  1. 1. Went great! I think the new guys will fit very well with the team. 2. I disagree with their decisions... but I have no choice but to hope they'll be better next time. 3. It's awesome, he's so huge for our team and what we do. 4. I trust management. If they thought it was right, then it was right. 5. Just be a solid depth piece for the team. Nothing flashy, just here to help as little or much as I can. 6. We'll be great, I'm pretty confident in our group and think we can do great things.
  2. 1. Overcoming that terrible start. Winning a playoff series was wonderful, but I think us getting their in the first place is a major accomplishment, and a testament to our work ethic and growth. 2. It was just so relieving honestly. Like the excitement came later - but the relief in knowing that our work wasn't going to just be forgotten was huge. 3. I don't know much about the stats, and don't care much for them. I was on a team that won a decent amount of games and a series - success for me. 4. Getting my body into better shape, working on my game, and trying my best to work through this never ending pandemic. 5. Whatever management feels is right! They definitely know much more about drafting than me, I'll let them do their job and I'll do mine. 6. 8/10. We made some progress and also established ourselves, but we didn't finish off the ultimate goal. Championship is still on the list.
  3. The Toronto Legion are set to face the Vancouver Wolves in a game 7 later this week - a game that will send one team to the finals, and the other home. The stakes are high, but before the season ends for either team we were able to catch up with Legion rookie Anigbogu and discuss what he's learned this season observing the pros preform at the highest level. "It really is incredible, and I think a lot of that is because of how fresh this all is to me. I didn't expect to ever get drafted, let alone called up to the professional league. To know I'm now one game away from the finals, it just makes me so grateful for the opportunity I've been given. It's also helped me learn a ton about how the best operate. These guys, the starters, the vets - they put in so much work. When we were 2-9 they still cared themselves with confidence. Now, flip the script and we're a top team in the playoffs, yet they still only talk about what's left to finish. Basically, it's no time for feeling sorry up here, but it's also no time for settling on anything but a ring too."
  4. 1. I haven't seen any misses from management in my short tenure here, so I'll continue to trust them with drafting. 2. A bit late, so yeah we have advanced and I believe are playing the Wolves. I think we'll take care of business here too. 3. Extremely so! I really know near nothing about hockey or this league, yet you've made it easy for me to stick around and at least partially contribute. 4. He's just so dependable and reliable, it's great having him on the team. I feel good having him as our main offensive weapon, simply because he hasn't let us down yet. 5. It's awesome, it's why we worked all season. Being here is a fulfillment of those hours, and now we still have some work to take care of. 6. Of course. Maybe even as a higher seed.
  5. 1. Just keep doing what we've been doing during the past weeks. We've climbed by playing this way, we'll stay here if we continue to do so. 2. Nope. Any opponent, we'll be ready. 3. Jaxx Hextall. Yet again having a great season. 4. Whatever it takes to get us wins! 5. I think we're at a higher level than ever as a group. Fatigue plays a part sure, but our team chemistry gains outdo that. 6. Man I'll just keep it simple. Some nice fried chicken, some mac, and greens.
  6. 1. I just took the time to relax a little from the stress of the hockey season. It was a really fun time just seeing the city come together and celebrate. As for food, just went very traditional. 2. It's awesome. Just a sign of this team's resilience. We're only getting better, and hopefully we can lock up that playoff spot and do great things once we're there. 3. Jaxx was always going to turn it around, a small rough patch in an otherwise fantastic career is nothing more than a tiny blemish to his resume. We believed in him, and he believed in himself and now our team is rolling. 4. Ritchie is a great player, so it's of course a big loss to the team. However, outside of that I just wish him good luck on his life outside sports. He's a great guy in the locker room and one of the few familiar faces on the team, so it was nice having him around for the season. 5. It's awesome. Toronto's been super accommodating to me this whole time, even when I haven't been a consistent player or prospect. I hope to reward their loyalty to me one day by working to become a higher level player, but for now I just hope the depth I provide can get this team some wins come playoff time. 6. I like the group of guys we've got. I don't think we needed any moves, and I'm happy the front office believed in us as much as we do ourselves.
  7. 1. I think it was a great move. Oh Sens is extremely talented and will help us a ton. 2. He should. I don't know that he will, but if the voters get it right then he should be bringing it home. 3. Jaxx Hextall will be fine, I'm not too worried about a short slide. He's been such a phenomenal player for a full career, he's earned a few down games. 4. I think so. The team has been really good since that brutal start. We're only getting better. 5. I imagine the schedule will start picking up soon. But I'm confident we'll get through that. 6. Obviously he's the best rookie, but I think he won't be able to catch up. It's fine though, everyone who watches the games knows Merrick is the best rookie. He's just with a team situation that's chasing a championship and not an award.
  8. After a lengthy career down in the VHLM, Ziarie Anigbogu has finally moved into the next phase of his career. Despite being a largely unknown, 4th round prospect, Anigbogu has managed to play in all 29 games for the Toronto Legion. Toronto is far from being one of the league's premier teams at 12-14-3, but Anigbogu's poor play still sticks out in a bad way while watching the team. The rookie has yet to score in his 29 games. Of course that isn't his primary role as a defense man, but it is still a concerning stat considering the rest of the team's lineup has at least chipped in a couple of goals. He of course still has so much time to improve and change his reputation, but for now it is apparent that he is struggling with the new speed and physicality he faces in the pros. 29 games isn't enough to judge a player for his career, but there are clear signs right now that show Anigbogu isn't ready for the professional spotlight.
  9. 1. For sure, the new additions are starting to gel and the team is looking fantastic. 2. He's a beast. That's an insane number for a single game, and he pretty much carried us that game. 3. For sure, he looks like the best in my eyes at least. 4. Yup. Slow start had people forgetting what we can do. 5. Why not? Still early and the team is clicking. I'd say yes. 6. It's not bad. Gave us some more time in between games to regroup, and helped us turn this around before it got out of hand.
  10. Ziarie Anigbogu, now a rookie for the Toronto Legion, caught up with some reporters last week to discuss his championship run in the VHLM with the Minnesota Storm. He gave this quote: "It was a dream come true. I know their has been talks in the past about my overall lack of commitment to hockey, but I have always been committed to winning. I'll be honest, when I first got traded to Minnesota I was a bit upset. I liked what we had in Philly, just like I liked what we had in our previous spots. But when I actually arrived, I knew all my worries were unfounded. The coaching is great. The team culture is unmatched. The teammates I had were some guys I will always be able to count on. Capping off a great season with a championship obviously is as good as it gets. I'm in the big leagues now, and I know it's only going to get harder. But I'm definitely planing to relish the moment while I can."
  11. 1. For sure, I think our management will grab a steal. 2. Honestly I have no clue, there's so many talented players in this class. 3. Nope, I haven't really met many of this group. 4. I think we're great at working together and just maximizing everybody's talent. 5. Just closing out games we know we can win. Have to be consistent if we want to be champions. 6. Nope, it's all a process to become the best, and those are just learning opportunities on the road to that.
  12. 1. I love all of them equally. Just a chance to show what I've got. 2. I'm just not good enough yet. I don't like that. 3. Just inconsistency, lack of focus. 4. Why is this even phrased as a question? Jaxx Hextall is the only hockey player I respect. 5. REFS. 6. Vancouver, they can't hockey like we can.
  13. Anigbogu, a defenseman for the Minnesota Storm will admit one thing -he's never been particularly invested into his hockey career. He apparently has just enough talent and work ethic to survive in the league, but it's certainly nothing special enough to excel. He knows at some point recently he ended up on the Storm, and while he's never really talked with any of his GM's or teammates, he has loved his time there so far. Minnesota has been a solid place for him as a living space, but most importantly the Storm are a great team. Even if Anigbogu lacks an overall passion for hockey, winning is always fun, and at 16-4 the Storm do a lot of winning. It's good enough for 3rd in the league, and they're not far behind the top 2. The Storm definitely do have the makings of a championship level team, they just have to fulfill that potential. Anigbogu appears to be done with his VHLM improvement because of certain rules and restrictions, but he is a solid player in his current state and thinks he can help the team in some ways.
  14. Ziarie Anigbogu has spent the past few seasons bouncing around the VHLM. After originally signing with the Las Vegas Aces, he's had quite the journeyman career for a developmental league settings. Of course, the system is created with the intention of sending players off to the next level at some point, and for Anigbogu, that moment is right around the corner. Following the completion of this season, Anigbogu will finally make the step into the next level, and officially join his future VHL team on their own quest for a championship. Before then of course is the final season in the VHLM, where Anigbogu will compete alongside a stacked roster for the VHLM cup. This season to Anigbogu, is more than just about being successful in the lower league. It also means preparing himself both physically and mentally for the more difficult games he'll have to expect at the next level. He's certainly got the talent to be a dominant VHLM player, but many before have already accomplished that. His real vision includes himself having that same success in the world's top hockey league, which is of course the VHL. As of now, the team he is slated to join is the Toronto Legion, and he's loved his experiences and encounters with the team so far.
  15. 1. Yes, very. Love doing that hockey. 2. The team will be great. 3. Jaxx Hextall. I don't care if he's a goalie. 4. Doesn't matter, we don't need them. 5. He's a monster, will be game changing. He better get the award. 6. Just being a good contributor to the team.
  16. 1. He's great. I think he's the closest thing to a Jaxx Hextall level player we've seen in ages. 2. Not much, we've still got a great team. 3. Not too much honestly, didn't even watch it. 4. He seems good, so I'm sure it'll help the team. 5. None of them surprised me unfortunately, as I did not watch. 6. I fall in the "didn't pay attention" side.
  17. 1. Yep. Shows that as good as the team was, we are still going to take a step forward. 2. It's been nice. Spending some time relaxing after the long season. 3. Just training everyday, making sure I'm ready. Getting my body into better shape than ever and refining my skills. 4. I'm going to say us, only because after observing them so closely this past season I think our guys are as good as anyones. Losing some hurts. 5. Don't drink soda, but if I had to choose I'd take a pepsi. 6. Taco.
  18. 1. It was obviously very sad. We earned those leads, but at the same time we gave them up with poor play. I think we were a better team, but we did not maintain that the whole game. 2. Definitely Jaxx Hextall 3. I think management is doing a good job and should just keep doing it, anything I'd think of is probably bad advice 4. I think that's the moment where we really started to believe 5. Just showing we weren't going down easily 6. I didn't have any, I just do that hockey
