  1. This is way too civil, going to Seattle has made you soft.

  6. These are my top choices to succeed @Jubo as Helsinki Titans GM. I selected based on member standing as well as connection to Helsinki and which members I think will have the most success and fit seamlessly into a locker room that is ready to compete for a cup. @PatrikLaine Not a secret but my first choice based on his leadership within the locker room and his activity throughout the league. Easy member to get along with and very welcoming to new teammates. Has been a fixture in Helsinki for a while now. Basically all my insights here are first hand and if I was choosing the GM position Patrik Laine would get the job ahead of others. The recent connection to Helsinki as well as his various roles as Assistant GM, mostly recently AGM to Jubo. I feel like the strong relationship with Jubo will allow Patrik Laine to learn on the job and have a mentor to help guide him along. This transition would probably be the smoothest. @rjfryman Obviously his contributions around the VHL can't be understated. Updating player pages, work on the portal and running the pre and post draft TPE rankings. More importantly his time GMing the Houston Bulls of the VHLM. From what I have seen in my time in the Titans Discord is that Freeman is very well liked by current and past Titans alike. His player was almost traded to Helsinki in a controversial trade last off-season with Toronto. So I expect if he is named GM he will trade for his player at some point. @Acydburn His experience being a VHLM GM and Commissioner should speak for themselves. A respected member around the VHL, who should have no issues dealing with other GM's. If he's hired I would be interested to see if he continues being VHLM Commissioner as that will be a lot to take on. Honorable Mentions: @MattyIce @MexicanCow123 @Rayzor_7 @Advantage These FOUR @Domg5 edit, have just as many qualifications as any choices above. I would also be happy with any of these members. Clearly there are a lot of good candidates. So choose wisely @Beketov @Quik

    Better not be.
  8. Offseason 1) The offseason tends to be a boring time without training. What do you do to stay motivated and busy? Hoping for some big moves from Helsinki's new GM to help push us over the hump. That's my motivation looking to next season. 2) Is there anyone in particular you practice with during the offseason? We're a pretty tight group here so we'll all be sticking around and training together. We all weren't happy with how the season ended. 3) The WJC and WC usually get underway during the offseason. Do you tune into those at all? My player will be suiting up for Canada so hopefully he can make a difference. Last season was disappointing with no medal. Finals 4) What did you make of our efforts against the Seattle Bears? I liked the fact we kept 3 of our losses within a goal. I think there's lots of room for improvement. 5) Things got pretty chippy down there on the benches. How do you think had the best chirps? On Helsinki we chirp as a team we're always there to let Seattle know they fucked up. 6) How big of an achievement is it to get to the finals with such a young group? i think it's great, but we do have some older vets who will be going through depreciation. We are also potentially losing a top young player in Thightrap. So the next GM will need to make a couple moves to push Helsinki over the top. @PatrikLaine
  9. Helsinki, Finland May 9th, 2021 It all started during the season 77 draft when Helsinki selected Aurelien Moreau and Gustislav Nasherov @Vat who are poised to be great players in the VHL. Then we saw Helsinki swoop in and sign one of the best players in the league and if not an even better member Venus Thightrap @BladeMaiden. The signing solidified Helsinki with one of the strongest forward groups in the league. As well as bringing the locker room together. Without Thightrap, Helsinki would not have gotten past Warsaw in the conference finals. With an already stellar group consisting of Patrik Laine @PatrikLaine, Zamboni Driver @Tape-to-Tape, Valtteri Vaakanainen @Jubo, Dan Dan @MMFLEX, Ola Vikingstad @Dil, Vick Fairchild @GreenGato, Magnus Verlander @Jbeezy76, Emi Rune @Emi, Gustav Hjalmarsson @McLovin, Bob Helminen @Big Bob, Trent Gibson @Caboose30 Helsinki was ready to make noise. After a solid season Helsinki bolstered their blueline at the deadline with the acquisition of James Rose @MattyIce. Another move which would seal their fate and land them in the Continental Cup Finals. Unfortunately Seattle proved to be too much to overcome dismantling Helsinki in 5 games despite close scoring matches throughout. Season 77 showed that Helsinki is a tight group willing to go to war for each other and the future is oh so bright. @Jubo is probably one of the greatest GM's I've played for in the VHL. He is thoughtful in his process and swift in his decision making. The fact he didn't win a Continental Cup during his tenure is due to sheer luck or lack thereof. So here is to you Jubo, I'll miss ya. Thanks for taking a chance on my player and giving me one of my most memorable seasons in the VHL.
  10. Don't speak ill of our lord and saviour @Jubo
