You have the slightly stronger division but also the significantly worse one. Europe’s both sit in the middle. By averages Europe is stronger. Taking the division averages, adding them together, and dividing by 2: NA: 78.12 Points per season AVG EU: 79.08 Points per season AVG The Low division gives you guys more bad teams to beat up on driving the Bunclewirth division up the standings. EU is best.

More strong teams = points evening out more. We don’t have LA to beat up on.

Divisions were actually added when Prague and DC were brought in. The 4 team expansion just changed the schedule so that you play your own division more than the other ones. So while you guys have to face each other more you also get to face LA more, bonus there.

I feel like we never should have caved to pressure and broken these apart. Now I forget they exist more than ever. I think you mean a VHL team.

FWIW a team being placed in Montreal wouldn’t change its locker room’s language to French. Having a language barrier be involved with a specific team isn’t something we’re interested in doing as unfortunate as it is for non-english speakers.

Vancouver actually existed as the Quebec City Meute for most of its existence to fill this niche but actually for the reverse rep with people not wanting to play for a “French” team. Also a terrorist group stole the name... bastards. In any case Montreal has always been high on my list for potential expansion locations in NA along with Boston and Detroit.

FWIW I wasn’t even the one who proposed the name ( I don’t think anyway) and I don’t like it because I’m from Halifax, I just think it’s an absolutely perfect metaphor for the VHLM and think the “explanation” is straightforward enough that it could easily be thrown into the blurb GM’s give to new players; it’s not like it’s exactly complicated. Instead the reaction has just been “I’m going to be a dick about this name and demand it be changed instead of enjoying the team I have.” I don’t like when people make demands you see. But yes @Gaikoku-hito you don’t need to worry about it too much. We have 28 teams, people are bound to meme on a couple of names. Some of us like the 21st for the meaning, others think numbers as names are dumb. No part of it is really disrespecting the meaning.
