  1. Disclaimer: I’m not a god at predicting this stuff. I’m sorry if I come off as bias or rude. Any complaints will gladly be taken and any comments to help out. Thank you for reading this. 1. @11 Eleven (Scoringson) This was a tough decision because like many others, and no disrespect, but I see a potential flaw that will hurt Scoringson's game which I will be most likely writing an article about if you wanna see that. Nonetheless I wish this flaw to not occur in his career, and the only contending player for this spot is Kevin Low. Who will be in this media spot, obviously and now I shall talk about his strengths. Scoringson is of course as you know a good and strong shooter. Will most likely lead his class in goals scored the previous season to being drafted. His passing is pretty up there for someone who wants to be a scorer and not a playmaker. His speed and skating is good enough to make him not look like a fool. He’s working on his defense, which will help his Reapers. Now to get started on his cons. Again no hate towards the man and I won’t include all of his 40's just some. His puck handling isn’t that good pretty decent in my honest opinion. For a scorer his penalty shot is pretty low, and he doesn’t want to lead a team. (Leadership.) 2. @Smarch (Low) As I said a tough decision. A reason why is because Scoringson is a forward and Low isn’t. But don’t let that hold you back from how good this man is. He has as much TPE as Scoringson but no one is talking about him. I’m on the rink of saying he is an offensive defensemen, yet I see him as more of a two-way player. He’s not that bad at shooting (70 TPE) and he’s a pretty good passer (70 TPE), and as his position states he’s pretty good at defense (70 TPE.) Just like Scoringson he doesn’t have important cons, except for checking, but I do hope he sees this so he can upgrade his checking. So he’s similar to a player who isn’t great at one thing, but good at a bit of everything. 3. @Savoire Faire (Chyrnoble) Great Goalie, and future Best Goalie in the league. He will probably be picked lower than expected, due to his position. Also, just like I said with Low, he isn’t great at one thing, but good at every little one thing. Yes, this will spring up a topic such as 'But, Big Mac so you don’t know what type of player they are' , and that’s what makes them special. You don’t know what to do to stop them, and that’s simple. All I’m gonna say is he’s a great goalie period (.) 4. @Hybrid1486 (Kuwanger) The only non-goalie in this top 5 who hasn’t scored a goal. That’s how good Kuwanger is. Boomer Kuwanger doesn’t need to score, and that’s that. Put the puck in his hands and it’s magic. He has 11 assists. The only player in this top 5 with more than 10 in either goals or assists. He’s a good passer, and an even better defender (Not according to TPE). His main downside is his shooting, but his excuse is he’s back shooting inaccurate slap shots. So there’s your number 4. 5. @Quik (TEAR) Big font for a big man. He’s definitely not gonna score, and that’s ok. He is an enforcer, and boy oh boy, I’m not sure about you, but I love a good enforcer. There isn’t much to say about Tear, he’s really physical and only has 2 PIMs. That’s crazy, and I hope he becomes a goon and becomes your player's nightmare. Just imagine a 6'8 50 year old bodying you that would hurt.
  2. Thank you for the constructive criticism, I kind of made it less about a rookie Profile and added some stuff, and I hope it helps.
  3. 1. Why did you make someone for Britain? 2. What type of player do you see yourself as? 3. If there was a prospect from your class that you could team up with, who would it be? 4. What team do you want to be drafted by? 5. What would your best case scenario be? 6. How well do you think you’ll play in the upcoming season?
  4. Andrei Mikhailov Early Life Mikhailov was born in the city of Moscow to two high school students. His father dropped out of high school and became a mechanic. It wasn’t until Andrei was 7 where he learned about hockey. At this point in time nothing important was happening and Andrei was living with his mother and grandparents. His father left soon and decided that it would be better if he was gone, and the story leaves a young Andrei in tears. 7 years later pass. Andrei was celebrating his birthday during winter and he usually played basketball, but decided it was to cold for that. His grandfather had a pair of skates for Andrei, as a present. Andrei didn’t know what to think of the gift, but he appreciated it. Few minutes passed and his grandfather brought out two hockey sticks and announced that "Andrei and I will be going to the rink." (In Russian). So to the rink they went, and of course Andrei had fallen a few times and didn’t understand the rules, but he did get a big hit (progress!). Andrei began his passionate love for ice hockey, and he practiced at a lake with his grandfather. Slowly getting better and better. He was determined to finally become the superstar of his family, and shine out. He soon got a goal and started practice even more and more. Sometimes he’d work night and day. He was tireless, and wouldn’t give up any time soon. He would later say "I didn’t sleep often, which isn’t something you should do, but I believe if I didn’t do that I wouldn’t be the way I am today." He thought in his mind at the time he would play basketball and hockey. This decision didn’t last long. When he was 11 nearing the end of his Early Life, he sprained his ankle playing basketball, and he wouldn’t be able to play either sport for 12 weeks, and stopped his basketball career. He didn’t usually shine, and it’s hard for most people to recover from an injury, but Andrei was determined to make it big in the hockey industry so he signed up for a youth league. In his under 13 league he had a pretty good run with 30 pts in 40 games with 19 goals and 11 assists. He had two more good runs as a captain and an alternate. He once made headlines in a magazine, and gained some fan around his local area. He tried his best to stay humble, and he failed terribly, and he was very boastful and bragged often. The next year when he was 12 he had 28 goals and 38 assists in 40 games captaining the squad. They won a championship Andrei's first. Teen Years After some solid years in the youth hockey league where he was seen to be to small for hockey in the professionals at 6'0 and 129 lbs (due to his weight). This wasn’t a problem for him though, as when he got older he suddenly had a huge unexpected growth spurt in which he became 6'4 (at 15). Nobody in his family could even graze 6'3 as an adult. The doctor was shocked at the sudden growth. They knew he was gonna be bigger than average but not 6'4. It was a new thing for him, as he struggle with some things, and overall felt different. He started putting on some weight to support his new height and setup a new daily routine. When he was 16 he dropped out of high school to compete in some more hockey leagues. He ended up joining the KHL (formerly RSL) and signed to the Moscow Dynamo. In Moscow he became an Alternate Captain, and had 73 points in 56 games, yet he showed low signs of playmaking having 40 goals and 23 assists. By the end of the season he had finally reunited with his father, and they where on speaking terms. Andrei has said "I’m happy for what the future presents for me, and I’m hoping for,the best." He tried keeping his head up was trying to make up his mind on where he was going to the VHL, NHL, or SHL. Then he was faced with a trial in life, and boy was it a shock. His grandfather got cancer (pancreas) and was predicted to have three years left. His game started falling off, and he couldn’t practice the same way anymore. He is finishing up his final season with Moscow, and the playoffs are coming to a end. He has currently declared himself eligible for the VHLM draft. He has grown to be 6'8 and 230 lbs. He has already been speaking to two GM's for VHLM team (one expansion one non-expansion). His team closing in for a championship, and Andrei leading them to gold. Though his focus is on the championship, but his main focus is what does the future hold for him. A decision he always lauded off on, and a decision he would soon later make. A good surprise happened during the playoffs and it was He was healed of his pancreatic cancer. Plans For the future Andrei plans that he might later sign as a NHL free agent. He wants to try his best, but he doesn’t have high expectations, and doesn’t think he’ll ever win an outstanding player of the year award. His teams that he thinks he will be joining in the VHLM are the LYNX, Hounds, and the Marlins. The future is bright for this 'Young Russian' with high expectations and high potential, it is up to him to keep his work ethic and stay active on the ice. Hopefully he doesn’t become lazy and give up, but in the end it is his choice. A choice of will he follow through or will he play it off. He is planning to land somewhere in Souther Canada or Northern US. He has prepared for this day and he is ready. Hockey Stats Pros Scoring: The thing he practice most on the lake was his scoring. He had to shoot 250 shots a day to improve his shooting, and it played off. Skating: Of course when he was on the lake, he had to practice skating, and he failed at first (terribly) but he has prevailed and he is learning to get better. Checking: He practiced poke checks on his grandfather and when he went into to games he took his frustrations out on the other kids, and it worked. Downsides Discipline: He is still a kid and kids are hot-headed, and they always wanna prove something when they shouldn’t, and Andrei is the same way. Passing: He used to be known as a playmaker, but he stopped having that satisfaction of sharing, and he is selfish, so that’s not a good combo. Defense: He often has late back checks and can’t really cover or block shots, and he’s a goalie's enemy not only on offense but defense also.
  5. We have managed to get some questions in for Andrei Mikhailov "Mikhailov, what type of player do you see yourself as?" Mikhailov replied by saying "A pure scorer." Andrei if you can choose one (S67) prospect to be on your team or as a fellow linesmen who would it be and why? "I’d say Aston Martin, because his passing would be a great compliment, and Ray Funkz due to his work on rebounds, but if there is defense needed without a doubt it would be Brendan J. Lawn." What is your ideal draft spot, and he would reply saying "I’m not sure if this will happen but I do see a top ten pick if not top 20 for sure, and there are doubts always, as this is such an electric draft class with Scoringson, ACL Tear, Kevin Low, and I could go on and on..." Last question who do you think is the best player in this class? (S67) "I’d like to say my fellow European Bjorn Scoringson, but Kevin Low is playing solid defense and scoring the same amount of goals as Scoringson, so I’m going with Low, and yeah that’s a tough one, but I just have to say for now Low, but for the future it’s Scoringson without a doubt." That's all folks thanks for tuning in!
  6. Name: Andrei Mikhailov Age: 17 Height: 6'8 Weight: 230 The Russian native, has traveled the world and is making his next stop 'The VHLM' and hopefully the VHL. He is a hit or miss prospect with a lot of talent. The thing is are GMs interested. Only him and the GMs know. Let’s see if he can impress some GMs or AGMs. Here is the quik summary. Scouted Stats Upsides Scoring: "Kid is a natural when he shoots. It’s almost like he’s telling He puck to go in. Whether it’s a slap or a wrister; it clearly doesn’t matter. He claims to work on his scoring every week. No matter what is going on in the day even in an accident; he still finds time." Another reporter said, "It’s gonna be struggle for deffensemen and goalies to block his shots. I could see him having at least 30 goals." Some fans in Russia will say "He’s a great shooter, he keeps his eye on the puck and the goalie, and I think he makes hard plays look easy, and not everyone can do that." Skating: "Kid is skates gracefully for someone his size. There isn’t much you can say." Mikhailov said "As Americans say 'The Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree' ,as my dad was a professional Olympic skater, I was trained regularly by him and it's become a natural thing." Some commentators say "He isn’t a phenomenal skater, but don’t sleep on him, and he definitely skates better then his shorter forwards/ defensemen, and it’s rare for a bigger man to have such control." Checking: A scout said "I’m not saying his defense is good. I’m not saying his checking is great, but he is definitely on par with most of his young talent out there. He trys his best to keep the puck off of the oppisition's stick ,and unlike most he succeeds." The Same scout has something to say about his body checking "He isn’t an aggressive player, but if he’s going for a hit it’s gonna be a big one, you just have to hope he doesn’t make mistake and get a penalty called on him." Downsides Discipline: "He is a very person to heat up, unless you’re a fan he’ll turn into a monster. Which will definitely get him penalty minutes." Passing: "He isn’t a playmaker. I see potential in his playmaking, but I’m gonna have to say it He is almost 'selfish'. He doesn’t like being told what to do with the puck, if you tell him to pass he won’t listen. When he does it is okay, his passing is also nearly horrid." He has also been said to 'Not practice passing' which isn’t a good sign. Defense: "He tends to slack on defense. He seems not caring to much about covering the puck. He’s either talking to a fan, or chattering with a ref. As we said earlier he can poke check but he is a slacker on defense. Teams might pass on him due to this."
