11 is Huge , one loss by 1 goal to Malmo is nothing, 1 small different bounce and it would be a 13 game streak , and continuing to by into the system and work together like we have been and play like were still keeping a streak alive , it also gives us a new goal to try and surpass as well, not one player in the LR doubts it either that we have the ability to fly high and continue to get the wins. The vets on this team made it clear to us all on day one what is and is not acceptable with this team on and off the ice regarding discipline and always being a classy team. The vets and sophomores even really helped all the rookies making the transition from the Megalodon in an inland lake to a tadpole in the Ocean. This means you’ve got to find your niche and really see where you excel the most and in which way you can make the biggest contribution to the team, In doing so that means “Learning your Role”. For player like my very good friend Not only did the Roster players help us with this most important part of the transition as well did (the undoubtedly #1 Candidate for GMOTY) @Jubo07 made sure we know our place and that’s to “Learn your role” like Draven @Jbeezy76 and Hafkey @McLovin, @SpazJared Spaz along with @Erik Summers are all such great leaders off and on the Ice, These men are always making a point when defending a teammate laying it all on the line knowing everyone in blue has your back more than Tony The Tiger likes Frosted Flakes. , We are getting better every day I see it in everyone’s play in practice, the chemistry in the drills and the intensity increases each day and it’s such a great feeling the atmosphere here in Helsinki. Legendary fashion designer Jacobim Mugatu recently quoted the Helsinki Titans “So Hot Right Now. Holding onto the top spot isn’t going to be easy and i know i have to put in every ounce of effort i have in my body each day to fine tuning my skills to be the most help possible to this teams ultimate goal and mine which is to win games , i will sacrifice my body and soul for any one of you you all my Titans brothers :fire With the WJC coming up I know there are a few of us that will be participating, Myself I have been fortunate enough to play in every WJC tournament I’ve been eligible for. In S71 My Grandfather was the GM of Team Asia and I was lucky enough to play for him on Team Asia after being the last cut from team Europe. Team Asia went on to Win the round robin with the tournaments best record and bring home some of Team Asia’s first pieces of hardware in a Silver Medal losing to the Superteam Europe. In S72 I was voted by my teammates as Co-Captain of team Europe alongside my childhood idol and now teammate and great friend Valterri Vaakkainen where we cruised to a smooth tournament with an amazing group of players earning Team Europe their 2nd Gold as many years and completing the Re-peat. Somehow, I missed the applications for this year’s WJC that seems to have come so quickly. If I am eligible and selected to team Europe again this tournament Is going to be no different. I have one goal in this tournament, and one goal only, that’s bringing home gold , not one single individual award entices me more than that gold medal and being part of history in a 3-peat for Team Europe. After being heavily relied upon tournament and playing a major leadership role along with the extra experience from playing in so many elimination games over the last two season has given me invaluable experience that has allowed me to grow into the clutch player I am today and when it’s the dying minutes I want nothing more than to be on the ice, winning for my country is everything to me

I could have never imagined my career playing out as amazingly and wouldn’t change anything, the people that helped me get here today have given me the opportunity to live out my childhood dreams. As a young boy growing up in Finland you always dream of playing for the Helsinki Titans and the stars aligned on draft day on what seems like yesterday back in S72 after a very surprising draft experience for myself personally. The man that recruited me to the VHL , helped me get started with everything and capping out each week and the most supplemental tasks possible making sure my player is the best he can be, This man also expressed to me his disappointment he would not have the picks to draft me because Helsinki would be picking when I would be long gone off the board. However, that was not the case and I was up on stage putting on the Titans Jersey with my Mentor both of us smiling ear to ear knowing the incredible future to come. After a strong sophomore season as the Captain of the Philadelphia Reapers and a long playoff run ending in a Game 7OTL. SSK would go on to win the Founders Cup in the finals after a series for the ages between The Historic S72 Reaper team including VHL Rookie stars Adam Syreck @Spade18, Defenzz Mann @Mike, @Big Bob BobHelminen and Spencer Elsby @Spence King and the eventual S72 VHLM Playoff Champion Saskatoon Wild @a_Ferk timothyBrown, @twists LucasBrandt, @AdvantageTylerWalker and the star @Sharkstrong Grekkark Gyrfalcon. That series could have and truly should have been the finals. It was some AMAZING hockey. Now here I am 37 GP into my VHL Rookie Season with the Titans registering 4 goals and 18 assists for 22 PTS and a whopping 99 team leading Blocked Shots. Summers, Bolonee , Daldo , Anderson all of the Dmen here have tought me something even if they don’t know it. I am so proud and happy with the amazing veteran experience here and the opportunity to learn and play with such legendary players. The league can’t help but take notice Elsby’s Powerplay Domination with 4 PPG and already registering his first VHL career 2 Goal game as well as most of his points coming on the special teams and a GWG to add. Elsby’s ability to QB the PP has been nothing but evident and some analysts have stated potential the best PP player in the league and without a doubt going to be a legendary PP QB. “This has always been where I excel the most , my IQ allows me to see everything unfolding before it happens and seeing passing lanes and creating shooting lanes that no one else sees , my deception takes teams off guard using my eyes and body positioning to make plays and create scoring opportunities that no one else sees are there, but its just natural to me”-Spencer Elsby during an Interview after his most recent game playing the LA Stars. Lastly and most definitely not the least important , this 11 game win streak is truly surreal to be apart of , the teamwork we have right now is like none ive ever felt and the chemistry and roster @Jubo07has put together is nothing short of legendary.

Wow , to be honest its still surreal , it hasn’t really hit me yet that I have MADE it , I am about to play my first game in the VHL after being drafted by my Hometown team in Helsinki. I grew up my whole life idolizing these Titan players (one of whom being my new teammate and childhood idol and breakout VHL player Valtteri Vaakainen) and watching their practices and NEVER missed a game. Growing up in Helsinki playing for the Junior Titans Jr-A Liiga since the age of 12 for the U16 Program and paving my way to the U20 team by the age of 15, allowed me to be surrounded by some of the best payers in the world at such a young age, this invaluable time has given me such a better understanding of the game and I truly believe my hockey IQ is one of the best on the planet, and I have no issue saying that as my play speaks for itself. The reality of lacing up tonight to play against the best players on the planet has yet to hit me and hearing my name called by the Titans on draft day is a moment that is impossible for myself and my family to ever forget. This truly is and has been what I have been working for my whole life. The feelings are indescribable having made it this far in my journey, dedicating hours to practicing on my own and off ice training as well as soaking up all the knowledge possible with guidance from my GMs developing myself into a complete 2-way defenceman. Wearing my reapers Jersey for the last time had genuine tears on it. Leaving the Reapers Organization and Philadelphia/VHLM has not been easy, I cant thank @DMaximus enough for believing in me and drafting me as a first gen nobody and putting so much individual attention and always dedicating his time to be there for me made my VHLM experience unforgettable and I’m honestly sad to be leaving the league. After a record season for the Reapers coming to a early ending in OT of Game 7 in the playoffs Semi Finals losing to the SSK team that continued and were named Founders Cup Champions. This shows easily right there that one different bounce and the S72 Reapers would have been Founder Cup Champions, Hockey truly is a game of inches and seconds. Its finally hitting me, having made it this far in my journey I cant thank the Titans Organization enough for everything they have done for me since the moment I my name was called and Jubo officially welcomed me to the team with a firm handshake and the moment I put that jersey on and MY Titans draft day hat that I earned still doesn’t feel real. Literally Instantly after being drafted I had received a call from Helsinki's Front office welcoming me to the team as well as several current VHLers on the Titans welcoming me to the team. @Jubo07 had been training Vaak and in Finland this preseason where I have made tremendous improvement in my Puck handling and strength with the puck on my stick allowing me to be more dominant with the puck as well as my edge work and also spent a month training with Sami Salo working on my shutdown defensive D game and watching hockey together and picking his brain as to how he sees the play unfolding from his perspective. Overall I cant wait to show the word the improvements I am continuing to make every day and watch me develop into a star/cult player here in Helsinki with goals of having my #47 Jersey Hanging in the rafters when its time to retire.

Great Work , lots of research done and amazing coverage of the whole league , and with that being 16 teams and going that in depth with great structure was a fun read. Very Informative to any VHL member or VHL fan as well VHLMer's. Awesome work ! My Only Advice would be maybe to break it up into two articles, NA and EU allowing for more info for each team and to go more in depth into the teams players and prospect pools as well as recent moves. NOT saying you didnt do that , i love what you did that the only thing i can think that could possibly improve this ? Very Impressed with the Research put into this ! Rating 10/10

being thirteen , i remember very well because that was the year i was selected to play on a selects team to represent ontario in Finland and Sweden at the AAA level, my first time playing AAA. Later that summer i was invited to the summer tryouts for the AAA team i had no intentions or honest opinion of my ability to make the team however , after playing with the team over the summer and after tryouts i was offered a position on the team. I went from Peewee B to Minor Bantam AAA over the summer . I eventually decided that at that time hockey was not my calling and i would not be getting the ice time or development i wanted at that point in my life and i chose not play AAA hockey until later in my life when going back in Midget after using that time to finesse my skills and dominating at the level below triple AAA while spending my summers training with the AAA team and eventually moving onto Highschool hockey before hanging uo the skate and pursuing my passion in scouting. This passion was brought to me and opened my eyes by the man that made my hokey journey what it was and that was my coach when i played in europe and the knowledge and IQ he installed in me an confidence allowing me to harness my skills and abilities to become the best Hockey player and Hockey scout as well as coaching along side him . I will never forget that year and that 13th birthday ! Thank you VHL for everything and i hope my story can brighten or bring a smile to someones face in sharing these great memeories , Love the Idea and love you all here !!!
