1 - Last night, our 8-game winning streak was shut down by the Chicago Phoenix. Who would you say were the most important players of this important stretch? Goaltending! Malones been a stud. We just all clicked and hopefully it was enough for a playoffs spot 2 - Who's one player on the team that doesn't get enough credit but you think is an integral part of our success so far? My guy Rose! Great defenceman who’s having a wicked season. 3 - We only have 14 games left. Are you satisfied with your individual performance? yes and no? I knew it would be a down season in terms of points with Killinger and Rose here as well. So I’m good with it. Could have had some more hits or shots blocked though! 4 - Who do you think has the best odds of being named MVP of this stupid Season 75? I honestly don’t know. Lafontaine is having a great season in CGY. 5 - What's your opinion on cheesy Christmas music? love it!! 6 - Do you have holiday plans for next week? im off for three weeks! Just going to chill and relax

1. Our hot streak has really cooled off. Do you feel our numbers now are more realistic or we're just in a slump? i think we’re coming back down to earth a bit. We were pretty bad last year, i don’t think a jump from the basement to the top of the EU is realistic. We’ll be a bubble team this year, and that’s okay. 2. Our goal scoring seems to have almost disappeared in recent games. How do you think we fix that issue? I blame Simon T. I think it’s just so random. 3. Both of our goalies have .919SV% right now so the losses can't be on them. Do you think ultimately it's our lack of scoring or a somewhat lack of star power that's the problem? I think we’ve got to just trust the process and keep growing. 4. Are there any teams surprising you in the standings this season compared to your expectations? Us! Didn’t think we’d have a great start but we did. 5. Do you feel there's a specific player that could help our situation in the league right now? If yes, what would you give up to acquire that player? Not sure. I think we have enough talent in house to make it work. 6) Mando question. I deleted it and can’t remember yes I do watch! Love it!! I’m behind a few so I’ve got some binging to do.

What are you looking forward to most this season? London’s first playoff appearance! Glad to be apart of it 2) Did you participate in the VHFL this season and if yes, how do you think you’ll do? I did, last I checked I was in second. I have a pretty solid team! Should do well 3) Who would you say is the number one player from each position in the league right now? Oh man. Chad Magnum at forward, Erik Killinger at D and Kevin Malone in net. 4) We’re off to a hot start. What do we need to do to keep it going? Don’t change a thing. We’re doing great, need to string a good win streak together! 5)Is this the season we make the playoffs? 100%! might even mess around and win the conference! 6) What’s your favourite part about the VHL? my team. In reality I’d say the portal.

1) London has started the year 3-0. At this current rate, they will never lose a game. Realistically, what do you think London's final record is? Well, a bit late but yes, we did! I think we finish the season in a good spot. Currently doing very well. I say we finish with somewhere between 40-45 wins. 2) Have you ever actually visited London in real life? If so what was your favorite / least favorite part? I haven’t but my girlfriend went right before we started dating. She loved it, ill go someday. 3) Who is your favorite teammate? Have to say our deadly goaltending tandem! 4) We recently shut out Davos 5-0. Will they even be a rival this year or are they too bad? They are free points always! Jk I’m pretty sure they beat us after this 5) Describe McWolf using an alliteration Great GM Good Guy 6) Whose logo do you like the most in the VHL? Hmmm. Big fan of the Malmo logo.

1. London finished last, but has the 2nd overall pick in the upcoming draft. Do you think London will have a lottery pick next season? I hope not. I think we’ve got a solid team, hopefully we’ll contend for a spot in the postseason! 2. Do you play a musical instrument? If so, why did you chose that/those instruments? Nope, tried to learn the guitar as a kid and a few more times since but I don’t have the patience. 3. Houston Bulls GM Rjfryman had a baby recently. What do you think his middle name is? Fry 4. Which British car manufacturer is your favorite and why? Damn, don’t know if I know any specific favourite. Is Jaguar British? I like those. 5. Sean Connery passed away on Halloween. Should we have a James Bond 007 Theme Night on opening night? Yes! Legend. RIP to that man. 6. Which question have you always been ready to answer, but never got asked? oh man, I’ve answered so many. No idea

1. 28-37-7. Sum up our season using a song or movie title. 2. The playoffs have begun! Who is your Continental Cup Champion prediction? 3. Have you looked at the names in the upcoming draft? Anyone you know? 4. Does your player have a nickname? If so, what is it? 5. What is your favourite "cheat day" food? 6. Any early S75 hot takes about your player? 1) Oh man. Probably a documentary on Tanks in World War II. But one featuring a tank that didn’t do its full job and ended up as the last lotto pick. 2) I don’t even know who’s good. Been focusing on the bottom of the standings this year. I’ll say Helsinki. 3) I’ve been following it, hoping we get a forward. I think Kelly or Thatcher would be our best bet. 4) No nickname. I guess in hockey terms it’d be Jasser? 5) Have a serious taco addiction. 6) I’m not on the same team come day one of the season. -
Welcome back!

1. Who is NYA's MVP thus far? We’re very close to last place. I don’t think anyone has been too valuable lol! 2. Nearing the end of S74, how satisfied are you with your season? Super happy. My goal was a point per game, and to do well in hits/SB. I’m up to 85 points and have doubled my previous career high in hits. Also just set a new high for shots blocked! 3. If you had to pick one, what is the best VHL player name? Big fan of European names. Bek has a good one, like the name Mikko. 4. NYA prospects are lighting up the VHLM, is there anyone specific you are excited to see in a NYA uniform next season? Strong Jr and Rhynex have been killing it. With them coming up and our lottery pick this year, we’re going to have a young team next year with a good future. 5. Who was the best NHL Free Agency signing this year? Im biased but my Blues picking up Torey Krug was a huge surprise and im Really happy about it 6. It's sp00ky szn! Are you dressing up for Halloween? Not this year. A few years ago I was Hulk Hogan though -
S75 VHL Mock Draft Another season has nearly come and gone! While most teams are looking towards the playoffs, a select few are looking to the future and their next era of players. The draft is the most important night of the season for some teams. The right selection can be the difference in escaping the league’s basement or another season of more of the same. As it stands right now, the bottom five teams are pretty much a lock to be in the lottery. That sixth and final spot is up for grabs, with six teams ranging from 66 points (Davos currently holding the spot) to 70 points (Helsinki, who is all the way up at sixth overall). In last currently, we have LA with 51 points. Last year they were in the bottom of the league and selected fifth overall. Second last is London, sitting in the same spot they held last year. Warsaw again returns to the lottery in year number two for them, and New York is just a point behind them as the American’s begin their rebuild period. Chicago and Davos round out the final two spots in the lottery. In today’s article, we’ll look at the potential selections these teams could make on draft night, depending on their team needs! This year’s draft isn’t as deep as previous years. We’ll only see about four or five capped players on draft night, and they won’t be capped by much. As of writing this, no players are currently at 250 TPE. That being said, there is some decent depth to this draft and teams will get some nice prospects throughout rounds one and two. 1st Overall- Los Angeles Stars At first overall, the Stars really only have one choice here. They have two S73 defencemen in Gumballs and Keef. They have a S74 D in Green. They also have their goalie of the future in Doug Dimmadome. So their only move is to grab a forward, and luckily for them, the best player in this draft is centerman Taro Tsujimoto of the Mississauga Hounds. Tsujimoto has been a force this year, scoring 43 goals and 102 points. He’s done a great job scoring, but he looks like he’ll be more of a playmaker. He’s currently tied for the league lead in assists with 59. 2nd Overall- London United The United are another team that have a pretty easy choice on draft night. They have a good group of young forwards. They don’t have a high TPE star, but they have a young core who is growing together. They have two defencemen though, and only one is active. So at 2nd overall, they’ll grab a defender and I believe it will be Muffbeav. He’s been an offensive defenceman for Yukon, scoring just under a point per game. This will give London a great young player to play with S72 player James Rose. 3rd Overall- Warsaw Predators Warsaw had the 1st overall pick last year, and took Aloe Dear who had a fantastic season for them. I believe Warsaw will look to go back to the forward pool in this draft. They have three solid defencemen already. Their best player is Dredge, who will go into his final season next year and will be hit hard with depreciation after this year. Pistil Stamen is having a good year in Yukon, he’s got 65 points in 60 games. He’s a player who likes to throw his body around, and looks to be a guy who not only scores, but uses his physical game to disrupt other players too. 4th Overall- New York Americans The Americans are a team who find themselves back in the lottery, after a few seasons of moderate success. Who they’ll select is a bit of an enigma. They don’t have a very young group of forwards, but the two high end forwards in this draft are gone. They could go with left wing Joe Kelly, who only scored 11 points in 60 games this year. He does project to be a very good player at the next level though. Last year, they took defenceman Markus Schauer in the first round, and do have S71 Hugh Jass (who is having a career year with 79 points so far) although there are rumours that he could be moved to a contender for futures. I ultimately think they’ll go D here, and pick the man known simply as L. L is one of the top earners in this draft, coming in at number two on the leaderboard. He’d be a great replacement for Jass. 5th Overall- Chicago Phoenix Chicago’s pick here is pretty simple, they need D. They have four right now, but only one is active. They’ll take Jolly Green Giant, who is having a great year in Ottawa. He’s got 55 points, 241 hits (2nd in the league) and 146 shots blocked (3rd in the league). He should be able to hit the cap by next season’s start, as he’s just over 200 at the time of writing this article. 6th Overall- HC Davos Davos might not be in this spot come draft night, as six teams are within the range of Davos. Only four points separate these teams. But for now, it’s Davos. Davos is in a good situation, they have some really good forwards, and one of the leagues TPE defenders in Roque Davis. I think they’ll go BPA here and take Joe Kelly. Kelly had an odd year in the VHLM, only scoring 11 points. He’ll do well to grow with the team and become the high end player he’s forecasted to be, playing in a no pressure situation. And that does it for this year’s lottery mock draft. As I said, not a ton of high end talent this season, but some decent depth beyond the players I listed here. It’s a good year to need a goalie, as there will be four goalies who top 200 TPE by the draft, all created by reputable updating members. 1001 words

New York Americans Press Conference Questions

1. We currently sit 22-25-5 at the time of posting, good for 7th in the North American conference. Which place do you see us finishing in? the lower the better! Team tank baby!! 2. We have the 7th best "goals for" in the league, why do you think we have been scoring so many goals? I’m not sure. I think we’ve allowed the most though, so that’s probably our downfall. 3. Reflecting on the theme of "Dream Teams" last week, who is 1 player in VHL history you wish you could have played with? Would love to have been on a PP with some of the defensive greats. 4. With the recruitment drive bringing in hundreds of new members, do you think the VHLM should expand? Where should the next team be? i think we need a team back on the East Coast of Canada! 5. I don't think I've asked this before, but when and how did you get into VHL? many years ago. I’ve been a member on this site since 2014, but I was in the OG VHL and other sim leagues long before that. Don’t remember how I even got into them tbh 6. The LA Lakers won the 2019-20 NBA Championship. Is LeBron the GOAT? still Think it’s Jordan. -
Hahahaha Love it. The VHL had to erase us to save their record books is how I see it. I also noticed that about Slash when I was taking a walk down VHLMemory Lane awhile back. Odd that it doesn’t show Philly.
