  1. Bjoernsson was clearly the better goalie today
  2. Tough game, really could use some D out here to help me.
  3. More goals against but a better save percentage than Bjoernsson. I'll take it!
  4. Weak game from both goalies here. But nice to see and OT game
  5. Very strong effort. Swung the game even if it couldn't get them the win.
  6. Now that I'm drafted to Mississauga Hounds, I'm in need of a new signature. Help a man with no GFX skill out please! Render can be any goalie. If you want to do a logo swap then the Winnipeg Jets are our jerseys.

Well thank god there's a second part
  8. I see two main ways to deal with the recruiting success in the short term based on what others are saying. Introducing 3 line requirements. or Bumping the VHLM Cap to like 250-300. Make it a 2 VHLM season and then the 3rd cuts the number of VHL seasons.
  9. We are about 50 games away from finding out lol
  10. With the VHLM draft wrapped up, we were able to catch up with Rayz Funk and ask him a few questions. How happy are you with your spot in the draft? "I'm quite happy to have gone as early as I did. I would always like to go earlier but to even be in the first round is pretty amazing as a goalie." How do you like Mississauga? "Mississauga is a pretty good place. I'm enjoying the atmosphere in the city and with our jerseys recently announced, I'm very happy here." What do you think of the staff there? "Our GM and AGM are great people. They both clearly care about the team and are looking to improve the team as much as possible." What is your goal for this season? "I am hoping to be the best goalie available for the upcoming VHL draft. I'm hoping that we can win the title here in the VHLM before I head up next season. If we aren't challenging for that my GM has already indicated to me that he will try to do whats best for his players careers." It seems like Funk is going to be a strong goalie this year. We will have to see how the season plays out.
  11. Sign me up for free stuff
  12. Don't forget we in Mississauga have our protector (who also happened to defend a Stark girl) the Hound!
  13. Hmmmmmm, signs point to possible greatness with this one!
  14. Rayz Funk answers the press conference questions. 1. The free agents were good pickups. Both players show strong 2nd year potential which I don't think I'll be around for unless I get hurt. 2. Depth at D is a league wide issue. Our management has made it clear they intend to work on it. This could sting a lot of teams but I trust our GM and AGM 3. Traded up past me and then pick a forward as an expansion? Get real, they are not a rival and don't have the brains in management to get good enough for a rivalry. 4. Probably Philly, they seem to be clear cup contenders. With only one shot at this here I'd like to go for broke. 5. VHL I'd just like the starting role for anyone. I know it would be tough but I wouldn't mind the experience. 6. Quality of picks I think we had the best. Our "weakness" came from our GM making moves to secure me losing a couple picks. Which I greatly appreciate.
  15. With the S66 draft in the books, we go back and take a look at what the who the expansion teams took and what they look like going into free agency. Mexico City Kings 1st Round - 2nd Overall: RW - Aleksander Rodriguez 1st Round – 9th Overall: G - Wrike Chyrnoble 2nd Round – 16th Overall: D - Guillaume Fontenette 3rd Round – 29th Overall: D - Hiromu Takahashi 3rd Round – 31st Overall: D - Derek England 5th Round – 53rd Overall: C - Eeli Harju 8th Round – 86th Overall: D - Codrick Past (Ineligble) Mexico had a strong draft by securing five picks in the first three rounds. Mexico currently sits with three 100 TPE+ players who will be their key performers for this season. They selected right winger Aleksander Rodriguez, who will be a strong player and will cap before the season starts. With the ninth pick they take the third goalie in the draft Wrike Chynoble. He will likely only last one season but could be enough to make them contenders. With the sixteenth pick, Mexico took Guillaume Fontenette, a strong playmaking defenceman. Mississauga Hounds 1st Round – 3rd Overall: G - Rayz Funk 2nd Round – 22nd Overall: D - Hulk Hogan 3rd Round – 33rd Overall: LW - Cody Smith 4th Round – 36th Overall: C - Dan Gles 5th Round – 55th Overall: LW - Chett Bandy 6th Round – 66th Overall: C - Scott Greene 7th Round – 77th Overall: D - Khalabib Stiopic 8th Round – 88th Overall: LW - Richard Tremblay Mississauga had a lacklustre draft. They will be looking to make a splash in the upcoming free agency. They made some noise when they moved up to third overall, giving up a 2nd and a 4th to do so. With the third overall pick they took Rayz Funk, the first goalie of four selected in the first round. He will be the cornerstone that Mississauga builds a team around this season. With the twenty-second pick, Mississauga took Hulk Hogan. This was higher than expected for a sub 100 TPE player in a deep draft. With the thirty third overall pick, Mississauga picked Cody Smith who slipped farther than he should have, considering he is a 135 TPE+ player. Cody Smith was a steal for Mississauga this late in the draft. San Diego Marlins 1st Round – 5th Overall: C - Phil Marleau 1st Round – 10th Overall: LW - Edgar Tannahill 2nd Round – 15th Overall: G - Greg Eagles 2nd Round – 21st Overall: D - Samuel Sparrow 3rd Round – 27th Overall: RW - Andrei Mikhailov 3rd Round – 32nd Overall: D - Dean Clarke 4th Round – 43rd Overall: LW - David Clarkson 5th Round – 54th Overall: C - Scotty BigShotty 6th Round – 65th Overall: LW - Lexington Lewis 7th Round – 76th Overall: D - Taylor Budwaisor 8th Round – 87th Overall: C - Ludvig Sederstrom (Ineligible) San Diego had a strong draft with six picks in the first three rounds. They snagged a first-round pick from Yukon in return for their first round pick next year. With the fifth overall pick, San Diego picked Phil Marleau. Not much is known about him as his player page is broken. With the tenth overall pick, they selected left wing Edgar Tannahill. He will likely be their strongest player and will be the focus player for them this year. With the fifteenth pick, San Diego selected Greg Eagles. He will be San Diego’s starting goalie this season and possibly next season as well. He is young but is making waves so far. With the expansion draft and the draft being complete, teams will now turn to trades and free agents to complete lines and fill out the remaining roster spots. My final ranks for these teams draft picks would be: 1. San Diego Marlins 2. Mexico City Kings 3. Mississauga Hounds
  16. 1. I had heard rumours of who was going to draft me but with so many teams needing goalies I was never sure. 2. Team seems to have a good environment around it. I'm quite happy with how everything is. 3. Well not many options for me as a goalie but all I can say is I will play to win. 4. I'll just give a shout out to everyone on discord. Every person there wants to help you out. 5. I think everyone has a shot this year thanks to the depth of the recent draft. I think we are a playoff team at least. 6. I want to break .900% this season but that will be a tough thing to do.
