  1. EPISODE 2 - VHLM SEASON REVIEW We are already halfway through the season and we have seen a ton of highlights along the way, some teams have earned enough rating points to catch up in the standings while other teams have plummeted and need to change things up if they want to get a better seed in the playoffs. Chemistry has been built and players are getting comfortable with the league and we see some new and old leaders. Here's how everything looks right now. STANDINGS Last time we had 3 tiers of teams formed early in the season, this time we have 4. The best teams in the 1st tier still consist of Philadelphia, Ottawa, Minnesota and Halifax but an improved and Houston joins them after going 7-2-1 in their last 10 games and are now tied with the 21st. In the 2nd tier Yukon sits alone and continue their consistent play but lack an extra goal scorer to reach the top tier. A freezing cold Saskatoon falls into the third tier and get passed by San Diego who have been outstanding of late, separating themselves and beating their counterparts multiple times since the last episode and won enough games to create the 4th and final tier of Mississauga, Mexico City and Las Vegas but this time all 3 teams are tied for dead last. LEAGUE LEADERS This week we saw Ottawa's Zeno Miniti continue his hot streak and stays on top, blasting off to a different planet and takes a 13 point lead in points, falling short of the goal lead by 1 this time around but got enough helpers to tie for 1st instead. Our new goal leader is Dalton Wilcox of the Houston Bulls, scoring 29 goals on 14% shooting in 37 games. The best assisting are both new players, Philadelphia's Brandon LeBlanc who jumps ahead of the Storms needle threaders and winners of last weeks episode and an already mentioned Miniti with 44, both sit 5 above everybody else. DEFENSIVE MACHINES We see a trio of new players join the defensive machine ranks with Halfiax's Pierre Persson who has continued to play well and they are, Ottawa's Anthony Hawk, Minnesota's Danny DeYeeto and Fylo Gibbles of Saskatoon. Hawk and DeYeeto have more hits than Persson and have less penalty minutes doing so, Hawk leads the league in hits with 151, 16 above the next best hitter. We see DeYeeto reach the 50 SB mark and he was one of the best shot blockers next to 1st place Gibbles who has a total of 68 w/ 89 hits. GOALTENDERS Not many goaltenders performed that well and we saw a lot movement with statistics.. giving us a completely different look. instead of one goaltender dominating the league we saw Halfiax's' Thorvald Gunnarsson and Yukon's A Red Guy slide into the top spot tied for the best goaltender after matching their performances from last week, being consistent enough for their teams to be in it every game they played and weather the storm the other goalies went through. Gunnarsson is the only goalie above .900 SV% and Red Guy is the only goaltender below 2.00 GAA. VHLM BEST PLAYER(S) OF THE EPISODE This time around Zeno Miniti is the best player of the episode and he stunned the crowd with highlight performances which gave his team enough momentum to win games to keep them in the top tier and there's a good chance we'll see his name again next episode after separating himself from the rest of the league in points. Miniti is one of the best shooting and passing players in the league thus far and his all-around game helps his teammates, finishing and creating plays. 3. If you could have one player come to the Marlins right now, from any team, who would it be and why? "Easy I'd get management to trade for Palazzo, probably wont ever happen because he is very valuable but if the team could pull it off I know we'd be a top team as soon as he gets in town." Should the Gm's be switching up the lines or do you like what there doing? "To be honest if I was our coach I'd be switching the lines every time I had a chance, sometimes that doesn't equal to good results but I like seeing different combinations, wingers on defense and anything interesting to get the edge of the other team." Say you won 30 TPE where would it go into your player? "I'd put it mostly into defense, skating and puck handling. My offense attributes are good enough for now." Is there anything the team as an organization could be doing differently to either improve your experience or promote your activity? "Nope, they've been great to us and help is a few minutes away if needed, the whole team comes together and that's one of the reasons we've been successful this past week." How well do you think your individual performance is going? Do you feel like it's contributing enough to the team? "Right now I've been getting into the right positions and getting tons of opportunities thanks to my teammates, been really fun playing with Griffin. If I can continue playing like this the rest of the season I will.. our team is on the rise." What is your favorite pre-game food? "Caesar salad, spaghetti or cereal would be my choices, a lot of times I don't end up eating though because I run out of time with all the routines and reps I get in."

  12. EPISODE 1 - VHLM SEASON REVIEW Everybody's gears are shifting and skates are getting used to the fresh ice every night, it hasn't been long since the first simulation and teams are starting to show what they are made of, today we are going to give you a quik rundown of everything that's went down. STANDINGS We are quarter the way through the VHLM season and so far we see 3 different tiers of teams developing, the Storm, Lynx, 21st and the blazing hot (7-game win streak) Reapers all sit atop of the standings, while the Bulls, Rush and Wild are steadily moving along sitting in the middle and the final pack of teams are the Aces, Kings, Marlins and in last place the Hounds. LEAGUE LEADERS In the player stats category we see two centers running the roost, Philadelphia's Pearson & Ottawa's Miniti and they also both lead the league in goals. The best passers we've seen are Minnesota's Palazzo & Chan but you could easily add in DeYeeto, Foreskin and Sundqvist who also collected 17+ assists for their club, all 5 members sit in the top 15 and total 107 assists between the three of them in only 20 games. DEFENSIVE MACHINES Defensively the only player to shine among the rest has been Halifax's Persson who leads the league in shots blocked and is 3rd among hitters. A few honorable mentions would be.. Minnesota's DeYeeto and Ottawa's Amberback, they had similar defensive outcomes but lacked the bruises and cuts Persson accumulated through games 1-19. GOALTENDERS Finally, the best goaltender has been Cole and he beats the rest of his competition easily leading in save percentage and goal against average, only player to have above .910 SV% and under 2.00 GAA. Gunnarsson is the next best stopper and only other goaltender over .900 and his 2.11 is right behind Cole too. VHLM BEST PLAYER(S) OF THE EPISODE The passing phenoms known as the Storm is probably the best story. They definitely have shown the best chemistry and are a serious threat every time they hit the offensive zone.

This is only worth 2 TPE..
  14. If you were to go on a short vacation where would you go? I'd go home and visit the family, the weather in San Diego and Canada are very different and going on vacation to a place where I feel very comfortable would be my choice, maybe down the road if I get a big pay check I'll take vacations to fancier and more exotic places. How do you feel the VHL has done welcoming you into the league? Everybody I've met so far has been nice and cant say I've had any issues, not overwhelmed with exposure but I'm happy with the contributions and mentions thus far. Lets just say I'm still thrilled whenever TPE is brought up. What do you think of the lines so far? Any changes you want? Not a whole lot to say about the lines, we don't have that many combinations to put together.. just happy we can get as much ice time as we can before a new crop of talents comes to town. Guess the only thing I could say would be that our coach has been working hard to try and get us a string of wins despite only have a minimal amount of players. Have you been involved with any little fights with your teammates? That Frobe kid got on my nerves one practice and I threw a handful of snow in his face, he didn't like it. He got me back in the parking lot and we laughed it off, the tensions were high but it lead to a great practice that night. Do you think we are going to pull the trigger and trade anyone? I have a feeling something is going to happen before the season ends, I know the managers say they want us around for the long run but I know if they got the right offer somebody will be dealt. This is a new team and usually newer teams make the most movements.. I'm just betting with the odds. What are your thoughts about Minnesota being 17-1-0? Whoever is part of their management team should be proud about winning that majority of games thus far, this is the season though and still tons of time for other teams to develop, yeah they are probably going deep in the post season but I wouldn't mark them as a sure winner right now.
