  1. It's hard to believe the season is half over. Seems like it just started last week. I wish the off season felt that fast but it has a lot going on at that time. The Iron Eagles seem to be the dominate team in the E. Axle has found some success as of late and has been hanging around a point per game. I think that is a good place to be considering the amount of forwards the team plays. It would be nice to get a cup in that league and it looks like my chances are very good. Of course I thought that in the M with Philly but that team shit the bed in the playoffs. Anything can happen so one can only hope for a cup no matter where you end up in the standings at the end of the season. Banking tpe is the main goal for Axle right now and he should be in good shape to make his VHL debut with a balanced build that will only get better, like a fine wine. Let's hope the last half of the season we see some good stats and of course continue to win. Word count: 199
  2. Review: You have the making of a very good looking sig. I like the render, very detailed and nice punch to make his face stand out. The background serves it's purpose, simple and not boring but not distracting. I like the text with the gradient. For the most part it has what it takes to be very good. I think for me, the NHL branding really takes away from this graphic and the formatting is off. The balance could be better if the render was maybe pushed inward a bit and maybe slightly larger. The text could be lower and that would at least put you in a format that has some balance. Overall I think it's a great layout, just needs a few tweaks. 8/10

Review: I really like this style. Very clean looking with the focal point that is very obvious. I like the background and blue overlay. Nice blending job with that. The text looks really good. I love the font choices and the formatting looks well balanced. With the clean render face, the logo swap and a good looking text, you really made this a standout. I am a huge fan of this style for sure. I can't really pick anything to comment on that needs changing. Job well done. 9/10
  4. Yes indeed.
  5. Player with a cocky attitude suspended for 5 games due to licking players on the opposing team.
  6. Good stuff
  7. Axle Gunner enters the E It's been a long season in the M. Axle Gunner showed a bit of talent during his one season in that league. Tied for the most points after finishing the season, he has big expectations going into the next tier of competition. With a skill cap reached at the start of the season, it should set the stage for a successful season with the Iron Eagles. Not knowing much about the E, Axle set goals and expectations for the season. Though some of his initial goals have not come to light yet, there is still plenty of time to showcase some skill. It was a given that he would play just fine and should have the skills to help the team win and produce at a steady pace. For the most part, everything has gone as expected. When something doesn't feel right, Axle has been known to speak his mind. He puts a lot of work into learning skills and expects too much from others. That gets him in trouble on occasion. He is passionate about his play. Loves to be the center of attention and is house broken. What else could you ask from a cocky center trying to make his mark. The future is the place where his dreams should come to fruition. Being drafted fourth overall to the legend of a team, Moscow. In the E, things have been a bit bumpy. Finding early success and then falling off as of late. Axle takes shit personal and was headed down the wrong path when things weren't going his way. I think the E and the team will put him in his place and hopefully he will not be such dick when all is said and done. Being the first time in this league has been something he will not forget. For better or worse, he should come out of the E with a better attitude and respect for the league. Right now, it's a day to day thing to see if he can pull his head out of his ass and score a few goals. He has the talent, just needs some luck and a “can do” mindset. Axle needs to learn the big boy system they play in the E. Unlike the M, where the players still pissed themselves after being hit, the players in the E are much bigger, and tougher. It might take him a bit to get used to being hit by players that have tattoos on their neck and face. Ya, it's a badass league with players that can hurt you. It might take a few blows to the head to get his attention but I think Axle will fair okay. Europe is like a whole other country. Strange customs to learn even though his stay will be brief. The jury is still out on if Axle will have a strong season or just get through it. No matter what, it seems like it was something that needed to be tried.
  8. One foot out the door, the other on a banana peel

  9. I really enjoyed my time on the LA team with I think Merrick. Solid back then and I hope they can take that next step to the cup.

Just stop watching. I mow the lawn everyday now.
  11. I think it's a good topic to have a healthy discussion about. I see all the points everyone is making and it seems like there is a couple of different views about the E. I don't have a huge history here. I started in May, 2019. I just remember those days. I am sure the league had strange hurdles to jump from the time it was formed. This is where we are now, that's all I see.
  12. Fifty games left in the season, and counting. So far, the season has been fairly average. Axle is hovering around a point per game and getting plenty of minutes. I get a little concerned at times about his play but it seems to be the normal luck of the Simon magic “Eight Ball” on how good a game will go. Axle is at cap and just banking for his advancement to Moscow. I think that will be a good place to be for a rookie season. They will have the proper amount of players and not have to worry about playing a herd of forwards. I don't know why anyone would want to GM a team in the E or the M in it's current state. Long gone are the days of progression. The term “player retention” is used in the wrong context in those leagues. Retaining players to advance to the next league and have a career in the VHL seem to be an old rumor. The M and E are retaining players to stay in those leagues with no encouragement to earn and become and big league player. This seems to only trouble a few members that I have talked to and looks like this is the new norm moving forward. I miss the old days. The M was a hopping place to be no matter what team you were on, it was mostly players helping players earn and make plans to rejoin the fun on a big league team. It was always a stark contrast once you were elevated to the VHL and wondered why the locker rooms were so dead. With all the excitement from the M, the VHL almost felt like a downgrade. After adjusting to the lack of players chatting and helping each other, I realized that most of the players in the VHL have been through the cycle many times and if you didn't know how to earn at that point, you didn't pay attention. Of course the league was very active when pushing for the playoffs. It's always fun to remember the good times. The way the league has evolved just makes it a bit harder to go through the M and now the E without wondering what it would be like if it were still development leagues instead of the players that remain there for several seasons. At least the VHL has great teams and great leaders still. It makes the short comings of the minor leagues easy to forget. Word count: 419
  13. 1. You just lace them up and go out there and do your best with what you have to work with. 2. I saw the explosion and I am not cleaning it up. I think talent is on his side. 3. You can do it. GAA is just a number. 4. I am both but just have a dog right now. I want a cat but I like my furniture to not get clawed to death. Maybe I can find one from a shelter that's been declawed after my dog dies. 5. I finally finished watching "Titanic". Damn that's a long movie. 6. Well, Mario Cart would be my guess.
  14. Review: Interesting approach to making a graphic. I like how you blended three different photos and made it all seem to just work. The transitions are a bit harsh but the effect still works. You aren't afraid to do logo swaps and for the most part, they look good, although a bit too large from what I've seen. Your text is very nice with a script font and the right color, it really works well with this graphic. Overall, I like what I see. A couple of things that catches my eye. There are a couple of NHL logos still on your renders and your main render looks like he needs a liver transplant. Maybe a bit of color correction would have helped that. Good job. 8/10
  15. Review: You really made a good looking graphic with this design. I expect nothing less from you, very unique. I like the theme to start with. The render is facing the right way and your logo swap looks believable. Your choice of fonts really works with this design and your effects really complement the whole graphic. Nice job with the texture. I can't really find anything that I can complain about. Very well done and you set the standard for this style. 9.5/10

  17. Well we are off to the races in the E. Being drafted by the Iron Eagles, a team that has a great GM and a shit ton of players. This season might not have been the best timing to go into the E with the deletion of two teams and a draft that was much bigger and deeper than expected. That leaves teams with an unlimited amount of players with a finite space to pack them all in. I will say that the GM is doing a good job of balancing players. Winning looks like the something everyone is striving for. There are several players new to the E on the team alongside the ones that stay down and enjoy a career in the E. The builds are similar to the M builds. Simple two skill builds that work great at such a low level. I can see why staying down if you don't want to earn much each week can still be fun to do. Axle has a more traditional build and will dump his banked tpe into when the time comes to move up to Moscow, the team I was drafted by. I am hoping to not have such a poor rookie season as my previous players have had by not going through the E. I am hoping it will give me a season to have a build that will fit in right away and just go from there. That was my thinking at least when I decided to try the E. I feel it was the right call and I should be a better player in the big league because of that choice. Good luck to everyone. Word count: 280
  18. Review: You made a fun graphic to look at. Sometimes less is more and I think that's the case with your project here. Very simple design with subtle effects that make this graphic look clean and straight to the point. Very nice job on the logo swap. Looks like you nailed the perspective. The background logo looks really nice with whatever you used for effects. Motion blur maybe but it looks very nice. While I like the font you used, I am not a huge fan of vertical text. I think you did a fine job with the text, just not my cup of beer. Overall I really like what you did. You have skills, let's see more. 9/10
  19. Review: Great design. Very popular style and you did a really good job with this one. I like graphics that have layers of textures and effects that compliment the design without taking away from the focal point. You attention to detail is spot on. De-Branding the render is a must in my opinion and you got rid of any trace of NHL. The text is a very good design and you pulled it off with style. I really like the detail and color in the render's face. If I had to add a suggestion, it woulld be to have the render facing inwards instead of the edge. Great job. 9/10
