1. With the way we are rolling I think 18 points is a safe bet. 9 wins out of 12 games, can do it for sure. 2. Definitely Seattle. I assume we will see them in the conference finals and with their track record and us being neck and neck all season, that will be the true finals. 3. Yeah all of those definitely have a chance. Lahtinen is a shoe in for most improved. The rest comes down to if those players can maintain pace, will come down to the end of the season. 4. Looking at our roster and the 8 players we will be keeping, definitely think that we will again contend for a cup. 5. No idea, haven't even looked at the draft class. Guys like Rory, dlamb and dart seem like good guys. 6. Yeah think it would be cool to have a refresh on an old franchise. Not a fan of stuff that's been proposed but think it could be a nice change up.

Probably a little bit. When I first signed up I'd have all my point tasks earned in the first couple hours of it being a new week. Now I'm coming home in the morning after a 12.5 hour night shift of loading salt on to a ship and thinking fuck myself I haven't done a VHL.com for my last 2 capped points of the week. So here I am rambling on but fuck all nothing to get those points when I haven't slept in 17 hours. (Fuck night shift) Anyways, I'm wondering to myself how long will it actually be before I forget to do one if I'm getting this close to the deadline when I'm only in my rookie season. Maybe I'm not cut out for being a max earner for an entire career, and if that's the case, who knows if I'll be able to maintain this for more than one player? All of that and my team is top in the league, my player is doing decent but not great for a rookie on a stacked team. What happens if I'm on a shit ass team, will I lose interest even more? Probably. Anyways, only time will tell and I hope to maintain being a max earner but starting to get a little worried. Also I need my 6 days off to come because I'm done.

1. We have finished our backup games, made a big trade and will continue to improve as we go on. Just need to stay on track, not worried about it. 2. Expected us to be good but not best in the league so yes. 3. Probably split them (it already happened) 4. Happy for Smitty to join the team, hoping to learn a lot from the legend. 5. Meh. 6. None they're all pretty shite. 7. JETS

A big trade was announced that saw Smitty Longname come to Calgary in exchange for Stropko to try and push the Wranglers over the top for a cup. When all of that is really exciting, Latrell Mitchell is excited to get the chance to share a locker room and play alongside the legend that Smitty is. "He's probably the best defensemen of our time, I grew up watching him and now I get to play on the same team, it's unreal. I can only hope to do a fraction of what he has done in his career," says Mitchell. If he can take pointers and learn from the old timer who is going to retire at the end of the season, I could set Latrell up for a great career. Right now the focus is obviously to push for that cup but at the end of the day anything that can help Mitchell be a better defenesman at the end of the day is a good thing. Cheers to Smitty, let's get that cup.

1. Being first in the league can be a big difference between going far in the playoffs and not, especially with Seattle being in our conference. Also fuck them so we need to be better. 2. Awesome to lock them up, hopefully we can sign Lahtinen as well and be a contender for many years. 4. It was only a matter of time I'm sure. He should have been putting up numbers like this for awhile but glad it's all come together now. 5. We are beasts that's all there is to it. 6. I have no idea been in the league short, but would show how deep we are of a team. 7. French toast if it's done right, otherwise waffles. Would eat all 3 but

Last season Team World were major underdogs with a less than ideal situation for defense. This season on the other hand we are a very well rounded team that is sure to be a force in the WJC. Everyone else in the league is talking oh you're not even a real country/continent, you're just the leftovers blah blah blah. I say fuck off mate we are clearly the best team out there with returning GM Zetterberg bound to take us to the next level. With a new logo, sexy new jerseys and a team that will blow your mind, Team World is bound to surprise the entire competition. Players like Aleelee Kiak, Gary Neal, Jay Jones and Defenz Mann are just the tip of the ice berg of that deep dish roster World has. The tournament starts tomorrow and all I can say is if you're making predictions, better pencil World in at the top.

1. Once I get some good ice time the Wranglers will only do better. 2. I think with the season we're having it only makes sense for them to re-sign to continue to have the success we are having both as a team and individually. 3. Calgary is currently a competitive team that also has youth that can continue to stay at the top year in year out. 5. Hulk Hogan ?? 6. Playoff pubes 7. Mate I don't even like to work in real life why would I want a job here?

S72 is well underway in the VHL and the Calgary Wranglers are showing that they are a top contender this year. They currently sit 2nd in the league, just 1 point behind Toronto, with a 10-5-1 record. This comes from sitting 2nd in the league in both goals for and goals against which leads to the best goal differential thus far. Strong performances from Mikko Lahtinen who is having a breakout season, Charlie Paddywagon, Kris Rice and RJ Jubis lead the skaters and the real star is Jacques Lafontaine in net who has started every game and is making a bid for top goaltender in the league. There are no signs of this team slowing down anytime soon. Latrell Mitchell had an exciting start to his season, getting an assist on the first Calgary goal of S72 but since then has not been able to find the score sheet until this last game where his teammates passed off to him to bury an empty netter and get the monkey off his back. He hasn't done too much statistically with just the 1 goal and 1 assist, 21 hits and 16 shots blocked. While he has found the box more often than he'd like, with 24 PIMs, he hasn't particularly been a liability out there either with a +10 rating thus far. So I'm sure fans and the team can be happy with his defensive performance out there, Mitchell would like to start finding the score sheet more. Maybe that can come now that he's got that first goal out of his system, but will definitely come with time as he gets comfortable out there.

1. Can't be upset with those results, hoping we can continue our winning ways. 2. Think that Lafontaine is the key to our success, his numbers are unbelievable and he keeps us in it every game. 3. They added lots of youth this off-season as well as some veterans so they were a big question mark, seems that what they did has worked so far. 4. Paddywagon is a pretty good name. 5. They're shit house and have no chance of beating us this season. 6. Well you need food so 28 frozen pizzas for 2 a day should cost around $100, then the rest on alcohol.
