It's no secret that I have a reputation for trading picks that I actually wanted to shed some as I took over NY this time around. However that said, the opportunity for quality forwards is a little more limited given the prospect pool of the S52 draft. The reality was, I needed to trade or acquire a player to help Gorlab out, and begin building a core. With this deal I get two forwards, members I both like and respect in Streetlight and Der Meister. This deal still leaves me with 3 1sts in the 52 draft, one of them being NY's own. I get a near 400 TPE stud forward with Street, a solid up and comer with Der Meister who has a history of making great players, and then on top of that I get some D depth with two of the more overlooked members in the league. 
 
This gets my rebuild kickstarted and leverages the picks in a few ways I don't think I would of been able to do had I just hung onto them. I welcome these newer members to the roster. Interesting deal for sure.

Hey all. S51 discussion to happen here. Going to be a very different season for me, as it's been a long time where I was a GM that I didn't compete in some form or another. Even when I rebuilt with NY ages and ages ago I ended up hanging onto Streets goalie Glover and Reik and making the playoffs. I highly doubt we make the playoff this season, but the competitiveness or should I say lack there of of the NA conference could change that. A lot of question marks still be answered, Toronto and Quebec are leftovers from last season, neither as of yet with a goalie. Seattle is so young. CGY got all the FA's so they pretty much push themselves ahead of everyone.
 
If we manage to get a FA or two in Sterling/Robbie I may put an offer out to Victor and say screw it let's go for something this season. More likely though we stat pad this season, miss the playfoffs, and then 52 we go as strong as possible from that season onward. All the players I have thus far, your all contracted up to S52 except for Kissanen. I like that. Because it means I have to prove to you guys that we will be a playoff team come 52, and I look forward to being able to, hopefully of course, get some extension signed during 52 and get this New York core combined with who we get from the 52 draft locked in place. 
 
Until then though, have fun guys. Feel free to bullshit in here, or say whatever.  If you have any legit concerns about your player, or the team I'd rather you PM just so I make sure I see it and give you a timely mix. 

I feel like I have been so up and down UNTIL NOW.
 
Since moving in with my new roommates, we as a house have done a week straight of T25 (6 full workouts) and I have barely touched pop (had a cheat day) and been leaning more heavily into water while eating a few different kinds of salads with protein on them.  Been freezing grapes and having tiny bowls of popcorn and crispy minis when I want snacks, so been trying to keep it light.

So..that deal came out of no where.  It just got offered to me and with the Euro conference having a few teams on the rise and my player getting older..I want to make sure I get YEAH in S52 and build through those two drafts.  I seriously wish you all the luck on NY with Gorlab, Devise and hopefully some FA will join their now.
 
I'm sorry it didn't work out here...I really liked having you guys and wish it did.  I just think this is for the best.
 
I wish I could have talked to you guys about it but Devise wanted to post it now to get FA to come his way so I thought it was in your guys best interest too.

I accept.  This is incredibly hard but with AVB only having four seasons left, I just feel more comfortable going full scale rebuild and starting fresh with S52 and S53 drafts.  It's risky but it just feels better to me.
 
Streetlight is an awesome member and I hope he finds all the success he could ever want on New York with a team that has the likes of Gorlab and hopefully some more players through FA.  Der Meister has become a very good friend of mine and is a tremendously loyal member who will do great things for the Americans.  Dotran is a quality and overlooked member and will do good things for New York.  Kissanen has worked especially hard of late and I expect he will keep it up while in the VHL.

1. Chance to change history - We all know this franchise is the laughing stock of league history and we would all like to change that and get them some cups.  I for one wanted to be the GM to do it which is why I took the job.  You would have a chance to make it so the Vasteras/Stockholm franchise has strong history just like myself, Sterling, Streetlight, etc. did for New York.
 
2. I am GM - I am a proven GM.  I don't know if I think I'm the best ever (Molholt anyone?)...but I am proven and I will do anything to keep my team in the hunt.  Yeah, the European Conference is tougher, but you have to beat those teams anyway.
 
3. Good young core - Streetlight, Der Meister, Paramorise, SVB, etc.  Even a solid goalie in AVB, and while he isnt as good as Weinstein...he also is two years younger and progressing and a lot cheaper as well.  I also have 2 1sts in S52 and multiple 2nds in S53, so I will continue to stockpile young talent.  Lots of money to get those Free Agents now too...more than anyone else trying to compete.
 
4. I run a Tight Knit LR - Always have and always will.  Just like in New York.
 
5. It's Destiny - Season 1...Cup, Season 26...Cup, Season 51...Cup?
