  3. Welcome all rookies! If you have any questions for a fellow rookie, let me know! I would be happy to help! :)

  4. Done, a few of these were removed including a fun comment with the Predators one.
  5. I will allow the re-sim, I only gave up 1 goal this time.
  6. Never count Ottawa out.. rookie goalie going to the finals, this is surreal.

  7. 1. I am going go with Trudeau wins. I expect that he would bring some poutine as well as some crepes. I expect that he would put some hair dye into those items. I realize this is not funny, I am not creative. But imagine trying to color a tupee? That thought in my mind made me laugh, so that's why I went there. I suck and I feel bad. 2. Oh, I am horrible at riddles. I am going to go with a pig? 3. My favorite sport is soccer. I am a huge fan of the Tottenham Hotspur. If you are a United, Chelsea, or Arsenal fan, I need you to just exit stage right. I am a big fan of them. 4. Fuck: Margot Robbie Marry: Blake Lively Kill: Beyonce -- Beyonce is a stunner, but I feel like she would annoy me. I'd marry Blake because I'd also marry Ryan Reynolds so hell yeah. And Margot is probably crazy in bed, so yes please. 5. I would invent a flying car. Who the hell likes sitting in traffic? Just transport me there, please.
  8. 1. I first apologize about being so late! I guess I lost track of time, this has been a whirlwind for me, it has been crazy. You look at the playoffs, everyone wanted Yukon to win, everyone thought that they would win. We have been putting up a huge fight, we are not going to go down easy. I love our chances if we can go ahead and win this Championship. I believe in ourselves, no question about it. 2. Let's see, I really like the look of Piotr Jewa, Pat Svoboda, Anton Edvin, and Rocky LaGarza. I would have to see these guys are going to really be the dark horses. I really like how these guys look. I think they are going to be great, someone will really like what they see from these guys, especially if they can get a steal in LaGarza. I would say those are going to be great. 3. The locker room is great. I really enjoy it. They have been great to answer all of my questions and get everyone together. We brought in some more active players, it is going to be very helpful. 4. Oh my, are you serious? I am going to not pick one of my teammates because there are so many to choose one. I have been following Brick Wahl as everyone knows. I think she has to be my favorite player. I am going to go with her. It's tough to pick just one, but that is who I would have to go with. 5. I think he should. It was a cheap move. Lucic is a cheap player.
  9. Let's be honest, is anyone drug testing the Ottawa Lynx? They come out and sweep the Las Vegas Aces. They may actually get half of the amount of wins in these playoffs alone that they got in the entire regular season. They are currently 2-2 against the Yukon Rush. There is a lot hockey to be played, but you have to be impressed with what they did so far. Let's take a look at the first four games so far and what happened. Game 1: 4-0 Yukon Rush (Yukon leads 1-0) Game 1 was all Yukon Rush. Straight from the get-go, it was all Yukon. They put up 2 goals in the first period with a 10-4 shot advantage with a goal from Nathan N and Robert Renner. From there, it was just downhill. They would end up outshooting the Lynx 31-19 during this game. It was a spotless performance from Rhett Stoffiday who got his feet wet in the playoffs. It was 19 out of 19 for Rhett as he picked up the victory and the shutout. Game 2: 2-0 Yukon Rush (Yukon leads 2-0) It was more of the same for the Yukon Rush as they looked to get a step up on Ottawa from the start. However, it was more of an even first period with the Rush outshooting the Lynx by a score of 12-9. There were no goals in the first period. The Lynx were believing in themselves to get ahead before Nathan N put a powerplay goal on the board after a slashing penalty from Gregor Rasputinov that would go by Finn Davison. Nathan N would add another goal in the third period, again on the powerplay. That would be the end of it. Rhett Stoffiday would again be spotless as he stopped 22 shots on 22 opportunities. It was another shutout for this guy. Yukon took 2 wins with them to Ottawa. Game 3: 3-2 Ottawa Lynx (Ottawa leads 2-1) This game was something that was a really great game from the start. This time, it was Ottawa trying to get a head start. In the first period, it was a 6-3 shot advantage for Ottawa that would put them ahead, however, they could just not solve the puzzle which was Rhett Stoffiday. In the 2nd period, it was Kisshan Shan that got on the board with 2 goals in the first 1:26 of the period to put Yukon up. This definitely was a shock to Ottawa, but they did not give up. Pat Svoboda had a goal with 3+ minutes left to cut the deficit to one goal. The guy we were all waiting for, Elias Dahlberg scored his 5th of the playoffs only 2 minutes into the 3rd period to tie the game up. The assists.. none other than Chance Matthews and you know, FINN DAVISON! Finn felt it, Jason S would end up scoring the winning goal with just under 10 minutes remaining for the win for Ottawa. Rhett would save 27 of 30 shots while Finn would get his 3rd win of the playoffs stopping 16 of 18 shots. Game 4: 1-0 Ottawa Lynx (Series tied 2-2) I honestly do not know where to go with this one. There was one goal that came from Rocky LaGarza in the 2nd period on the powerplay, but Ottawa only had 6 in the entire game. 1 in the first, 2 in the second, 3 in the third. Ottawa had 10 shots blocked in the game which really was a huge reason why they won. Stoffiday stopped 5 of 6 shots and Davison showed up for his first ever shutout stopping 19 of 19 shots. What a game, a game that Ottawa will not want to happen again. What will happen from here? Someone better check Ottawa.
  10. I don't think you know how hard it was not to join you guys in figure skating.
  11. I get an assist and no star!! I am loving the playoffs.
  12. This is my first ever shutout.. in the playoffs .. in Game 4 .. against the #1 seed.
  13. Good read! I do know that I am in for a huge challenge to even get some playing time in the VHL. It is going to be interesting to see how the draft pans out. I am really wondering what pick I would go at if I chose not to be a goalie (not happening, just for fun).
  14. Oh my god, this is amazing!! Thank you @BladeMaiden
  15. Finn Davison Goaltender WINS/5 40 Games Started = 5 TPE Save % 0.900+ = 5 TPE Save % Sub 0.900 = 2TPE Shutouts = 3 TPE per SO
  16. Next round, let's go Lynx!
  17. 1. This season's Themed Point Task had you write or make a graphic about the upcoming Sponsor's Shield Tournament and the brands that will compete in it. (if you are associated with a brand) Which brand do you think has the best roster? (if you are not associated with a brand) Which brand would you like to represent? It is tough to say, there are a lot of good players, but I have to go with the brand that I represent, Haterade. They are going to be a force to be reckoned with without question. There are also a lot of young players on the team too, so they will be good for seasons. This is going to be a brand to watch. 2. What would you like next season's theme to be? I think expansion or country would be interesting. There was the article about expansion, so it would be fun to see different name of teams and even logos of teams that could be part of that expansion process. That would be awesome to read and more fun to even write about. 3. Who has your vote for the VHLM's MVP so far in this season? I am going to go with Elias Dahlberg. Look at what this guy has done this year. He has 111 points, 54 goals which leads the league, and 57 assists which is 6th in the league. He is leading the league with 111 points. As a rookie, he could win the MVP as well, what a great start to a career for everyone. 4. If you had the choice between every job possible in the league, which one would you do? (you can say none if you want to only be a player, it is fine) I love the job I currently have. News Manager is absolutely fantastic, I enjoy it a lot to make the landing page more interesting. I also get to read more articles and feature some. 5. I am going to release a mock draft early next week. Let's put you up with the same task; who will be the first 4 picks of the draft? 1st pick (DAV) - D Ryan Sullivan Jr. 2nd pick (NYA) - LW Eliash Dahlberg 3rd pick (HSK) - C Ryan Zabby 4th pick (NYA from TOR) - C Mark Gebauer 6. Do you read the weekly Newsletter? Is this stuff interesting for you? Yes, I do read it, I do find it very interesting as well. I look at all of the scouting articles as well. There is a lot of great information on there.
  18. I'd love London, that would be awesome.
  19. London, England:: Ottawa Lynx goaltender, Finn Davison was away for Thanksgiving as his team was playing towards the end of the VHLM Season. As his team took the ice, Finn Davison was out in London, England with his family. JB Rift was in net for the past few games as he was given a leave to be with his family. He has not been home since the time that him and his girlfriend moved to Ottawa to look at his new life. We did have a chance to catch up with Finn as he was about to jump on the plane to head back to Ottawa, this is what he had to say. Finn Davison will head back to Ottawa with his team fighting for that last playoff spot. It is likely that Finn will get the start in the Playoffs, but we will see. Tune in to see what happens!

RIP @Sova, so much for us ending up together in Ottawa
  21. I know I saw there was a similar article done, but I am going to do a little bit of a different thing and look towards the lines hopefully in a different light. I did all my research yesterday, so here is what I had! Centers $3,000,000 - C Podrick Cast TPE: 737 Team: Riga Reign $750,000 - C Rauno Palo TPE: 534 Team: Quebec Meute $500,000 - C Otto Axelsson TPE: 524 Team: Seattle Bears $1,000,000 - C Kronos Bailey TPE: 285 Team: Yukon Rush $250,000 - C Curtis Gary TPE: 89 Team: Saskatoon Wild The headline of the Centers is going to be that of Podrick Cast. He is going to need to be the leader and scorer that we saw in Season 62 for the Riga Reign, a season where he scored 79 goals and put up 174 points. That is exactly what is going to be needed of him. When you look at the middle line guys, you will see defensive minded center in Rauno Palo. I think he will slot in on that second line to really stop who the other team will slot in their top six, I think he may be one of the most underrated players on this squad. Otto Axelsson will need to be a mid-line scorer where he will be placed on the lines. He will be looked at to have a real combination of what he did for HC Davos and what he has done this season. Kronos Bailey and Curtis Gary are two young guys who will look to fill a role for the team, but this center core really will depend on the first three guys I named. Left Wing $2,000,000 - LW Veran Dragomir TPE: 799 Team: Quebec Meute $1,500,000 - LW Matt Thompson TPE: 708 Team: Seattle Bears $750,000 - LW Jeff Gow TPE: 677 Team: Riga Reign When you look at a guy who would be a perfect fit with Cast, you have to look at none other than Veran Dragomir. This guy is a guy who is a two way forward, but they will be looking for a Season 62 performance from this guy. That was a season where he put up 92 points. I think that putting him on that line with Cast will be a deadly pairing, one in which Haterade wants to expose in hopes to really set these guys loose. I think Matt Thompson is a guy that will definitely be a scoring touch, but you want to make sure you spread out the scoring a bit. Putting him with more of a two-way center will allow Thompson to have more freedom to show his offensive prowess. I really thought about putting him on the 2nd line, but you need another guy on the top line. I think this guy will be good enough defensively to get the job done on the top line. Right Wing $250,000 - RW Włodzimierz Zajączkowski TPE: 185 Team: Halifax 21st Zajączkowski is the only right winger that Haterade has on their roster. He is a young player for the Halifax 21st of the VHLM. This guy is a defense first forward who will fit perfectly on that third line. You want a guy that is responsible on the defensive side of the ice in order to fill that spot. I could see him slotting up on the 2nd line to spread some of the wealth, but Haterade will likely play the top 2 lines very heavy. Defense $1,250,000 - D Colton Rayne TPE: 1,099 Team: Quebec Meute $1,000,000 - D Joseph Bassolino TPE: 710 Team: Riga Reign $0 - D Adam Warlock TPE: 458 Team: Toronto Legion $750,000 - D Cayden Saint TPE: 284 Team: Calgary Wranglers $500,000 - D Mountain Thunderfist TPE: 251 Team: Seattle Bears D Piotr Jerwa TPE: 161 Team: Saskatoon Wild On defense, this team is going to have to live and die with their top line. You will see a lot of Colton Rayne and Joseph Bassolino. You will need to see a lot of them at all opportunities. Beyond them two, you have Warlock who is a solid defender, but he will be going against the other team's second line paired with a very young player in Cayden Saint. Rayne and Bassolino will absolutely need to do a lot of the heavy lifting on this team. Mountain Thunderfist and Piotr Jerwa are very young players for their respective teams. I do not see them playing a huge role on this team, but I could be surprised. If you look at one potential weakness, it is definitely the defensive core beyond the first line. Goaltenders $1,250,000 - G Tristan Iseult TPE: 611 Team: Quebec Meute $0 - G Cole Mertz TPE: 213 Team: Halifax 21st $500,000 - G Finn Davison TPE: 141 Team: Ottawa Lynx The goaltenders are built for the future with Tristan Iseult, Cole Mertz, and Finn Davison. Considering that Iseult was only picked in the Season 60 Draft, you can definitely expect a lot from him. When you look at what he has done for the Quebec Meute this season (33-16-8 with a 1.95 GAA and .928 save percentage), that is exactly what Haterade will look for him. It is likely that Cole and Finn will not get in too much, but if they do, it may be a shooting gallery. I would expect that Iseult, the fellow UK native, will get the starts as he will likely have to stand on his head throughout the tournament. Projected Lines: Line 1: Veran Dragomir - Podrick Cast – Jeff Gow Colton Rayne – Joseph Bassolino Line 2: Matt Thompson – Rauno Palo – Kronos Bailey Cayden Saint – Adam Warlock Line 3: Curtis Gary – Otto Axelsson - Włodzimierz Zajączkowski Mountain Thunderfist – Piotr Jerwa Goalies: Tristan Iseult Cole Mertz Finn Davison These lines should work out decently for this team. There is no doubt that this team is going to be heavily relying on the first two lines. I think that they will end up both playing 40% of the time, with Line 3 and 4 both playing 10% of the time. That should work effectively to creating the best opportunity to win for this team. Some reports have Haterade being a top team in the Sponsor's Shield. Where will they end up? Claimed: 11/19 - 11/25 Claimed: 11/26 - 12/2
  22. The Ottawa Lynx young goaltender, Finn Davison was not only named to the WJC team, but he was also named to the Sponsor's Shield of his sponsor, Haterade. He will be participating in his first tournament. We did have a chance to catch up to Finn Davison, the young United Kingdom Goaltender, this is what he had to say: Haterade has a roster that includes Colton Rayne, Matt Thompson, Podrick Cast, Cole Mertz, and Adam Warlock. They have a lot of competition, but all of these guys are looking to make some impact in the tournament. It will start soon, tune in to find out!
