The end of Johnny's 3rd professional season is drawing to a close, and after 2 years of quieted disappointment and not meeting expectactions - Johnny has finally seemed to have come into form. After a rookie season that left many bewildered and wondering if the American 2nd-liner was up for the task of the pro league. His sophomore season did not do much to qwell those concerns, as he had another mundane season, still not able to break 60 points despite winning Gold in the World Cup. This season seems to have had a different calling for the young Tsunami, as he stands poised to end the season with more than 80 points and an astonishing 56 assists in total. This comes after finding an unexpected connection with linemates Grimgor Ironhide and David Pastanap - while helping to boost the scoring of his draft classmate, Felicia Hardy. This doesn't mean that Johnny is completely without fault, his shooting percentage is still quite low for having over 420 shots on the season. One point of celebration though, is that despite over 420 shots, 80+ points and 52 hits - Johnny only had 20 PIMs one the season. This shows that not only is Johnny starting to find his form, he's doing so with minimal impact on the penalties. 214 words

What do you hope to accomplish by the time the playoffs roll around? I just want to try and get as close to 100 as possible! 3. Have you made any progress on your New Year’s Resolutions this month, if any? Oh yeah, Johnny's kicking butt! 4. How far along are you in terms of your ideal build (have you reached it, are you banking for depreciation, etc.)? We're getting there. My OV is almost 90. 5. Who would you say is your player’s best friend on the team? I would say that Johnny is definitely a more all around friend and probably doesn't favor one person to another. If there had to be one, probably someone in my draft class. Felicia? 6. Mikko Rantanen was dealt to the Carolina Hurricanes in a three-way trade! Do you have any thoughts on this move? Florida is still gonna win it all.

1. Do you have any New Year’s Resolutions? Like others, I'm awful at them. It's always exercise more and drink more water lol. 2. A week into sims, how are you feeling about your player’s performance thus far? Decent, he's doing well but the team as a whole seems to be having some bad luck. 3. Are you aiming for any individual awards this season? Maybe? If there was like a most improved perhaps. 4. There have been ongoing discussions about meme player names. Do you have any opinions on them? Meme names are a mixed bag for me. On one hand, the humor does add a sense of freshness to the stale-ish league. But new players might be turned off to the league if the meme names get our of control and the sense of 'realism' is gone. 5. Do you believe the VHL should bring back grading for point tasks? Yes. Industry standard, why go against it? 6. At this point in the NHL season, which team do you believe has the best chance at winning the Stanley Cup? Moneypuck and all the analyst talking heads say Oilers. I say Panthers go for 2!

1. S97 is officially underway! How excited are you on a scale of 1-10? 9, excited but nervous. Hopefully Johnny continues to perform. 2. Which team do you predict will be our biggest rival this season? Moscow. 3. What attributes are you focusing your TPE on as the season starts? Mostly scoring. Continue to be a potent threat. Then start to work on the 80+ stuff. 4. What will be Davos’ key to success in S97? Defense. We need a brick wall defense to help the goalies until they get their sea legs. 5. A season onwards from the removal of the VHLE, have you noticed any significant impacts this change has had? Eh, if anything it just kinda shows how bare were getting sadly :c 6. We all know the portal is an essential tool in the VHL: are there any stats, additions, etc. you would like to see within the portal that haven’t already been added? I still want trading cards tbh.

Well VHL, it's certainly been a hot minute since our last Tsunami Warning, but it's really been picking up in the more recent days. Firstly, starting with a recap of Season 96 in a few words: much better. The season started pretty rough, with Johnny really struggling to find his footing. But after about 30 or so games, he really kicked it into high gear and started meshing better with his teammates. This season saw both big improvements in Johnny's goals and assist output, something that in his rookie season he really lacked in. Toward the end of the season is where Johnny really started to shine, putting out 13 points in a playoffs that saw Davos fall slightly short of the cup. In the offseason, Johnny continued the offensive work as a part of the gold-winning Team USA World Cup team where he dropped 8 point in the tournament overall. When asked about his recent gold medal win with his teammates, he responded "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" 165 words

Reviewing! I love when people do cards and I wish we had more of them (frankly I think a card program in general would be awesome but that's beside the point). I will say that with cards, I like to do two separate graphics, the front and the back - that way you can separate the data from the art and simply use the front just to do that, then put all the stats and info on the 'back' side photo. Aside from that, it looks dope! The name looks good with the background effect you chose too, maybe a way to get it included with the frame so it reads better. Overall a great start! 8.5/10!

1. The season starts soon! What is your bold prediction for S97? We will never lose, ever. 2. What are your goals for the upcoming season for yourself and your player? I think I want to perform better than I did on the last two seasons, thats for sure. 3. What is your favorite defunct VHL, VHLM, or VHLE franchise? Yukon had a cool style to it! 4. Do you have a favorite part of the offseason (draft, free agency, tournaments, training camp, etc.)? I always love the tournaments. (USA RAAAA) 5. Growing up, who was your favorite NHL player (if you had one)? Stephen Weiss! 7. Do you have any plans for the holiday season? Stay home and enjoy the long time off.

Reviewing! So these are actually kind of dope. Of the three, I would say that you kind of locked yourself into pretty much only having a white or light colored jersey with these colors. The black one just looks kind of off and out of place compared to the other two ones. I think that maybe instead of doing the black background jersey, you do a like light blue one? Overall though, the other two are so good, it more than makes up for it! 9/10!

1. I would say it’s officially time to get into the holiday spirit! How festive are you feeling? Eh, I've never really been one for the winter. 2. Davos has brought back the legend Ahma and the next in the Jokinen line! How do you feel about Davos’ draft? Good draft! Hoping it rounds us out nicely. 3. Of the cities in the VHL in both the NA and EU conferences, which one would you like to visit the most? Davos tbh, it seems really pretty. 4. What are your goals for the upcoming season? Do better. lol 5. What position do you believe is most fun to play as and build in the VHL? Probably Goalie, it's the most rewarding I would think. 6. What is one thing you enjoy the most about being a part of a sim league? Camaraderie is always a nice thing to have.
