  10. Review : I'm excited to see how the best named goaltender in the VHLM does this season. There's a lot of great potential goaltenders recently like Papa Emeritus and Xavier Booberry, so it would be sick if Menace could join the party. I wouldn't be shocked if your player was a sleeper in your S80 VHL draft and shines for Calgary (your first season stats in only 12 games are very good... 0.906 SV% is a great number for the VHLM, it should only get better as your player improves). For your article it's put together well, maybe an image of your player could grab the reader's eye better but besides that I enjoyed reading. Good luck in Ottawa this season, your team is looking nice and hopefully you can walk away with a Founder's Cup! 9/10
  11. Review : Great idea. In my opinion I believe there isn't much hockey in those listed cities since they rarely get snow or any cold temperatures. But there's still ice rinks around those areas so it is a shame hockey isn't more popular. I like your descriptions of the cities and if I had to pick a favourite it would be Jakarta, the city is so lively and beautiful, I would book a plane ticket to travel and see a game there. And with their population and GDP, there wouldn't be a problem getting fans into a brand new and nice arena. Great work. 9/10.
  12. Williams will be a major asset for any team* This team is fire though. Me and @Alex_J32 on a line
  13. RW - (S79) AJ Williams THE TIME HAS FINALLY COME!!! AJ Williams enters the VHL finally after two full seasons spent in the VHLM. After being drafted to the Los Angeles Stars at fifth overall in S79, Williams decided he was not quite ready for the big leagues. Williams had yet been drafted to a VHLM team yet and wanted to spend another season in the minors to train and be ready for his VHL career. Williams was then selected first overall to the Mississauga Hounds where he would play his full 72 game season and end up playing for a Founder's Cup. Unfortunately the Hounds could not pull through and lost to Miami is 5 games, but nonetheless, Williams put on a playoff show. Leading his team and the league in points - Sits now in the top 10 all time for points in VHLM playoffs. Also sits at number one for shorthanded goals all time in VHLM playoffs. Williams also participated in the most recent WJC tournament with Canada, getting his feet wet in greater competition to be ready for the VHL. He actually showed out, 3 goals and 5 points in 8 games. All three of those goals being game winners. The VHL Williams will play his S80 with the Los Angeles Stars. Williams is the highest TPA ranked rookie going into the season just above former Mississauga teammates, Sigard Petrenko, Vinny Detroit and Corey Kitson, and former S78 Ottawa Lynx teammate, Matty Fire. Williams had some positive thoughts towards Fire in an interview, "It's great to see Matty in the league, I knew he'd make it the second I started playing with him. It's no shock that Matty went second overall this past draft and hopefully we can have some fun competition between us this season for that Stolzschweiger Trophy. Best of luck in Toronto." Williams stated his goal, with an extra season in the VHLM, is to be top rookie of S80. With a smaller rookie class and Williams' skill this season, this goal isn't a crazy one. Williams also has expectations to bring Los Angeles a Continental Cup sometime in his career. He is loving sunny California and plans to make it his home for his whole career, eventually and hopefully becoming the face of the Stars. Williams plays with big names like Merrick, Pines, and Dimmadome, so it is easy to see with a team like that why he would like to get comfy in Los Angeles.

  15. 1. For the media’s ears Williams trains hard and is on the ice lots (h’s and booger sugar). 2. For an S78 defenceman I’d say not that bad. 3. Would be fun but the VHL is where it’s at. 4. I don’t know VHL drama but this is exciting. 5. Jeffrey Pines 6. Spanish, the girls are baddddd

  18. This past off-season I had the privilege of being apart of the WJC GM squad, taking control of Team USA. For a while now I have been wanting to try out GMing (last off-season I had a GM spot for ProAm but the league folded) so when this opportunity came I was super excited. As a Canadian, managing Team USA hurt a bit but having a job in the VHL was the bigger picture. USA had a lack in centerman but every other position was solid. I feel as if I did my best picking a roster that could compete as well as have members behind their players who were active. Even though USA finished 4th out of the 5 teams, I still had a lot of fun being in control of a team - even if it was only for a couple days. This was also the first time I used STHS and made lines. In all honesty it came with ease as I already had the steps on how to submit lines from ProAm, and I had help to create lines and strategies from dlamb. Even though STHS is pretty basic it was super cool seeing what features it had and all the different lines you can make (not just forwards and defence but extras and shootout as well). It was even cooler seeing my lines being put to work and visible for the whole VHL community to see if they wanted on the portal. It was a really great experience and hopefully this along with my current AGM job with Warsaw can lead me to a GM job down the road with whatever league I can land.
  19. F - Groovy Dood @Moon_50 your turn
  20. Press conference - Week Ending September 26 (Answer all 6 for 2 TPE) 1. The S80 VHL draft wrapped up last night, what are your thoughts on Warsaw's picks? 2. What will S80 look like for Warsaw? We had our draft and a couple free agency signings so we do have a core. 3. The S79 Awards also happened last night, any surprises? Is there someone who should have won an award that didn't? (link for awards recap) 4. The VHLE expansion draft goes on tonight. Which VHLE team do you want to win the draft (is your favourite if you have one)? 5. A sad day for Warsaw as 6 season long veteran Aloe Dear tested the free agency and ended up signing with the D.C. Dragons. Any thoughts on Dear and their great career so far? 6. Most important question: How was your weekend?

  23. 1. I knew it was going to happened. Didn’t think Miami would throw a 3-1 series. 2. Yeah Malmo has a really built team. BOOM’s player had a great squad to help them go off. 3. VHL rookie season. 4. Write articles. 5. Cologne seems cool to me. 6. In the VHLM it could take as little as a season to be a contender again.
