  4. Helsinki has a new rule in honor of Easter and you get to help make it... person with the least __________ has to wear bunny ears and a tail at practice after the games in the month of april. Fill in the blank and tell me who you think will be wearing those ears lol. The person with the least penalty minutes has to wear bunny ears. I think it'll be Magnus Verlander @Jbeezy76. Who is the one teammate you know would have stolen eggs out of your Easter basket as a child? do you even care that they would take them. Zamboni Driver @Tape-to-Tape loves committing highway robbery on VHL shooters. So it should surprise no.one that he also robbed me of easter eggs each year. Does your family live in Helsinki with you? What are your usual Holiday plans? No because of Covid they're stuck in Canada. So we'll have to face time unfortunately. What is the most hype part about being on our team (or even being a prospect on our team) ? The discord locker room is so much fun and everyone on the team, prospects included. Have amazing personalities. I feel like our LR really meshes well. "Good, bad, pretty or ugly your team has your back till the end" Do you feel this is a creed that VHL members should strive to achieve? Why or why not? To a certain degree yes. But a little drama does make things interesting. As long as it's not here in Helsinki. Are you bringing in treats on Easter or are you mooching candy off your buddies? or are you a health nut and abstaining? I'll probably just steal what I can from @PatrikLaine's locker since he's always last off the ice.
  5. If you're adding an image under user profiles on posts you'd have to get someone to make images or tags for each team. Then you need to find where to add the code in the forums html for each group. Maybe there is a way to have groups updated by the portal rosters?@Sonnet @Beketov @Plate
  6. @Mistxh J For when @diamond_ace inevitably calls you up to the VHL.
  7. @Mistxh J is next then you're up. We'll see if I can knock em both out in the next day or two.
  8. Monday March 15, 2021 -Titans players reported for training camp at 9 am with introductions as well as a morning skate. New draftees Gustislav Nascherov @Vat Elvis Michael@ATST and Bryn Yrwy @dylanjj37 all attended before being sent back to their VHLM teams. -Rookies were put through the usual hazing ritual of hiding their equipment in various spots throughout the practice facilities. -New signee Venus Thightrap @BladeMaiden looked to be gelling with her new teammates rather seamlessly. -Patrik Laine @PatrikLaine was first on the ice for morning skate. Looks to be in even better shape this season. Tuesday March 16, 2021 -No morning skate, practice at 12pm. White vs Blue scrimmage at 5pm. -Helsinki coach Ignatius Feltersnatch barks orders at his players, seems to have a fixation on Thightrap. Team Blue F Thightrap @BladeMaiden - Vikingstad @Dil - Vick Fairchild @GreenGato Verlander @Jbeezy76 - Pacheco @jpach - Dasher @Slick D Rune @Emi - Hjalmarsson @McLovin Oldenburger @Jacob oldenburger G Gibson @Caboose30 Team White F Dan Dan @MMFLEX - Vaakanainen @Jubo07 - Patrik Laine @PatrikLaine Kenway @Edgy Mcedgelord - Yrwy @dylanjj37 - Nascherov @Vat D Helminen @Big Bob - Cloudera @kentakira Michael @ATST G Driver @Tape-to-Tape BENCHED - Moreau @Frank -Scrimmage Highlights Patrik Laine scores 5 goals. Clear chemistry between Thightrap and Vikingstad. Zamboni Driver is a brick wall. Wednesday March 17, 2021 -Morning skate 9am. Moreau late for skate, fined $10k by team. -Special teams work 12pm. Power Play Unit Thightrap - Vaakanainen - Vikingstad Laine - Rune Looks like they're loading up their unit with 4 forwards. Crisp passes and fast puck movement. The powerplay looks good in practice anyway. Thursday March 18, 2021 -Optional skate 10 am. Day off. Friday March 19, 2021 -Morning skate 9am followed by 12pm Practice and drills. -Moreau and DanDan fight to a draw during drills. @MMFLEX -Media availability 4pm. THE END
  9. In 40 years, what will people be nostalgic for? In 40 years people will be nostalgic for the Covid 19 Pandemic. As aliens ravage the earth and annihilate us with their laser beams, that is until the song Eso es el Amor by Slim Whitman plays. If animals could talk, which would be the rudest? Seaguls, the way they carpet bomb us with their shit. I can't imagine the things they would say if they could. Toilet paper, over or under? Over, the worst thing is toilet paper unraveling and under always causes this issue. In one sentence, how would you sum up your play-style? I think Moreau plays a solid physical two way game, but we'll see he might be awful and I might need to reclaim some TPA. Who do you predict will be in the box the most this season and WHY? Whoever has the highest checking, let me check. See what I did there, ok I know that was bad. The answer is my player, aww shiet. Oh well hopefully I don't bring the team down with all the PIMs. What’s the weirdest thing a reporter has done while in your locker room? What was your reaction? Tried to fight Venus Thightrap @BladeMaiden in the locker room after cat calling her. My reaction was shock as Venus deadlocked the reporter between her thighs until he lost consciousness. Shock and arousal to be quite honest.
  10. Aurelien Moreau Rookie Experience Aurelien Moreau (center) after loss in bronze medal game to team world. Graduating to the VHL in Season 77 After a disappointing WJC tournament for team Canada, Moreau is looking to help Helsinki in Season 77. Posting a meager 2 assists in 10 games after vowing to improve offensively this off season. I think you can easily say the tournament was a disappointment for Moreau and his team. Not even being able to win a medal which most pundits thought they would. Helsinki Titans general manager Julian Borwinn has set expectations high for the team in Season 77. A team with championship aspirations can not rely on sheltering Moreau in his rookie season. Moreau knows there are high expectations going into the season and that he'll be expected to provide a steady defensive presence as well as chip in offensively. Most scouts thought he would need another season in the VHLM to truly develop his all around game after posting a putrid -38 in Missassauga, despite showing flashes of offensive potential. Playing regular minutes in the VHL this season will be a big ask of Moreau, but we believe with the improved work ethic we've seen this off season that a lot of people will be surprised with his play. Expectations for the Rookie As we previously stated expectations will be high for Helsinki in Season 77, as well as Moreau. The team believes they got a steal with Aurelien at 9th overall. His huge frame and willingness to use his size to defend had teams drooling at the draft. The fact he has improved his shot this off season makes expectations that much higher. Even with a poor showing at the World Juniors most fans and pundits a like believe Moreau will be one of the top rookies of his class. Whispers around the team about expectations being 40 points and a high number of hits and shot blocks for Moreau this season. His playing time will likely be determined on how capable he is at defending opposing forwards in the best league in the world. As we said expectations will be high but a down season will not be cause for concern as Helsinki knows best that defenseman do take time to reach their potential. Reservations/Concerns The biggest reservation with Moreau's promotion is that he may have trouble developing his overall game in the VHL. Though the team believes his size will allow him to do that, that is a hasty conclusion. Based on stat watching only Moreau's -38 as stated previously is a glaring concern, even though he played on a poor Missassauga Hounds team. Scouts who watched him play also question his hockey sense as there were many questionable penaltys taken by Moreau throughout the season. The biggest concern will be whether Moreau can handle the fast pace of the VHL and adjust his game accordingly, in a league where the players are faster, stronger and more skilled than the VHLM.
