  1. Review: Very nice design. I like the background effects and the renders are placed really well. Nice logo swap and one of the best parts, you got rid of the NHL branding. I think the only helpful tip I would give you is try to blend all your elements together a bit better. Just takes practice. Overall, I love the design and effort. Job well done. 9/10
  2. I bet you will hit the "Big" Two O when you make the next Spartcast. Good stuff
  3. Thank you for your kind words. The little girl and the big bear, brown bear btw, are just part of the theme of harmony between complete opposites. This is all constructed and took several hours. It's a fantasy scene so nothing is going to be accurate, like mountains in Seattle. I know the style I have been posting isn't the popular sig style but it's what I like to make. Stay safe. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qtB_8Ec-j1l0AJhiiTeP78fz7Vnz3dYY/view?usp=sharing
  4. The season finally started. It seems like a year since we last played. Well maybe a dog year but it felt too long. Now that we are playing, everything is falling back into place. Teams are looking strong in the North American conference. Seattle has a bit of a different look and it will be a challenging season to say the least. We will still push it to the limits, we always do. This new skill system has proven to be a good move. Though I have to scratch my head sometimes when adding TPE, it does seem to work. I think it is easier for players with a ton of TPE to narrow in on a skill without taking as many skills that are tied to the one they want. For us lower tier players, penalty shot will be more of a thing than it needs to be. It should work out in the end and I am happy for the system they worked hard on. I have no clue how the season will play out. I hope to make the playoffs and have an impact as a player and as a team. Good luck to all. Stay safe.
  5. 1. New season, new feel. How are you feeling going into the new season? I am feeling good going into this season. It might be a struggle this time but we will have fun. 2. Did you Participate in VHFL? How's your team look? No I did not. I thought about it, then forgot about it. 3. Did you remember to do your predictions? Which is your lock of the year prediction? I did my predictions but I don't think I got any one of them remotely close. 4. How do you think your build with the new attribute system turned out - we got a preview with pre-season and the first few sims of the season! Build system is great in many ways. Just takes a bit to get used to it. 5. Off-season was super long... was it too long of a break, or was it well needed? Too long. Let's not have another one this long. 6. NHL Playoffs starting soon; Stanley Cup Prediction? I really think it is the Hartford Whalers turn to win the cup. I could be wrong.
  6. Review: Very nice design. Really good detail work with the eyes. I like the look of this graphic. It has a great curb appeal. The building is hard to figure out and I think you could have worked that a bit different but it's your design. NHL branding should have been removed. Overall and really fun looking graphic. 8/10
  7. Review: Classic sig design. I really like the formatting. It looks well balanced. Render looks good and clipped properly. All the effects look fitting except I am not sure about the lighting. The render has a clear highlight on his back but the lighting effect is in front. Other effects impact this graphic in a positive way. Text looks good and well placed. Great job overall 8/10
  8. We are slowly inching our way to the start of season 84. It seems like the off-season has been especially painful this time around. I don't know why, it just seemed that way. I have yet to look at the other teams and see who looks strong and who doesn't. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out but several teams have different rosters now and only time will tell if they are successful. Seattle looks like it always does after a cup win. Strong and determined no matter what the roster indicates. I would assume Moscow will still be a team to reckon with along with many of the Euro group. It should be in interesting season. Going into the second “new era” season, players have made some build adjustments that we will have to wait and see if it impacts the actual play on the ice. I think a few adjustments to the new system is in order. I am not used to a TPE point being worth much less than before. Depreciation needs to reflect this new system as well. Everyone stay safe and I will see you on the ice.
  9. 7. What do you think gave Seattle the edge and the victory in the series and season? Teamwork, leadership and talent. Along with the experience of being there several times before. 8. What was the LR like when the team won the cup? Very active. Lot's of drinking, hugs and hookers. 9. What were your overall thoughts on the season and your time in Seattle during 83? It was a good season for Max as a player. Always good to be on a winning team. 10. Seattle drafted @DoktorFunk 16OV and "reached hard to get him". Thoughts on this pick? Time will tell but it was a good choice. 11. Seattle traded for @samx after LA made an oopsie. The city of Seattle gifted her some things to welcome Sam... What did they gift?? A private dressing stall and shower without cameras. 12. @Hogan cannot be stopped. Is he maybe one of the greatest champs of all time? How does he do it? He is a dedicated player that is well liked.
  10. Review: Fun design. Good to see you thinking outside the box. It looks like some effort was put into this and you are a new member so you did fine for an early attempt. I won't comment on what you should have done differently or how to do certain things. I have a feeling you will work on your skills and do things differently as you progress. Much better than any of my early work. 8/10
  11. Review: Colorful sig. Render looks good although the format is all over the place it still looks good. You are using a lot of swirl distortion and it seems to work with this graphic. Logo swap is nice. Text isn't horrible but could be placed better. I would have liked to see some detail in the players face, it's a bit washed out. Good effort and I see you only getting better. 8/10
  12. Pen tool to cut out the arm, input logo, warp to folds, put arm back. Fun stuff. Thank you for your comment.
  13. How did everyone feel about last season with the new TPE system? I am still trying to get a grip on it but I have figured out a couple of things. One, it takes a shit ton of TPE to increase a skill you might be focused on. Second, you are basically forced into taking skills that you normally wouldn't waste points in, Penalty Shot. While I am a huge fan of this system, it is brutal when you try to plan a build. I have succumbed to the fact that I have to use what they gave us and in the end, we should be better off for it. I had purchased a re-roll but quickly reversed that purchase once I figured out I couldn't gain really anything that I wanted with only 750 TPE. I will run with what I have for another season or two then re-roll if it makes sense. Enjoy the off-season and everyone stay safe.
  14. I have no idea why I didn't think of that. Good call. I take that comment back. Enjoy your day.
  15. Review: This is a large graphic that needs a large render. The most common size would have the players helmet clip the top boarder and cutoff at or just below the waist, yes, a huge render. If you made your render pop like the text it would have really helped the lack of detail and the low brightness. This is not bad. A good design concept that needs to go a bit further. Clean off any NHL branding. Good effort, you will only get better. 8/10
  16. Review: Fun graphic from a fun member. The render really stands out. Logo swap is there. Text is right inline with what you have done in the past. The focal point is clear. Outside of not cleaning off the NHL branding and "B" on the helmet, you did a good job. You being you, good stuff. 8/10
  17. 1. SEATTLE WON THE CUP. If you were a current player, what was it like to feel the cup raised above your head? Feels so good I had to smoke a cigarette afterwards. 2. For some members, like @Jubis and @dasboot, they waited a long time to win. What was it like to win with them? Great for them, great for the team to have them. 3. Being down 3-2 in the series, what were you thinking during that time? What was the LR like? We stepped up and played our game. I was thinking about winning the next game. 4. Your opponent was worthy. Moscow was a good team. What were some things they did good - maybe better? Well they shot the puck a lot. Luckily, they only count the ones that go in. 5. Pick one player from Moscow and tag them who made a huge difference for them. Why did they make that difference? Spartan because without great leadership, they would have had a hard time in the conference they were in. 6. Who do you think was the Bears MVP in the playoffs? Why? Mr. Flex would be at the top of my list. Played with passion and the desire to win.
  18. Another recycled Admin laced top earning draft with a couple of blue collar players thrown in for good measure. Great picks, copy and paste for next season. /s
