The shitshow called standings
Currently the top 3 in North America all have 69 points or higher, while this is only the case for Moscow in Europe.
However when looking at that 4th spot in North America, teams 2 to 7 in Europe all would place higher in this. It really shows the difference in the strength of the top teams and the bottom teams in North America, compared to how all teams can beat eachother on a good day (barring Helsinki) in the EU Conference.
Even the Riga Reign, who were sellers at the trade deadline as we moved Tavish DeGroot to Seattle are currently in a great position, at the time of writing we are 3rd in the EU. So even when losing our best player, we took a step forward. It's really a coinflip league in Europe.
So there are still quite a few games to play, but outside of Helsinki, everyone can still make the playoffs. And that is without me remembering how many teams actually do make the playoffs here. It does make for an interesting season though as the Reign keep growing their young players. Once they can make the next step, the Kingdom of Europe that is currently ruled by Moscow, might be able to be conquered by Riga!
