1. Where are you and what are you doing?
Right now, I'm just relaxing at my home in Ladner, BC, just taking in the fact that I've just come to terms with the Mexico City Kings to play for them.
2. What is your greatest fear?
Honestly, it's probably disappointing people. Especially as a player, I really don't want to disappoint the management, the coaches, my teammates, and the fans. That's why I always strive to give 100% every game.
3. Tell us a secret about yourself?
One time, I checked a guy so hard that he ended up becoming paralyzed from the waist down. Law enforcement called it a freak accident, and it really was. I didn't mean to harm him that badly, man.
4. How would you like to be remembered?
I want to be remembered as the heart and soul of a locker room that won themselves a championship. I know I'm not going to be the guy putting up the points, and I'm not necessarily a shutdown defender either. But as long as everyone remembers me as the guy that pumped up his teammates and gave them that push to win it all, well, I don't see how it could get any better.
5. What is your worst trait?
I can definitely be a bit headstrong at times. I'm a bit stubborn, I get it off of my father's side of the family, but I'm trying my best to improve on that.
6. What's the best meal you ever had?
Now that's my type of question. You know, I'm from a small town, and there really aren't many big restaurants. I don't think I've ever been to a high-end restaurant all my life. I'd say the best meal for me has always been this little diner across the street from where I live that serves the best burgers and fries ever. Beats out anything you can get at Micky D's, that's for sure.
7. If you could fly anywhere in the world right now where would you go?
Honestly, as crazy as this sounds, Mexico City. I wanna be out there on the ice, proving my worth, right now, so if you gave me a ticket to Mexico City, you bet I'll be on that plane.
