Interview conducted on March 23rd, 2022, at 11:04 A.M. EST KEY: Bold = Reporter / Italicized = Brozik What made you decide to re-sign for 3 years as a member of the Legion? I love playing in the city of the Toronto, and I feel we have a real shot at going for a cup these next 3 years. Are you considering re-signing with Toronto for your final season, S86? That all depends on how these next 3 years go. I want to win a cup at some point, and that really is the main factor. Did getting nearly a point-per-game have anything to do with the contract? Well, I'd like to think I was re-signed because of the person I am, but my performance was definitely a reason too. I feel that I had a really good season, and I hope to build off of it and perform even better in the future. Do you see yourself as a captain of this team in the future? That's not up to me to decide, haha. I would love to be the captain of this team, but there are likely many other candidates that are more qualified and will likely be a better captain than I would be. What are your thoughts on the hiring of new GM, Thomas Landry II? I've known Thomas for a while now, and he was a really good assistant to the former GM, Erik. I feel like he'll lead us to plenty of cups in the future. That's all the time we have for today, thanks for joining me, Jakub! Thanks for having me.

My first graphic done using Photoshop (quite bad, but I am trying to learn the basics).

1. I do, both GMs really deserved these hirings. 2. Ideally, I'd love to see a deep playoff run to establish ourselves for the future. 3. It was really cool, I was actually at that game. What a great game to watch. 4. Definitely the locker-rook experience. I am a team-first player, and I'll do anything to bring their spirits up. 5. Those new attributes will probably do the trick! 6. Pulling in without a doubt, 100%.

1. We need to keep doing whats working and phase out the things that are costing us games. 2. I can't say much yet, as I haven't seen him play, but I hope he can stick. 3. That defenseman Bo Johansson seems really good and we'll probably see him make an impact next season. 4. We could send off some younger guys, seeing as we have a surplus in that department, for some veteran rentals for a cup push. 5. Any player has the chance to make an impact, they just need the right fit. 6. Steak and baked potatoes, 100%.

Brozik scoring a goal on Menace goaltender Emeritus Jakub Brozik Rookie Experience Drafted 18th overall by Davos back in S79, Jakub Brozik makes his long awaited VHL debut this season, and he did not disappoint. Putting up 20 goals and 48 assists for 68 points in 72 games, he sees his rookie season almost hit a point-per-game pace. This production saw Brozik finish 8th in rookie scoring, one of four Toronto Legion rookies to finish in the top 10. Brozik was placed on the second line for the majority of the season, while also seeing some power play action on the second line PP unit. Even after reaching an almost point-per-game pace, Brozik still finished the season with a -6 in the +/- category. Out of Brozik's 20 goals, 2 of them were game-winning-goals, and another 2 were power-play-goals. This performance from Brozik tops the performance of former Toronto Legion player Kristopher McDagg, as Brozik has more assists in his rookie season than McDagg did in any VHL season, as well as having more points than McDagg ever did. During the S80 season, Brozik would put up 100 points in 72 VHLE games, while also putting up 32 goals and 68 assists. This production no doubt caught the attention of Toronto GM, Peace, resulting in Brozik being called up to the VHL the next season. There was much debate circling around in the media if Brozik would move to the VHL or hold out and play another season in the VHLE, and it appears that Brozik has made the right choice. The Toronto Legion made the playoffs and they are currently playing the Wolves in round 1, down 3-1. If Brozik and his team could mount the comeback, they would have good odds at taking it all home. Brozik has stated that he has high expectations for himself. He plans on reaching 500 total points, with 300 assists in his VHL career. On top of that, he'd like to take home some awards, and win at least one cup during his time. Currently, Brozik has no intentions on leaving Toronto any time soon, he loves the team atmosphere and he has high hopes for what they can accomplish together. Brozik would one day like to see his name in the Toronto rafters, "but that is just a dream" he says. Brozik has had a rocky path to the VHL, but it is started to gain stability and hopes for his career are at an all-time high. We'd certainly like to see what he can offer in the future.

1. The young prospect pool moving from the E to the big leagues would have a pretty big impact on the roster I assume. 2. Keep playing the way we've been playing all season, no reason to change our winning strategies now. 3. As a rookie in the top 10 myself, I would very much like to see any of us getting the trophy, and I see Numminen likely walking away with it this year. 4. I think that as the players, it's our job to try and beat these guys. 5. Nope, chicken and mashed potatoes for me. 6. I'd like to, pretty nice community there and I would love to be there again.

1. Amazing. Got lots of great gifts and got to spend time with my families. 2. Yeah, got to split the day with both of my families, which is always nice. 3. Usually I'll open my presents on Christmas Eve with one family, then open the others on Christmas with my other family (if you call that a tradition...). 4. Around where I live, we don't celebrate Boxing Day and we don't really have sales for it. 5. Stayed up with my friends all night, had a good time. 6. Great thing about being an introvert is that you don't have to listen to people singing when out in public; I never go out.
