Just to make sure it's clear, the BoG doesn't determine nominees in any capacity beyond our one vote as a member of the community. All you need to be brought to the BoG discussion table is two nominations from the public nomination process. So if you're not being named as a nominee, there weren't two people out there who 1. knew the nominations were open or 2. chose to nominate you. However I will agree that lately, the bar seems to have dropped a bit and there may be tweaks to the Elmebeck in the coming seasons. I don't think it'll go into the BoG's hands to nominate and vote on since people already think we're just voting our friends. Maybe we just won't hand out the award if there's no good reason. Will have to see what happens. Best compliment I could get

Few thoughts here: 1. I'm honestly unsure if TDL recreates are a significant advantage to competitive teams. This does go in two directions. First, a team adding a lot of TDL+ players is going to be playing their capped/high TPE stars a lot less since they can't be double shifted. I've seen this tank teams before, including teams I've managed in the M. So that's something to consider - that if we remove recreate flexibility at the deadline, we could just be letting juggernaut M teams remain full of high TPE players. 2. Does it really matter where recreates go for a week or two? If a TDL create joined a team outside playoff contention, their season would be over tomorrow or so. If they want minimum exposure to the M or just want max minutes for like 12-14 games, sure the last place teams can get a boost. But I don't think anyone gains value by forcing players to teams they don't want to play for with so little of the season remaining. If there's a place to impose restrictions, it's maybe before season start? With the amount of recreates you can carry? But it'd be very difficult to implement and would become a larger headache when you consider draft pick restrictions. But if there's simple ideas, we can chat about them.

Berocka has experience as a former M GM and has been on our radar for a few seasons now, but waited for the right time to make a return to the VHLM. Hello, it's me again. Fair bit has changed for Moscow since the last VHL.com. We've traded away Hammar Voss over to Helsinki in exchange for a 2nd and 1st round pick swap, we'll be receiving whichever 2 firsts are higher out of Moscow, Malmo and Helsinki's. The reasoning here was pretty much that Moscow was in a playoff spot while Helsinki wasn't, and both teams essentially wanted to switch spots. There was a risk that Helsinki and London would have been the EU lotto teams alongside Warsaw, so I wanted to guarantee that some of our picks were lottery instead. And we got to send Voss over to a playoff hopeful vs our rebuilding squad. The other trade is much more fresh, and was made today to send Babay Shrimp over to Seattle. Shrimp joined us last FA, and was likely heading back into FA again since we were just a stop to get some top minutes and have a chill season. Getting a future 1st and a high 2nd this draft will be very helpful for us. From a player perspective, Syko is hanging in there as the "top" goalie in the M so far. He still remains the league leader in every goalie statistic, such as SV%, GAA, Wins and Shutouts. If he maintains this pace, he's a certain lock for awards which would be nice to start my career with. San Diego as a whole is also surging, playing exceptionally well and seems to be one of the championship favorites. The work has been put in and there's a lot of hope in the organization. Looking forward to seeing how it plays out! On the M Commish/BoG side, there's a few different things that cross my mind in terms of potential ideas and changes to make in the future. There's older issues like rulebook splits for eras still wallowing around, while new thoughts circle around backup goalie utilization in the M and further ways to engage and develop new players beyond just welfare and practice facility. Gus and I have been fairly consistent in making changes to benefit the M as a whole, so now that we're in a generally healthy place with GM responsibility and time requirement and player experience, making further changes is a delicate balance to not end up going full circle to where the M was when we took over - a less than healthy situation.

Right but is that a punishment coming along orrrrr.....? This isn't an infrequent situation, I think I bring it up to you once every other season at least. If there's no intent to punish, can we just remove the rule? Otherwise I don't think there's a point in having it.

Once again, bringing up this rule: Bot goalie played for an extra 8 games over a human created goalie who is over 250 TPA.

It won't be an award, simply because no one is going to 1. dig through every teams history to see which duo or trio played together the full season (which isn't even common, usually some degree of change is expected), and 2. it'll likely just be a top player dragging on two teammates to get an award and bonus TPE. Or it's some consolation prize for two teammates who both scored well that neither could take the number one spot. All in all I don't think it's feasible or logical to officially implement.
