June 10th, 2014 If Lukas Nyquist is available at the 11th/12th position in the draft Quebec will be selecting him. Frank Chadwick has made it no secret that he is hoping that the young Swede will be there when Quebec steps up to the podium. "He has so much untapped offensive potential we think he is just starting to scratch the service, we can easily see him being the steal of the draft." High praise from Quebec's GM not to mention heavy expectations to place on such a young athlete. Lukas Nyquist a native of Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. Draft picks are like lottery tickets the more you have the better your chances. There is no market for rentals right now so Quebec is pretty happy getting this for Clifford.

June 4th, 2013 With the trade deadline slowly creeping up teams are starting to prepare for long playoff runs, or re-shuffling the deck. Unlike recent years, Season 38 has a lot of contenders in cap crunch mode. One team that currently has space and the need for a couple key pieces to push them over the top would be Vasteras. On the other end of the spectrum Quebec currently possess two players in their final seasons, those being Doug Clifford and Tom Valiq. With not many dance partners out there for Quebec the price for the two players combined is said to be below market value. A rumour inside the Quebec organization is that the rebuild has begun and it's not a matter of if they move out their teams assets but when. Currently the prospect pool in Quebec is quite thin with Brock Waldron, Aksel Thomassen and Percy Miller leading the way. Quebec will look to strong drafting going forward. Vasteras core is slowly entering their primes and it may be the perfect time for them to stock up two players like Clifford and Valiq with the available cap space they do have and the offense they so desperately need.
