    About
While early struggles by the Mexico City Kings have ruined any hopes of a playoff run, the strong playmaking ability of Shane Lazeski has led him to a strong start in his rookie campaign. He has racked up 35 points in his first 42 games with the team with a majority of his points coming from feeding his teammates. Lazeski has an extremely selfless mindset when he hits the ice and demonstrates exceptional vision, always finding the open man. Lazeski came midway through season 77, yet he has proven that his inexperience hasn’t affected his ability to make a serious impact on the Kings. His early success has been a huge factor in a stronger second half of the season for Mexico City. Lazeski took advantage of his role on the team and played his very best during his time with the Kings and while he has the privilege of playing with some amazing players, it’s his love of the game that allows him to play with such confidence.

    Strengths
    1. Eyes on the back of his head and will find players most others can’t. He can find instant chemistry in any room that he’s put in.

    2. Always puts his teammates first and will be sure to set up plays rather than taking dumb shots.

    3. Comes to work every day to better improve himself and develop into a VHL caliber player.

    4. Whilst being a playmaker, Lazeski can put the puck in the net as well. He continues to get better at it as the season winds down, tallying 11 goals.

    5. High hockey IQ, especially in the offensive zone and can read plays very well. He creates opportunities with an array of tools such as rebounds and banks.

    Weaknesses
    1. Being a smaller guy, Lazeski isn't as physical as he should be. He can get tossed around by the larger players in the league.

    2. Defensively, Lazeski has had his struggles getting back and defending the rush. He knows this is a major flaw in his game that needs to be addressed in the off-season.

    3. Even though Lazeski doesn’t take dumb shots as mentioned earlier, he has a tendency to look for a pass even with a good shooting lane available.

    4. Can get in his head during personal slumps which can make it harder to get out of them.

Shane Lazeski will never be fully satisfied with his game and has many improvements to make, but he will put in his full effort to better himself and his team.

    1. With two recent wins, what are your expectations for the rest of the season?
Our goal is to win and I expect us to keep doing so. We have a great group and we aren't quitting on this season.

    2. Is Bastian Greiss that good as a goalie or are we on an upswing?
He's a fantastic goalie that will be in the VHL very soon. It helps our team knowing we have a wall behind us.

    3. Favourite place to eat in Mexico City?
Anywhere the team goes. Food tastes better after a win with the boys.

    4. You can add any one rule to the league, what is it?
The winner of the Founder's Cup and last place in the VHL play each other, the winner plays in the VHL the following season.

    5. Do we need a new logo in your opinion?
I don't think so, we have one of, if not the best logo in the VHLM and I'm proud to wear it every game.

    6. We are entering a lockdown where I live....how have you been handling covid and all that comes with it lately?
Where I live we are taking steps backwards so it's been difficult, but at the end of the day this whole process will take patience. I know this will all be over soon enough which makes this all a little easier.

Welcome to the VHL, Shane Laz! We're happy to have you. You should have received a PM with some more detailed information, but to get started quickly you will want to head over to the "How to Create a Player" topic. That topic will offer you detailed information about how to use the VHL Portal to create your player and get you started. We also highly recommend joining the VHL Discord where there is a channel dedicated to helping new members with any questions that they may have about the league or improving their player.

Once your player is made VHLM General Managers will be in touch with you about joining their teams. In the meantime, please feel free to ask any questions you have here or in your create-a-player thread. We're happy to have you in the community and we hope you stick around!
