  1. I think text is probably what I struggle with the most. I’ll try to mix it up a bit next time.
  2. It will be a Seattle vs Riga finals rematch and there's nothing you can say or do to change that
  3. Might even go first!
  4. 1. Absolutely. We have a few tough games ahead, but we finish with four very beatable teams. 2. Not as great recently, but I can't complain. Best season yet and we're rolling into the playoffs. 3. I'm almost a month into Florida Man II. Earning like crazy. Really looking forward to that player. 4. Although I'm not particularly picky on where I go, following in the footsteps of Florida Man to Mississauga would be cool. As far as VHL teams go... I love Seattle and that's always #1 for me even if it likely isn't possible. New York, London, or Malmo would be fun teams that I haven't been on yet. 5. I certainly hope so. v.2 was given a tough situation and has handled it about as well as you can. I respect anybody that is willing to go all in when they could've easily given up and sold all of their players. 6. There are about 6-7 teams I could see making a deep run. Helsinki or Moscow in round 1 is going to be a difficult challenge, then it doesn't really get easier. The standings are super tight this season and I truly believe we can hang with anybody.
  5. Absolutely. I think you have the potential to go top ten as well. Keep on earning!
  6. The trade deadline has passed and the S99 class is set. I'm not busy today and need TPE. So, I'm going to expose you to my wealth of knowledge and wisdom. Please enjoy my 100% accurate predictions for the first round of the S99 draft. 1st Overall: D - Titus Cunningham Warsaw needs everything. Pairs nicely with Venkman. Thad is going to build a great player and give Warsaw a lot to look forward to when they are competitive again. 2nd Overall: D - Additional Pylons Chicago needs everything but a goalie. If they don't want von Doom to get absolutely shelled they should probably invest in defense. Pylons should be exactly what they need. 3rd Overall: G - Yor Bjorven Drafted Copia last season and already have a couple promising Dmen. Get their goalie for the future and they're looking pretty good in a couple seasons. (from Prague) 4th Overall: D - Krister Von Casar Tzesar Prague's struggles are turning into a gift from the hockey gods for Vancouver. With a couple defensemen retiring soon, KVCT is going to fit in perfectly. 5th Overall: C - Zara Wolf Slam dunk pick for LA. They already have Bubbles and Tuomala on D and LaFleur in net. Now you get your stud center. (from DC) 6th Overall: D - David David Their biggest need is likely defense. David will fit in well with Groenvold. Lots to be excited about in London. 7th Overall: RW - Igor Sokolov Pair Igor with the two rookie phenoms Bolivar and Carti. London is looking like they'll be a top team for a while pretty soon. 8th Overall: C - John Cowgill NY is an older team that doesn't have much center depth. So, Cowgill will fit right in with the rest of their youth movement. 9th Overall: LW - Florida Man II Their biggest need is defense, but with Dassler retiring they could use a forward as well, so they're going to grab the best player available (no bias). (from Vancouver) 10th Overall: RW - Boing Boing DC has some good young players/prospects. They'll be adding another solid winger and an elite name. Imagine getting scored on by Boing Boing. 11th Overall: D - Takashi Borisyuk (from Riga) 12th Overall: G - Komi Kamal (from Seattle) 13th Overall: LW - Family Mart (from Toronto) 14th Overall: D - Chase Breeze 15th Overall: C - Patrick Finnegan (from Helsinki) 16th Overall: RW - Viener Schnitzel

  9. VHL Prospect Scouting Report Florida Man II United States of America 25 years Left Wing 6'3", 210 lbs. Florida Man II is a top prospect for the S99 Victory Hockey League draft class. It has been nearly a month since the American forward joined the Halifax 21st, and despite a slow start, has remained confident through the growing pains. When he isn't breaking the law at any given moment, Man is best described as a complementary winger who excels in the defensive aspects of the game. Comparable to players such as Miner vHLer, Tim Robinson, or Toby Kadachi. Strengths 1. Defensive positioning Man does not play your typical aggressive defensive style. He prides himself on playing a smart game that allows himself to manipulate the time and space of puck carriers by giving them a false sense of security before forcing a turnover and ending their hopes and dreams of VHL stardom. 2. Stick checking He has exceptional reach and is quite sneaky with his stick. He has mastered the art of baiting opponents by keeping his stick close to his body with the expectation of the player placing the puck in an area more susceptible to a poke check. On top of that, he backchecks like a menace and is elite at stealing pucks from players in all three zones. 3. Skating Buddy has unbelievable wheels. There are not many players faster than Man when he gets going. Whether he is skating with the puck, establishing a forecheck, or closing gaps in the neutral zone, you can expect him to be buzzing around the ice each and every shift. Weaknesses 1. Shot selection While it is not necessarily a glaring issue, Man is willing to shoot from just about anywhere. Sometimes even intentionally at the opponents' heads to keep them in line. 2. Look good, play good kinda guy Man is all about the spotlight and is frequently looking to make unconventional plays just to show up on a highlight reel. He is a bit of a puck hog, but he generally makes up for his turnovers with great defense. As far as he is concerned, he is the best player on the ice and could not care less what his teammates think. Big time glue guy. 3. Wanted in five countries Man is no stranger to engaging in highly illegal criminal activity. Currently he has warrants for his arrest in Argentina, Egypt, Luxembourg, Panama, and North Korea. As long as the VHL does not expand to any of those countries, he should be okay. Though it is not guaranteed he keeps it clean during his time in the league. Conclusion Man should be an impact player almost immediately. If teams can find a way to keep him in check, they will be getting a potential two-way beast who is also extremely loyal despite his sporadic behavior. Will teams be willing to bet their future on this egomaniac? We shall find out very soon. 477 words
  10. I'm doing a piece on the S90 class that will come out after awards. I definitely get how having a good player with no playoff success can drain the fun out of this. My best recommendation would be to work your way onto the Bears. Bana is gonna give you a good opportunity to win at least a couple times throughout your player's career. Also, Anisimov is 10th in goals and 11th in points since the start of hybrid attributes. Pretty damn good.
  11. Looking back, it is actually hilarious that SWN is having the best season of his career in season 8. Simon really wasn't ready for whatever the hell I cooked with this player

  15. Idk what the issue was, but my tools were not working so the jersey swap is pretty bad. Spent about an hour trying to fix it
  16. Season 8 Simons Worst Nightmare mentioned! Btw guys you gotta have higher DF. Max that attribute out and good things will happen
  17. 1. I jumped the gun on never losing again, but we're gonna be kicking ass come the playoffs. 2. Not long, but the vibes will be eternal. We're heating up. 3. Family Mart is the glue that keeps this ship afloat. Expect big things this postseason. 4. The pizza is awful. Super greasy, has the texture of cardboard. How do you mess up pizza? 5. It's great for the sport of hockey. It's cool to see one of the legends I grew up watching accomplish something we all thought was impossible. 6. I'm addicted to hockey. So, it will be about the importance of forechecking and backchecking, and how it relates to solving real life problems. For the love of the game.
  18. 1. I feel like we're in a good place since the Gretzky trade. I do believe we will finish top 3, but it's a really close race right now. 2. I'm not too worried about it. I think Gunner is starting to get hot at the right time. It's always easier going into the playoffs knowing your best player is dominating. 3. Not sure. I hope it does. Even when I've been fairly inactive I still find the VHL very interesting and fun. 4. We're definitely playing a stronger defensive game, but it looks like we're rounding the corner and the point paces are going back up lately. 5. Tough to say. I think 800 is a good place to cap out at, but I think it depends on the situation your player is in. If you're surrounded by great players, you will generally play well. While on your own 800 isn't going to work the same. It can be random, but the higher TPA player is generally going to be top tier versus just a good player. 6. I think balanced builds are really nice, but to me the most important attributes seem to be defense, strength, scoring, and a bit of checking. Puck handling and skating can put you over the edge, but they aren't quite as crucial to production in my experience.
  19. VHL Strength of Schedule Rankings The push for the playoffs is heating up, and it is about as close as you could imagine. With the top four teams in Europe just five points apart, who will claim the top spot? On the other hand, you have a couple teams gaining on Toronto for the North American crown. Will they catch up, or can Toronto surpass Moscow to capture their thirteenth Victory Cup in franchise history? How I found found the strength of schedule: Team strength is valued as one point for every ten points that team has earned in the standings. Therefore Moscow will be seven due to seventy-three points in the standings, Toronto is six, Chicago is one, and so on. I will then divide the sum of the points by the amount of games remaining to find the strength of schedule (SoS). Here is my SoS ranking for both conferences, with notes on a few teams regarding how it could impact their standing: Europe 1. London, 5.208 SoS London is currently in the final wild card spot, but they could fall out if their schedule is too demanding. 2. Warsaw, 5.2 SoS 3. Davos, 5.12 SoS The top teams in Europe are all on winning streaks, and seven of Davos' final twenty-five games are against Moscow, Helsinki, and Riga. It will be a good test to see how they compare to their conference rivals post-deadline. 4. Malmo, 4.96 SoS 5. Moscow, 4.58 SoS 6. Riga, 4.5 SoS Axle Gunner is heating up. 7. Helsinki, 4.48 SoS 8. Prague, 4.28 SoS Prague has the opportunity to take advantage of their easy schedule by making a run and passing London for the final playoff spot. With some cap space, they could even add a player if they wanted to. North America 1. Chicago, 5.2 SoS Yup, they've basically got last place locked up. 2. Los Angeles, 5 SoS 3. Calgary, 4.708 SoS Calgary has the toughest schedule among North American playoff teams, but I can't see them falling into a wildcard spot. Oh, and Adi Dassler is cooking right now. 4. Toronto, 4.56 SoS 5. Seattle, 4.24 SoS Currently trailing Toronto for the top spot, but they've been trending upwards since last week's trade(s). 6. D.C., 4.11 SoS 7. Vancouver, 4.04 SoS I am skeptical about their recent trades, but Vancouver has a strong team that could go on a run if things start to click. 8. New York, 3.62 SoS New York has by far the easiest schedule that should have them coasting into the playoffs, perhaps bumping them into the top three. If anybody actually reads this, who do you think wins each conference? Also, does London or Prague make the playoffs?
