for and why? Of course, I am rooting for my UK boys. I mean, why would I not be rooting for the country in which I came from. They are going to do awesome and make us proud. The Europeans will show up and dominate the tournament, you watch, you better believe this is going to be the case. Do you sing your country's national anthem or just mouth the words? I sing it, you have to. You have to show why you are here, who you are representing, do not be silly, you need to do exactly that. Would you ever burn a flag if you knew you wouldn't get caught? Absolutely freaking not, never. Anyone who answers this as a yes should be arrested.

Finn Davison is on a 3 game winning streak, he doesn't want to comment on that as he has slowly had his game improving, but he doesn't want to comment on that. He wants to look at the VHLM, it is important to always check out the next guys that are coming up from the VHLM. That is where he started, so you need to always keep an eye on that. Davos is sporting a 3 game win streak, can they keep it up? We will have to see!

I think that someone made a great point above about having TPE for posting in the sim threads, I think that makes a ton of sense for anyone that wants to get involved in the game more. I think there could be creative ways to do it such as the one above that is a Tweet. I think people need to get more involved in the sim threads. I hate seeing games where there are literally 1 or 2 responses, or even games with 0, that is not helpful at all. I think with SBA and EFL, that is where a lot of the activity comes from. I think it is important to keep that activity up and keep everyone invested. The index is fine to look at, but it's just not interactive and keeping people glued to their screen and wanting to see the next game. I think you'd have more people invested if you had that. Davison Looking So Good Wahl Bows Down With Envy

Finn Davison has really hit a wall in his sophomore year of his time in the VHL. He had a promising rookie season, but what happened this upcoming season? He has really fell even though he felt like he is getting better. What is happening? Rookie Year: 6-21-5, .918 Save %, 3.30 GAA, 0 Shutouts Year 2: 12-19-3, .909 Save %, 3.08 GAA, 2 Shutouts Finn Davison is going to spearhead the rebuild that HC Davos is on. However, they need to get a better performance than the .909 Save Percentage that he is going with right now. He has had 2 shutouts, but that save percentage is the most troubling. He wants to get over what he was at last season as well as his Goals Against Average under 3 to feel like it is a successful season. He looks at what Brick Wahl did last year, he wants to surpass that. What a very interesting rivalry to have, he compares himself to Wahl, he is convinced he can get there. HC Davos is currently 2nd last in the league, but only 9 points out of 5th place. They need to clearly go on a run, but a lot if it will start with Davison. Will a rest work for him? Will anything work for him? The sophomore slump is real as he is finding out firsthand.
