Ever heard of playing things up for the CONTENT? I don't think I've ever actually cursed someone out on the road audibly lol. Most of the time I'm just chilling to my music.

@Rin I think most people agreed that the old waiver system felt a lot more personal and interesting to a new player. However, there were a few key factors that led to the change. 1. GM's were just copy/pasting pitches. The personal touch was basically gone outside of the GM or AGM simply being around to paste a pre-written pitch. At that rate, it didn't make much of a difference to simply make those copy/paste pitches the official pitch a new player would see when examining teams on the portal. 2. GM burnout. You mentioned it yourself, GMs basically had to be around constantly on the forums or discord to be able to make a waiver pitch. The waiver system for the most part was always first come, first served in a way where most new players just signed with the first team that offered. This was fairly unhealthy for our GMs as we recognized how much time was being spent in this area, and we just weren't comfortable with it. 3. Refocusing the GM responsibilities. Personally, I really wanted to shift more of our GMs time into working with the players on their team, instead of wasting time trying to recruit players onto the team. I think everyone can agree that M GM jobs are one of the most valuable on the site in terms of engaging and retaining our userbase. We increased their job pay to 4 understanding the amount of time and effort needed to succeed in the role, and also used the waiver system to really give them more time for their players. As a whole with other rule changes to address parity/delete the boom and bust cycle, I think the M is a much, much better community and place for new players.

If the VHL Play-off started today: North American Conference

I can guarantee that any GM who speaks to a player who says this will tell them to not expect production or awards. And to maybe even just be a liability to the team with how many penalties they rack up in relation to their zero production.

I'd probably just say that you do have a lot higher ability to "fix" your build over time than you'd expect. With my first player, I went pass first on my defenseman which obviously isn't what most people prefer. By the time I capped at 250, I knew my build wasn't what I wanted it to be for the VHL. By the time I came up to the VHL, with my banked TPE, I essentially fixed my whole build by dumping like 150 TPE into scoring. Went on to be a HOF player. So yeah, don't stress over what you've missed or what your build is, it can always be fixed especially since you're just at 200 TPE.

I went to my first K-pop concert last Thursday and I'm not ashamed to admit I enjoyed it. There's very little live music that I won't enjoy unless the performers are absolutely talentless. I even enjoyed seeing Machine Gun Kelly live around 4/5 years ago, he had good energy and was more rock-y than I expected. What I didn't expect from going to this k-pop concert though is that my favorite song coming out of it would be a song released by an individual member of the group. So for all of you who actually listen to the songs of the week I post and curse me every time it's metal, here's something new. League-related, Moscow is fine. Hanging out around the top of the league standings as usual, this time it's definitely a bit more separated than usual. I honestly can't tell which conference is truly weaker, the NA or the EU. NA seems like they're just all bad, hence the tighter standings compared to the EU. It's nuts to me that rebuilders like New York, DC, Toronto, Chicago are all in strong playoff contention - some even for top 3 spots. In the EU as always, everyone *wants* to compete despite maybe not being ready yet (cough Malmo cough). I think it's a bit more clear who's competing and who isn't though, though I wonder if Riga, Prague, London will be able to pull off an upset in the playoffs. Davos and Moscow are simply juggernauts right now (and we just beat Davos handily post-TDL). I'd be very surprised if either Moscow or Davos don't win the cup this season. If neither team makes the finals, it's just another NA cup again. Player-wise, Nico isn't dead quite yet. Overall I think his career has been a wash outside making finals as a rookie and then winning some awards in his 3rd or 4th season with HSK before they imploded. It really was a shame, I was enjoying playing there and it really does throw off a career when suddenly things just don't work with a team. HSK is still treading water, maybe going back into another rebuild now after buying last season or two seasons ago. But yeah I'll just play out the season and see how high I can set the new record. I think it'll be fairly easily beaten by anyone following Nico in terms of draft season, but I do worry if this starts a trend of recreates not retiring at the deadline to chase a record. I was reaaaally hoping CIA wouldn't do it with Booberry, but who am I kidding if I said that I wouldn't have done it anyways. We'll see how high of a bar Nico will set before he joins Kastelic in the Hall of "what the fuck did you get with all that TPE?"

Can we fight over why you can select multiple options despite them all being fairly contradictory to each other?
-
Ngl there was probably more effort put in for this than half the league's graphics.
-
600 is the minimum (one week of 8 TPE), 1100 gets you 2 weeks of pay (8 one week, 8 in the next0

Yeah they're fine! 1. How've you been in the past couple years? 2. What've you been up to? Anything new and interesting? 3. Have you had time to look around the VHL since your return? What stands out to you as being very different from when you left before? 4. What's your goals for this stint in the league, and/or for your player? 5. Will you give me baseball bets again with 100% certainty that they'll win? 6. Pls save the merch store?

Pretty sure it's completely nuked unfortunately. I think old topics you created are just shown as "Guest Sonnet" under a profile you can't click on. But always nice to start fresh, glad to have you back!
