  1. Also every fucking time The Hound was onscreen I was holding my breath, praying he wouldn't die before he gets to confront The mountain.
  2. Yeah it was specifically Arya saving the day that felt off to me. A character whose plotline had zero to do with white walkers up until this point. That and I was really expecting a few more important deaths. Felt like the writers were holding back.
  3. Really good episode until the last few minutes. Amazing job of keeping it tense through the whole episode I just felt like the conclusion was lack luster.
  4. 1. With us easily making it to the final who do you think we will play? I think we'll be facing Halifax. They finished right behind us in the standings and I think they'll be taking game 7. 2. How easily do you think we will beat them? If Yukon was any indication I don't think we'll have too much of a problem getting past them. 3. Would we have a easier or harder time with the team they beat? Houston actually had some really competitive games against us this season so they might put up a bigger fight. 4. Our teams Playoff MVP? WHY? I think it's honestly going to be a defenseman. Codrick Past maybe. He's playing a pretty good game so far with 7 points. 5. Our regular season MVP? WHY? Slade for sure. Only guy to rival HHH this season. 6. If Orion is a true superhero... of sorts. What super power do you hope he has? Heightened senses, sort of like Daredevil. I feel like that'd be the most beneficial to his hockey career.
  5. As we all know Minnesota has succeeded in clinching their spot in the finals taking their series in five games. The top lines are performing as expected and that is obviously contributing immensely to the Storm's post season success so far, however it seems as though their depth is stepping up and playing a larger role than what was expected by them. Particularly in the case of Minnesota's second line D pairing. Andreas Sundell and Aron Nielsen both have 6 assists a piece through the five game series. This is extremely impressive in Sundell's case as he is out performing his regular season stats by a mile so far. Another player that seems to be stepping up in the playoffs is Mat Tocco, while not producing shocking numbers he still sits at 4 points in 5 games while playing third line minutes. If the depth continues to shine in this manner I don't see how Minnesota won't be walking away with the cup this season.
  6. I'm finally figuring out a way to put up points from the third line.
  7. Stealing Philly's questions again due to Minnesota not having any. Thanks Blade. 1- If you could ask your Gm any Question what would you ask Her? Id probably what the plan in Minnesota will be for next season since most of their top players will be in the VHL. 2- The VHL Draft is just around the corner where are you hoping to go? I've stressed this idea before but I'd like to go to Malmo, I'd be great to be on and expansion team and make an impact. Otherwise Calgary so that I'd get to play with the best goalie here. Sorry @SlashACM. 3- Are you coming back to the VHLM to play a victory lap? Why or Why not? Yeah I'd really like to, so here's hoping I don't max out before then somehow. 4- You are Hungry after a Game where are you going? What did you Order? Anywhere where I can get a good burrito. I've taken a liking to Mexican food since moving to the states. 5- All the tape is gone from your hockey bag and it has been replaced by neon pink, green and Orange tape (your Fav GM just played a tick on you )do you use it or go without? What would do to retaliate? I'd use it without question, so no retaliation. This is embarrassing but I actually use to wear a pair of neon green converse with an orange and pink tongue so it'd be a bit of a throwback. 6- b.)VHLM team you would like to see win the cup and why. Philladel... I mean Minnesota. Since ya know.... I'm playing there and it'd be weird if answered otherwise.

  13. Yeah of course man, I was happy to write this up. It's good to hear that you're not going anywhere, you definitely had a part in me deciding to commit to the league with how welcoming you were when I joined!
  14. Claiming this as my second theme week point task.
  15. We all know that this draft will be one of the highest quality drafts the league has ever seen. The amount of players that will be at or near the VHL level out of the draft is astonishing and there are plenty of amazing picks to be had in later rounds as well. This has all been discussed in depth, however I feel there has been one player not getting enough of the spotlight. That player being John Frostbeard. While he hasn't been as active recently, and will be a bit behind some of the other forwards available in the draft, I think he actually provides something much more important. You wouldn't know this aspect without already having John Frostbeard on your team but I feel as though he brings an invaluable morale boost and would be an excellent candidate as a captain or assistant captain of a team. He engages regularly in the locker room and has an extremely bright outlook in any given situation. I think any team and any player can rally behind him. With this in mind I feel as though Frostbeard would be worth taking ahead of his projected spot in the draft. User mentioned in this article. @FrostBeard
  16. 1.) With us clinching a playoff spot already and having eleven games to go, do you see us securing the #1 seed in the playoffs? 2.) With us having the most depth in the VHLM how content are you with your ice time and your players role? 3.) HHH is leading the league in points, but has been slowing down. Slade is only 7 points behind and there are eleven games remaining. Do you think Slade will pull of an upset and pass HHH? 4.) If you are available to be selected in the upcoming VHLM draft or are not planning on moving to the VHL next season, do you see yourself playing for Minnesota again next season? 5.) With a lot of our top players nearing 200 they won't be available to play here again next year. With that being said how do you think Minnesota will perform next year? 6.) Who would you like to face in round one of the playoffs and who do you think our biggest threat will be? 7.) How do you feel about the trade deadline acquisition of Codrick Past and is there anyone you would have liked to see your GM trade for? 8.) After playing for a cup contending team this season, what team would you like to see yourself drafted to? Would you like to see yourself on a rebuilding or expansion team, or in cup contention again? 9.) What VHLM team do you see being the most improved next season and why? 10.) How do you feel about our locker room and your fellow teammates? Which teammate do you think will have the most success in the VHL?

  18. This is the Prague post reporting in from the United States once again. Today we find ourselves back with Minnesota Storm forward Mathew Tocco. Tocco is a prospect that will be available in the upcoming VHL and VHLM draft. Quickly climbing the ranking this year he will certainly be a quality pick for almost any team. We're here today to find out his thoughts on the league, the upcoming draft, and the breaking news of another VHL expansion. Prague Post: First of all I'd like to congratulate you on your season so far this year. You're putting up pretty good number with very little ice time. So you were traded earlier this season from Philadelphia to Minnesota how has the transition been? Tocco: Thanks I appreciate that, I hope everyone back home is proud. Well it was a bit rough, I was getting pretty acclimated to everyone there in Philly but you know, I'm glad to be competing for a cup now. On the plus side, things are a little less chaotic here in Minnesota so it feels a bit more like home. Prague Post: It's good to hear that things are going well for you so far this year, and that the transition to Minnesota is going well. We've been following you closely and have seen very steady growth from you, how do you feel about where you'll be drafted? Any thoughts on who you would like to be drafted by? Tocco: Yeah as of right now I'm projected to go somewhere in the mid thirties. I'd obviously like to go higher than that, and think I will. I've put a lot of hard work and more hours than I can count into training, and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. As for where I'd like to be drafted, I've probably made it pretty clear that I enjoyed playing in Philly, so if I returned there next year I'd be pretty happy. As for the VHL though, there will be a new team in the NightHawks and I think that's the perfect destination for me. I started my VHLM Career on an expansion team so why not start my VHL career on one as well? Prague Post: Of course we would love to see you go higher in the draft as well. Actually that segways us into our next question for you. What are your thoughts on the VHL adding an expansion team? Tocco: Well you know it's interesting, the league was definitely in need of another team, if not more. I thought it would be another North American team personally, not that I'm complaining. They will have a pretty storied GM in Advantage and it would be a honor playing there. Them drafting me would also allow me to be closer to home, so here's hoping. Prague Post: Well it's good to see you have a positive outlook on everything. We will certainly be following along with the rest of your season and wish you the best. It was an honor talking to you today but unfortunately that's all the time we have for today. Thank you for choosing the Prague Post, Czechia's number one sports news outlet. We look forward to bringing you more stories to come.
  19. Exciting new broke today that the VHL with be expanding with the addition of The Malmo Nighthawks. With the growing number of users this was all but inevitable and I wouldn't be surprised if we were to have another team, or at least changes to the line structure added into the league soon. Here's my breakdown. Logo/Name: Personally I like the logo and the color scheme. I honestly think it would look really good against a black jersey. As for the name, is an obvious play on the Malmö Redhawks so I think it fits perfectly. GM: Managing and leading this team will be Advantage. As stated in the announcement Advantage holds the records for the most VHL Regular Season wins at 834 over 22 seasons. While he has a storied career in being a GM already, he also currently has a player in Ryan Sullivan Jr. at 543 TPE with 93 points in 125 games which clearly shows that he knows how to build a player and can definitely help users with their build and gaining TPE. This will come in handy considering the influx of new users joining the league. Competitiveness: This is the most interesting aspect in my opinion. On top of choosing players via the expansion, Malmo will have a pick in every round of the upcoming draft, with that pick being as early as 5th. With this being possibly the deepest draft the league has seen there's a good chance Malmo will be selecting a player above 200 TPE and another player over 150 with their second pick as well. This in combination with the expansion could definitely help Malmo be competitive early on.
  20. After taking a look at the EFL I definitely have to agree with us adding the Career point tasks. I completed the rookie profile and biography one after another and it was a pretty big challenge writing that much at once about a fictional player I created. I think if it were to be spread out like the EFL (i.e highschool, college, draft, free agency, 5 year mark of career, retirement) it would not only make it easier on users who have a difficult time writing lengthy articles right off the bat, but it would provide more interaction throughout the season. On top of this I also found an option in their player store that I found interesting. You have the ability to purchase equipment that provides your player a permanent boost in a specific stat. For example we could have skates that give you a +1 boost to skating, a stick that gives you a +1 boost to your shot, shoulder pads for a +1 boost to checking, and so on so forth.

  23. Also using these questions as Minnesota doesn't have their own. 1. Are you excited for the WJC? Honestly yeah I am. It's my first season in the league and I'm really interested in seeing how this plays out and hopefully I'll take part next season. 2. Who are you rooting for and why? This is honestly a hard question to answer I'd like to Europe to represent my country, but who doesn't like an underdog story? I'm going to have to say World. 3. Who do you think will win? From what I can tell Canada is usually stacked, so I'd bet on them winning again. 4. Would you ever burn a flag if you knew you wouldn't get caught? No definitely not, I feel like you'd have to be narrow minded to do so. There are better ways to express your animosity towards your country. 5. You just got a penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct, what did you do? My game is pretty clean so it's probably for adamantly arguing with a ref over a bad call. 6. What is your fave task to gain TPE and why? Media spots hands down, it's a pretty easy way to earn quite a bit of TPE.
