  2. The life before hockey Before coming to the Victory Hockey League, The Frenchman already lead an entire life. Little is known about his childhood though, all that is known is that his first name is Serge and he is from French-Algerian descent. As a little kid he went from foster home to foster home, until he was brought to Russia by some unknown people. Here is it where Serge got trained by the Bratva and where he has taken his first steps in a life of crime. As a kid they already were training him in all kind of sciences, so at a young age he became an expert in all kinds of explosives. Being grown fond of all what science had to offer him he managed to actually weaponize innocent medicenes like Xanax, making it so that the people who accidentily take it, won't make it through the night. The excellent chemist that he is, made him into a weapon of mass destruction that left unchecked, could lead to mass genocide. He hardly knew that what he was doing was wrong, as he never lived a different life. This went on for years, and it wasn't until he was of later age that he actually blew up the location he was held and escaped the captivity and moving to the United States. In the United States he could not shake his past, but instead of being told what to do, he wanted to fight for what he believed in. He found other like minded people with whom he teamed up with to fight some evil big corperations. While he still got his hands dirty like this, it was at least by his own desires and fighting for what he believed was right. Some of his new friends also werent the most friendly figures, all having lived a life of crime in the past. So while they fought for what they believed, it still was not certain that he was actually on the correct side of the law. But it was here that he fell in love with his girlfriend, who they rescued from captivity during one of her missions. Despite her not being able to speak, he learned what love was and fell in love with her, communicating with her hands, he had to quickly learn sign language, but throughout time, he learned how to understand what she was saying as they became inseperatable. Despite all his years in Russia, he never lost his french dialect and while he does sound french, when he speaks it he usually uses incorrect phrasing, he probably doesn't do this intentional, but just doesn't know better and tries to keep speaking in his native language. The Frenchman's past did cause him to be prone to violent outbursts, especially when his friends are making fun of France and the French, but he is learning to control his anger. His friends do prefer to keeping him around as he's a better friend than it would be to have him as an enemy. But even though he is a dangerous man, he can actually be quite shy and caring. That is until he is provoked, as sometime in a coffee shop some random people overheard him speaking and told him to shut his cheese-eating mouth, it wasn't until long after until these men lost their ability to speak seeing The Frenchman did happen to be carrying a steak knife in the back of his pocket. While it remains a question how he keeps avoiding the feds, he is still on his own feet and free to walk the earth, when he decided he wanted to change up his life. Together with his girlfriend, who will we just name 'The Female' now, he decided to step away from his violent past and do something totally different. With fighting being frowned upon more and more in hockey, this seemed to be the nice next step in his career, and that is when he decided to move to Las Vegas, where he would would join the Aces and get a VHLM championship behind his name. He quickly learned he missed the old cold ways of the country he grew up in, Russia. Despite not wanting to go back there, he settled for the next best thing when he got offered the chance to play in the VHLE for the Bratislava Watchmen. He enjoyed being close to Russia and experience the long cold winters there. Despite it being a different country , it still felt like home. Next to that, when he actually got drafted into the big league, he was happy to find out it was still in a closeby country, now living his live in Latvia, life finally looks to look bright for The Frenchman. Will it be a happily ever after story? Only time can tell.
  3. The Frenchman Rookie Experience We are now 30 games into the start of the 9 season career that The Frenchman hopes to have, and the start isn't as great as he hoped it would be. Before the season started the general manager of the Riga Reign said that due to our lower depth on our roster, that The Frenchman likely could be an above point per game player, but after 30 games, we are just at 17 points, a bit over half a point per game, but atleast it is trending upwards. He knew his rookie season could be rough as he also struggled in the VHLE last season as a lower TPE player. But he knew the risk and wanted to go for a 9 season career, as perhaps it will be the only time someone from his agency would do it. The graduation to the VHL was a bit rough, as shortly after he announced he was going up, the Bratislava Watchmen decided to go all in and acquire some more solid players. He did not know that beforehand and it could have had changed his mind. So looking back, he might still have some regrets about going up, but what's done is done. With his expectations tempered after his vhle season, he got overexcited about the promise made about the point totals, he already could see himself up there in rookie scoring, but truth be told, he's only in the 10th position, while teammate Gus Bentley is in first, over a point per game, having the season that The Frenchman hoped he would have. So while his numbers are not on par what he had hoped, he will not stop to earn and push himself to the limit, trying to challenge towards a point per game in the remainder of his rookie season. It's definitly not over yet for the young frenchman. From a team point of view, the Riga Reign are in last. Which comes to no one’s surprise, seeing we are in a full rebuild mode. We even are selling off our players for future draft picks, to help us compete in the future. It is a long road ahead of us, but hopefully The Frenchman will be able to trend upwards and help carry this franchise on his back. It might not have happened while he is a rookie, but there is still a longer career ahead of him. We can only hope for the best for him from here on out.
  4. Congrats, to all the milestones you'll hit in the future
  5. Atleast you were on time.
  6. When is the deadline for this one?
  7. A Sad Day The Frenchman has a hard time getting in a good flow this season and is outscored by almost everyone on the Riga Reign. But beside his lousy play, yesterday was a sad day in the life of Frenchie as one of his childhood hero’s died. Jason David Frank, known to most as the Green power ranger (but also played white/red and black in other shows) passed away, reportedly to suicide. This made the frenchman actually sad as he still wanted to meet him. He had the chance back in 2018, but he does not remember why he in the end didn’t went to see him at the con. Could have been other arrangements, or just not having the money at the time, but it’s too long ago and now it’s too late. The news hit the Frenchman hard and he is still thinking about it, especially since it apparently was a suicide. It comes the day after the frenchman went to Dutch Comic Con and spoke to Stephen Amell, who even has his own charity to support mental health in Sincerious and mentioned to him how great he thinks it is that he's doing this to raise awareness. Mental health issues can happen to anyone, so please people take your own mental health serious, as before you know it, you can find yourself in a dark place. Jason David Frank, I hope you are in a better place now, you always been a hero to me.
