  2. Vancouver Wolves = Tampa Bay Lightning This one is pretty easy. Two defending champions, who lost big pieces in the offseason due to retirement, free agency, and cap casualty respectively, but continue to be on top of the standings. Player Comparison, 'cause why not: Robin Galante Nilsson = Victor Hedman Helsinki Titans = New Jersey Devils Both teams are sitting at the bottom on their divisions, but have a very bright future. Once both teams have their top draft picks reach their potential, there is a reason to believe they can be annual contenders. Alex Johnston = Jesper Bratt Toronto Legion = Anaheim Ducks Teams that have been rebuilding for a number of seasons, that were definitely said by many to be near the bottom of the standings this season. Instead, both the Legion and Ducks look poised to make the post-season, earlier than expected. Matty Fire = Trevor Zegras D.C. Dragons = Arizona Coyotes Fairly new expansion teams that have lost most, if not all of their former core, and have torn it completely down, in order to get some high draft picks and become competitive down the line. Dragons GM Eno Rama also really strikes me as a John Chayka type. Ryan Vidot = Jacob Chychrun HC Davos Dynamo = Calgary Flames At first, I had Davos like the Leafs, but I couldn't do them that dirty. I think Davos is more like Calgary because you never know what you're going to get. Playoffs? Lottery? This season both teams have a solid record, and look like dark horses come playoff time. As well, they both can talk about a forgotten cup they won way back when. Kunibuni UnGuri = Jacob Markstrom (260+ Words)
  3. 1. What is your favorite music artist? The Strokes. Been my favourite band for quite a while now. Glad they're touring again! 2. What is your favorite kind of dog/hound German Shepherd/Border Collie mixes. Those things are god damned treasures. 3. Best VHLM logo? Probably going with Ottawa. Mexico and Miami are up there as well though. 4. what is your points goal for your player this year? Before the season I think I said 90 or so, but with the start I've had, 100+ is the goal. 5. What do you think of how we are doing so far? anything you want to improve upon? I'd like us to play better as a unit, as we've been struggling lately. Personally, maybe more hits would be nice. 6. If you were GM, what would your first move be? Campaign hard for a new logo. The current MIS one is the bottom of the barrel in terms of VHLUniverse logos.

  6. 32 games into Season 81, the Warsaw Predators currently hold a respectable 19-10-3 record, good for 4th in the European Conference, and 5th overall in the entire Victory Hockey League. Along with this, the Polish squad has scored the third most goals in the league, sitting just behind Vancouver and Moscow at 160 goals for. The goals have come by committee for the Predators, with every player but one currently scoring at a point-per-game pace. This has led a few players particularly to become the frontrunners for awards at season's end. LW Chris Reynolds, the team's captain, is leading both on and off the ice this season, currently in the pole position of the Kevin Brooks Trophy, awarded to the top goal scorer. He has a 2 goal lead over Jerome Reinhart , Rhynex Entertainment , and Duncan Idaho , so I expect this to come down to the wire. He is also 4 points back of Idaho for the Mike Szatkowski Trophy, awarded to the top point scorer. Mentions also have to go to C Muffbeav and LW-turned-RW Brian Moreau, who are both in the top 10 for goals and points respectively. They definitely have an outside shot to catch the leaders if Warsaw keeps scoring at the same pace. And finally, we have youngster LW Zach Kisslinger II, drafted 14th Overall in Season 80, who just today took over the rookie scoring lead (20+30=50) building a case for the Christian Stolzschweiger Trophy, awarded to the league's best rookie. I am very happy with how the team has preformed thus far, and am super excited to watch what happens the rest of the season. I'm sure there's more players you could build a case for, but that's all the words we have time for today! (300-ish Words)
  7. 1. Do you think of having played ten times in a row against Miami and farming points does help us in the long run or is it going to bite us later in the season? I think it helps the team's confidence for sure. I'd rather start off 10-0 than 0-10, no matter the opponents. 2. Do you think it is attractive for the league/players/managers to have played so many times against one franchise only? It doesn't really matter. By the end of the season, it all balances out the way it should. It is a tough look for Miami fans however. 3. What is your player doing during the Holiday season? Going back home and spending time with family in Romania while the VHLM has it's holiday break. Excited to eat some pedaheh. 4. Do you consider to participate in this years charitiy auction? Probably not in the auction, but I will definitely participate in the normal drive if it happens. 5. So far we only had to release one player, what can we do that this remains the only one? You can't really help if people go inactive or not, all you can do is support them, keep active yourself, etc etc. But good on the team and management we've only had one. 6. Are you happy with the amount of minutes your player is getting? Yes, very. Vasile still tops the team by TPE, so it makes sense haha.
  8. I will test android.
  9. Name: Vassilios (Vasile) Lamb Position: Right Wing Height: 6’0” Weight: 210 lbs. Age: 21 Handedness: Left Country of Birth: Mississauga Hounds winger Vasile Lamb has been on fire so far this season, recording 17 goals and 19 assists (36 Points) in just 17 games. This has helped the team jump start to a 13-4-0 record, which currently is good for 3rd in the VHLM, and 2nd in the Eastern Conference. Many scouts are proclaiming him as one of the top prospects for the Season 82 VHL Entry Draft, and we have complied the draft reports we have seen into a list of pros and cons regarding the young winger. Pros: -Shot Scouts unanimously agree that Lamb already has an elite-level shot. Whether it's a wrister, slapper, tip, snapper, any type of shot you can imagine, he can do it just as well as any player in the VHL. In the Romanian Elite League III all-star game skills competition, he won the hardest shot (96.3 Mph) and the shooting accuracy (10.43s) events. His shooting style has been compared to the likes of Brendan Telker and Henry Tucker. -Personality Another thing most, if not all scouts can agree on, is Lamb's personality. Although he does have a fairly thick accent and isn't completely fluent in English just yet, VHLM and VHL management teams have been pleasantly surprised by how humble and outgoing Lamb is. He is quick to put his teammates first, praising them as the reason for all his successes. Being from a small, tight-knit community, it makes sense why he is the way he is. Another word thrown around is "born leader". High praise all around. Cons: -Defense Another knock on Lamb has been that he is a very raw prospect in his own zone, meaning that outside of his shot, he still has a ways to go using his talented frame. He describes himself as more of a checking forward, but often is seen missing on hits against opposition rushes, and being caught flat-footed on a turnover. No reason a little coaching can't fix his quirks, but for now, his defensive game needs a bit of work. Obviously, as a winger, defense isn't the first thing he is thinking about, but as someone who is a self-described "200-foot player", it just isn't there yet. -Versatility Vasile really lacks the "swiss army knife" type that most VHL teams are looking for. As previously stated he can shoot with the best, but put into other positions, such as a shootout, penalty kill, or broken plays, he isn't the greatest. No doubt, all this can be improved, but for now, the best thing to do is give him clean passes to get even cleaner looks. If you can do that, this is a non-factor. Projection If Lamb can work on his stick-handling, and overall creativity around the ice, he will easily become a dominant offensive winger in the big leagues. Grades Shooting: A+ Passing: B- Stickhandling: C+ Off-Ice: A- Defense: B- Star Potential: B+ (500-ish words)

  11. 1. What do you think about getting your career started with the Hounds? So excited! Mississauga is the closest VHL universe team to my IRL home, so happy to be close. 2. How do you plan to earn TPE this season? Every possible way. This is a speedrun to 700 TPE. 3. How does your player define success? The easy thing to say is championships, but I think if we all play competitive hockey to the best of our ability, and have fun, that's success. 4. Are you happy with your player's performance so far? Absolutely. Vasile has been sniping left and right so far. I owe it all to the team, they've been dishing passes right on my tape. 5. What team are you rooting for in the Olympics? Well, would I really be a Canadian if I said any country but Canada?! Can't wait to see Marchand - Bergeron - Crosby again. 6. Who is your favourite NHL player? Patrice Bergeron. Love the way he plays, a true leader and champion.
  12. DeGroot, going to be drafted by LA, is a low-event defender that doesn't do much of anything.
  13. G - Thadius Sales @Spartan donezo
  14. D - Aurelien Moreau F - Justin Lose @Blazzer back to you!
  15. It is time to officially announce the 2nd captain in franchise history. Although he will not be a long-serving captain, with retirement imminent, this player has been ride or die with the Predators since the moment he was drafted here. With over 200 goals and 450 points in the blue and orange, as well as always being one of the most positive and vocal voices in the locker room, I am proud to announce the new captain of the Warsaw Predators is.... @Crstats23 CHRIS REYNOLDS! Sporting the A's this season are 2 players who make Warsaw a better team on and off the ice, and will be able to assist Chris to lead this awesome group of players... Alternate 1: @qripll BOGDAN TRUNOV Alternate 2: @weekz BRIAN MOREAU 2 players with over 400 games and 300 points combined in the VHL, who both had breakout campaigns in Season 80. They each are super approachable, and overall fantastic members and people to have on a team. Congrats to all 3 of you! CHODŹMY WARSZAWO CHODŹMY
  16. @Phil 12 hours has passed, technically your first of 2 picks has been skipped. Still on the clock for 2 picks.
  17. 1. The Hounds went through a rough season last year. Do you think we can reach the playoffs in S81? I definitely think that if we all are on the same page and develop as a team, we have as good of a chance to make it as any. 2. What goals (if any) have you set for your player? Obviously making the hall of fame is always in the back of my mind. But I think for this player, I'd like to repeat what Dakota Lamb did - at least 1 cup, and 1 individual award. 3. Which NHL team is your favourite? The Bruins of Boston. LFG. 4. What is your favourite dish and why is it Pizza? I guess pizza is the easy answer, eh? I can't say no to Pepperoni, Bacon, and BBQ sauce. But I also love sushi, definitely a toss up. 5. Have you set eyes on a VHL/E team you aspire to play for? Unfortunately, pending any unforeseen circumstances, I won't be playing in the E. But Vasile would feel right at home on the Warsaw Predators. 6. Do you have any suggestions what the management can do to make you feel at home within the Hounds? Just post all TPE opportunities, talk about games, things like that. I'm not too fussy.
