He would be the first one to admit it himself.... having said that, he has not invested in Scoring (which was a build choice of his) so one cannot be surprised that he is not an elite marksman.... and he was always unlucky sofar with the teams he played in, as they were often the bottomfeeder teams and got scored against a lot, hence his +/- stats...

1. It is something... I am always bad with new things and seeing my player cut in half does not help me to get warm with the idea... 2. I have dipped into it, but I just know too few users to be any good at it. 3. Glamour.... to add to the ticketsales and influence the crowd 4. I do not know honestly there is so much delicious food out there, but everything gets stale if you eat it day in, day out, three meals a day. 5. That someone was lying to me who told me that PS is a useless skill 6. Poutine is could carb and proteine deliverer and tasty...

Tell me, I am the guy who fought the second most (eight times) this season so far with exactly zero points invested in fighting...

to be fair, missed shots are counted as shots as well, so there is a method of some sort to the madness....

Well I based my statement on the information available to me (mainly Gustav's build guide). Okay even if penalty shots skill at 99 would guarantee that you score 100% of the times you take one... how often is this the case? first there must be a tie, then a goal-less extratime and then you need to be a dedicated shooter.... and I have yet to see a penalty shot awarded during regulation time (I am not saying they do not eixst, just saying in the 200+ games my player participated in so far, I have yet to see a penalty shot awarded). Whereas defence, Scoring, skating, puckhandling, passing etc. help you in every situation, every minute you play... I mean of course one can strive to be the next Pavel Datsyuk but I highly doubt it is worth the costs... AFAIK Fighting just elevates your chances to assemble a nice collection of 5minutes major (which I have plenty already, without putting any points into it as of yet), which I am sure every GM is excited to see when his player spends more time in the sinbin than on the ice. Discipline is apparently a mitigating factor for taking penalties so not entirely useless (especially when you have high checking/fighting values), but again how much mitigation per point and is it really worth it? Leadership is said to do jack all or at best has very minuscule effect on your and your team's performance (maybe a team with everyone at 99 LS could be interesting as an experiment, but again I doubt it is worth the time and effort to raise it to a meaningful level (there must be a reason why this attribute has the highest conversion rate on the new spreadsheet)... That never was the problem though, was it? Anyway, enough whining from my side, thanks to everyone involved in addressing the meta and lets see how things pan out...

Okay, I was not aware of the skill level being a problem, thanks for the clarification. Well, except netminders... So I guess with that in mind (i.e. Skaters massively nerfed, while tendies stay where they were) we will see a lot of soccer match results in the next couple of season.... which is not bad per se, just noteworthy... Nothing is exactly TPE efficient with the new distribution, but it is difficult to convince myself to invest hard earned TPE in points which do not further the build I had in mind for my player (even less so when the cost for said attributes are at a 3:1 conversion rate AND in addition do nothing or close to nothing for the team or player (things like leadership, fighting, penalty shots and discipline)).

Yes, I think it was wrong, it just was legal. Not everything which is legal is right and not everything that is wrong is illegal (at least in my RL experience)

Okay I just tried to rebuild my player who at the moment looks like this: What I was able to achieve with the same TPA/E looks about this: CK 58, FG 40, DI 40, SK 77, ST 76, PH 70, FO 67, PA 73, SC 61, DF 71, PS 40, LD 40 So the player I had is now at the same level he was when he entered the VHLE.... Was there any issue with the skill level in general? Because it kind of hurts to see the player you invested a considerable amount of your freetime into, cut into half. The above new values of Daniel Janser are worth 253 TPE by my count with the 'old' system... Would it be something which could be considered that 1 TPE remains 1 point worth of attribute (still split with the relative ratio which was used in the spreadsheet (i.e. for example Defensive Coverage giving .5 to DF and .5 to SK)?

Swiss Central Gazzette (Marcel's stats/Daniel's stats) It has been a while since we last reported from our Swiss hockey exports, for which we would like to apologize to our trusty readership. We will fast forward to the actual state of affairs with Vasteras and Calgary as well as the individual efforts of the Janser brothers. Marcel's Iron Eagles are out of the playoff race for good for a while now, but still achieve the one or the other upset. Marcel is 5th in scoring for his team, leads the league in blocked shots and is on track for a 53 point season. Not bad for a defence first defenceman. He scored the most gamewinners for his team with four of his eight goals being decisive. The younger Janser is also a rare guest in the sin bin with only 35 PIM served, with only one fighting major (which he lost). On the other hand his +/- is the worst of his team with -43 and his shot accuracy of 6.67% could certainly do with some improvement. To end our summary on a positive note, Marcel was elected into the three stars four times this season. Here are his stats for this season so far: 64gp, 8g, 39a, 47pts, -43, 35 PIM, 32 hits, 179sb, 4gwg, 5ppg Daniel's Wranglers are on track to make the post season, sitting firmly on third seed of the NA conference. Daniel is the second weakest scorer in his team with 66 points in 64 games. Alas, the Wranglers can rely on many shoulders to do the heavy lifting and to have a point per game as a rookie two-way-center is no small achievement. The elder Janser brother also tucks in when it comes to physical play and stands proud at 182 hits (4th of the team) and 104 PIM served (also 4th). A good deal of this penalties were fighting majors and only Owen Taylor got involved more in fights than the feisty Swiss. His fighting record is balanced with a win, a loss and six ties. His +/- of +40 is amongst the top twenty of the league. He was voted in the three stars eight times (twice for first star) and his 54.15% success rate at the hash marks puts him 16th of the league (only player with at least 2000 face offs taken are considered for this purpose). On the downside his marksmanship could use some work, as only 11.06% of his shots find the back of the net and only one of his 22 goals was decisive. Of course, he always strives to do better in all aspects, as he sees himself as one of the the franchise players of the Calgary teams to come. Here are Daniel's stats in summary: 64gp, 22g, 44a, 66pts, +40, 104 PIM, 182 hits, 32sb, 1gwg, 1ppg, 54.15 FO% Of course we will further update on the brother's journey to glory on foreign ice. Marcel will likely spend an other season in the VHLE and be a staple in the Vasteras defence core to hone his skills.
