  1. 1. Take some time off with his family and train like a beast. 2. enjoying the time with my close family. 3. I don’t see why really they don’t have @Daniel Janser yet maybe he is the missing piece. 4. John Klingberg, Quinn Hughes and Cale Makar are my favorite defenseman in the league right now so one of them. 5. I love to donate gift and see the reaction from the people that’s the best feeling. 6. They are a bunch of teammates that deserve a shout out but @tinafrombobsburgers always cheerful.
  2. It’s quite a nice recap of you’re experience in the league so far and hope the best for the future. It’s nice to know more about you, I quite enjoy your past Article with Armani, but this help to get to know the user behind. 8/10
  3. That’s so good! You really make it easy to understand Sakamoto, his play style and his character. I like that you have the practice description, the Sakamoto interview and the scouts section, bring an aspect that I don’t see often and is really interesting. 9/10
  4. 1. Yes it’s normal you can’t go into a season and think that we are going to win all of our games. I trust this team to win the championship this year. 2. No, we don’t need to make a move that is really good like that. 3. Torq, live and vomacka are really good for us but it’s a team effort at the end of each win. 4. Romain and torq are two who are really active in the LR. 5. a sombrero or a cowboy hat Would be pretty nice ahah. 6. I think 16Z and thunder are going to win.
  5. Let's bring this series back. Where I take some teams that are close in the standings trying to analyze their players and games to figure out what team is going to end up on top. Looking in the VHLE this time we have 3 separate fights and Geneva, in their defense the Rush did sell their best players for picks. The first fight that we are looking at is at the top of the standings where The Istanbul Red Wolves and The Bratislava Watchmen, they have only one point separated them. The Red Wolves are in a 4 games win streak lets see if the streak continues facing Cologne and Geneva in their next games. The first stats that catch my eye is the +/- where only 3 players have a +/- over 10 compared to Bratislava where all the players are positive +/- and only one player is below ten. Just that tells that The Watchmen have a more rounded team. The Red Wolves are still one if not the best defensive team in the league. With both goaltender The Red Menace and Kloxified, who are winning most of their respective games and have a .930SV% (for The Red Menace) and .928 (for Kloxified). With their fourth defenseman being really good on both sides of the ice, a huge portion of the points are produced by the defenseman. And their first line, who I will call the S77 first line, because they are all in the S77 draft class, are over a point per game. Most of the points produced by the Red Wolves are from these seventh players. Hulk Hogan 2 is leading the charge on both sides of the ice with 50 points and 92 shots blocked in 40 games. Now It’s Bratislava turn, Cadmael Ixazaluoh is leading the charge for them having a fantastic year with 57 points and 101 shots blocked in 40 games. Bratislava have 2 lines who are producing points for them with John Baard, Nils Godlander and Jlloyoid Blloyoiderson having more than 50 points each. Don’t forget about that second line who can also produce with William Groves who continues playing like he played with Ottawa in the playoffs last year. They have two great goalies who are giving them a chance to win every game. I think this fight is the closest one Bratislava has to a more productive team, but Istanbul is the more defensive. This fight will be close until the end of the season and I think Bratislava will end up on top. The second fight that I am analyzing is between three teams Cologne, Stockholm and Rome, only fourth points separating those teams. Starting with The Cologne Express, they have great players and they have recently upgraded their team with trading for Sergey Preobrazhensky who is at exactly 1 points per game this season, interesting stats he didn’t take one penalty in his 16 games with Cologne. They have 4 players in the top ten in +/- and one of the most productive players in the league is Karjalainen. They are an offensive minded team with all their having more than 20 points. Cologne's first line is one of the best scoring lines in the league with all of them in the top 10 in points. With Meridius, Preobrazhensky and Mats Zuccarello on the second line, who can produce if their first line is lacking seeing a game or two. Defensively they are not to sleep on, with heavy hitters Ranogajec who have 165 hits and 57 points in 40 games. Don’t forget about their other defenseman Pete and Trenton are also a point per game with 90 shots blocked or more each. In net Protagonist is doing a great job stopping most of the puck directed at him. Now the The Stockholm Vikings, they have a nice roster with players like Matt Avens playing very well with 55 points in 40 games. They have 2 lines and 3 defenseman who produce points on a regular basis. With them upgrading the team even more, adding Colors, Nezuko and Sanderson to the team will give them more depth in the long run. Their goalie situation is okay but not good compared to other teams. The last team in this battle is the Rome Gladiators. The team is producing quite well with 11 players being around 1 point per game, but only 5 players have a decent +/- that means that only their first line and first pairing score more than they let in a goal and every other line or pair let the same amount in that they score. Surprisingly they didn't score a ton of goals. They score a lot of goals, will the team adjust to their first line power house? That’s a question only time will tell. Their goalie situation is not good, not bad they pick up a goalie from Geneva that’s better than a bot I guess. In this battle who is really close and weird I’m inclined to say that Cologne will end up on top, but that fight will be close until the end of the regular season for sure. The middle team is going to be Rome Gladiators and the last one is The Stockholm Vikings. That’s 2 big fights for first place in the standings and the other one for a playoff spot. I don’t think the three other teams have a chance against them but who knows. It’s kinda a long shot but I think Oslo can maybe pass Vasteras in the standings in a bit, here why. Vastera had a great start of the season but are now slowing down. They have Braxton Hunter and Hendrix Cobberson who are the heart of the offense and the majority of the points come from the defenseman. They have 5 players with a +/- positive and the 5 other players having around -16. They have a line and a pair that are playing okay and the other line are not doing great. With Thadhg Byrne in net who have started all the games so far. Oslo Storm now they started not that strong but with the recent trade that brought Yun Chiang in Oslo it changed the face of the franchise. The team is playing better now they found their identity. Alone at the bottom of the standings is the Geneva Rush who have really decided to tank and are trying to build for the future. 1070 words
  6. 1. Heck yeah we deserve it! 2. Houston with that recent trade they are our closest enemies. 3. I would say better and we will play even better know. 4. Vasile Lamb is really tear it up right know so that’s my guess. 5. Peperoni, bacon, green pepper, mushroom and sausages. 6. It don’t belong to pizza, but it’s not bad.
  7. Name: Ragnar Hagstrom Height: 6’5 Weight: 186 LB Nation: Sweden, Uppsala Team: VHLM: Minnesota Storm, Ottawa Lynx. VHLE: Oslo Strom. VHL: Calgary Wranglers. Ragnar Hagstrom draft 23rd overal in the S81 VHL draft by Calgary. What king of defenseman has Calgary selected in the second round. Well let’s analyze his play style and try to answer that questions. He join the VHLM during the start of the season, joining the Minnesota Storm. He did pretty well with the Strom. Starting on the second pairing only robe to be retrograde to the third a couple of games after and finally finish on the first pairing. He adjusted pretty well to any situation. With Minnesota Ragnar Hagstrom have some interesting stats. In 63 games Hagstrom had 82 points with 23 goals. 16 of them are power play goal. With his 35 power play points, a +/- of 42 and 5 games winning goals. Ragnar his good offensive defenseman he play a lot of minutes averaging 21.75 minutes per game and the Minnesota trust him during the power play playing 266 total minutes this past season and 211 during being short handed. This season with Ottawa Lynx Hagstrom played 16 games have 11 goals, 25 points, +/- of 9. He have a more productive pace to the season. Pretty similar to last season he is averaging 21.89 minutes per game. For his power play stats 10 points, 3 goals in 63 minutes in total this season. No points for Hagstrom while short handed only playing 3 minutes in total this season. Ragnar Hagstrom is a great all around players who love to shoot the puck averaging 3.5 shots a game. Offensive menace with or without the puck, he move to control the pace of the game using his speed and puck handling ability. Yes is really good in offense but he doesn’t comprise his game in the defensive zone, he rarely do mistake, he his a smart players who think fast about all his decisions on the ice in a fraction of a seconde. He is rarely on the bench and that’s help the teams a lot. He his a really good defenseman, but like every good players he has some weakness. He is not a physical player he doesn’t like that aspect of hockey and feel like it doesn’t affect that the game if you hit a player or not. If you end up with the puck after a corner fight for it that what matter for him. 417 words
  8. With the first 10 games of the season being played we can see that like last year we have 2 teams leading their conference with Ottawa leading the East conference and Las Vegas leading the West conference. I will compare this two teams and try ,with my best ability, to tell which one is better. First of lets compare the goalies. For Vegas Price is playing really well in9 games played he had 7 wins a .906SV% and a2.53 goals against average. He is definitely one of the reasons why Vegas is doing so well at the moment. His backup Travis Clark is doing pretty good too with his 2 games played being victorious, his SV% of .867 and his goals against average of 3 per match. They are giving a chance to the team to win most of their games. Now the Goalie for Ottawa, they are no clear starter for Ottawa both goalie are doing good with a little advantage to Ed Nu who was the backup goaltender last year behind The Red Menace and the team trust him. Nu in 7 games played has 6 wins a SV% .888 and a goals against average of 2.82 with 1 shutout. He only have 1 lost in all his VHLM career playoff include. The other goalie his Wumbo who had played 5 games and have 5 wins with some impressive stats a SV% of .926 and a goal against average of 1.2. Two really good goalies will share the net for The Lynx this season. I need to give the goalie advantage to Ottawa but it's very slightly over Las Vegas, because Wumbo and Nu can be the starter of most teams. Now the defense, first The Aces, have 6 defenseman with four of them being waivers. With Star who is a recent draft player and Patric Twist in his third season with the team and leading this defensive core. I can see some potential in Pucky McSticks and Mollieraf Kendcruz players if they keep earning TPE. Ottawa Defense is just too good. I already talked about it so I will make this one short and sweet. With their defensemen who are in the top 10 in most of the stats. Now The Aces offense has 5 S81 players between 170 tpe and 130 tpe. They have 13 forwards in total. I don't how they play all of them but they are doing it. With 6 players acquired from waivers and 2 recently drafted players. With Alex TheGreat, Adeline Dell Donne and Julien Bernier leading the charge for the forward. Grits Galvins and Johnny Roberts are the two Rookies to keep an eye on. For the last Ottawa Offense, with 7 players returning, Chicken Nugget the Veteran, Perry Laperriere and Alf Larssson two recreates that know how the league works. They have a lot of good players and can have three good lines that can rival any other first lines. With Vomacka and Lajeunesse leading the offensive charge. That’s why Ottawa is the favorite to win yet again this season. 516 Words
  9. 1. Yes for sure!! we are the best team in the league and their is no one that can stop us! 2. It’s okay wish I could do a bit better but I’m really happy. 3. VHLM: Ottawa VHLE: Istanbul VHL: Moscow 4. What’s a good big cat name. Theo 5. That’s a good question and looking at every players built I think strength, agility would be the most good attribute so my guess would be... Bradley Buzzer. 6. The cup obviously
  10. I was looking at some VHLM rosters and I need to talk about Ottawa's defense four of them including myself are at 197 tpe or more and the lowest having 139 tpe. The first defenseman is Ragnar Hagsrtom with 200 tpe. This player played with Minnesota last season at the beginning of the year and developed into a key part of this organization. He produced 82 points in 63 games last season and he is looking to be even better with Ottawa this season. Ragnar is a great two-way defenseman known for his speed with or without the puck. The second defenseman is Janet Snakehole with 199 tpe. He is in his second year with the team and he had 61 points with 51 being assisted in 72 games. Snakehole is known for his passing, he can see a free player anywhere on the ice and deliver a tape to tape pass to the player. The third defenseman is Matt Live with 197 tpe. He is beginning his third season in the VHLM, a veteran in the league. He is a bit like Hagstrom with more experience, having a last season record a campaign of 74 points in 72 games and was one of the reasons why Ottawa did so well in the S80 playoff accumulating 31 points in 16 games. The fourth defenseman with also 197 tpe was drafted fourth overall in the most recent draft Max Torq. Another good two-way defenseman similar to the others, but Max is a more physical player who loves to lay the body. A great rounded defenseman. The fifth player is at 150 tpe Milan Dvorak was picked 16 overall in the most recent VHLM draft. He is the fifth best defenseman on the team, but can easily play in the top pairing in every other team. A great well balanced defenseman. The sixth defenseman is Calix Pearce with 139 tpe one the Pearce brother. He is a very talented player, a bit more defensive than the other but with a phenomenal first pass to help the forward with a quick pass to counterattack. In my opinion the Ottawa Lynx have the best defensive core between all the teams in the VHLM, no questions about that. All of them can be on the first pairing of most teams. I’m looking forward to what the coach will do with all this talented defenseman on his lines. He definitely has some options for his line and special teams. With Snakehole and Pearce who are pass first players, Snakehole and torq who are physical players and Hagstrom who love to move the puck from his zones to the offensive zone to try to make some plays. All of them are good so I don’t see any situation where that defensive core is not good, but maybe the coach will find some chemistry between some players to help even more that defensive core. Who are the two players who benefit the most with that defensive core, the goalies of course. The first one is Ed Nu, an agile goalie who has a great reflex and is really hard to beat on the glove side. The second one is Wumbo, a hybrid goalie who is really good in all aspects of his game, he maybe doesn't have the flashy glove like Nu, but his technique and positioning is really great. 562 words
  11. 1. San Diego, Philadelphia and Halifax all of them have a great team this season so one of them for sure. 2. Not really, but all the teams is more balance but it’s really depends on picks and waivers claim. 3. focus on our game. Execute the game plan. 4. Im really adjustable, I love to help in the offensive zone but without compromising my position in the defensive zone. 5. That’s a tough question. Damn I think I would choose the last minute penalty. 6. The community for sure everyone is welcoming.
  12. Sadly the Minnesota Storm has been defeated by the Ottawa Lynx in the secours round of the playoff in the VHLM. We talk to defenseman Ragnar Hagstrom and ask him what the future holds for him, how his first season was with the storm and some other subjects. Brad: Hi my name is Brad and I’m working for a local journal and wanted to ask you some questions, is it okay with you? Do you have time to answer? Hagstrom: Yes for sure. It’s the offseason I have all the time needed. Brad: First of all, how are you doing? Hagstrom: I'm doing very well, thanks. Brad: What did you do in the offseason and what expect you to do? Hagstrom: With three drafts coming up, I did a lot of interviews and I feel good about them. Well right after the series versus Ottawa, I did fly back home to Uppsala to take my mind off hockey for a little bit but not that long, because my agent called me and told me that the VHL team and VHLE team wanted to meet me. After that I restarted training with my personal coach. We focused on some aspects of my game like skating, puck handling, stick plays and physical plays. I’m just trying to be a well rounded defenseman for the team that is going to select me in the near future. What is your opinion on the E expansion with your old team the Storm Relocated to Oslo and the Rush going to Geneva? Hagstrom: I am happy for Laine! He did an excellent job with us in Minnesota and I’m sure he is going to have success in the E. For the M it’s good, because the league will be more competitive. In the E it’s also good, I know that the league last season was so close that nobody wanted to trade picks or players. With the addition of these two teams, it’s going to help this league have more options for trades. Brad: Looking forward to the M draft, what do you think you will bring to the team that is going to draft you? Hagstrom: Well I did almost play a full year with Minnesota last season. That’s some experience that will help me this year. I will try to be a great leader, someone who can bring teammates together during difficult times and an all around great player on the ice, Simone who the team can trust in difficult situations during games. Brad: That’s great to hear. Do you have any objective during the next season? Hagstrom: The only objective is to make the playoffs and when we are in the playoff anything can happen. I will do everything in my power to bring my future team there. Brad: Do you have any team in particular that you would like to play for? Hagstrom: I know what you’re trying to do there. Ahah. I’m not going to say any teams names, but I have a list of teams that seem interested in me and would like to play for them. You have a possibility of being drafted to Stockholm who is very close to Uppsala. How would you feel playing there? That would be a dream come true if all my family could see me play and how well I am doing now. Also I could see them more and that is super exciting, but we never know, that’s only a possibility, a possibility that I would love, but it’s not 100% sure. Brad: Thank you for your time Ragnar and I wish you the best of luck in the draft and in your future. Hagstrom: It's my pleasure it’s always a fun time talking with you Brad, see you next time. 629 words
  13. With the Minnesota Storm relocating to Oslo the arena that they used during the season is now sold to a player who played with the team last season. Ragnar Hagstrom is now the new owner of the arena, nobody knows where he found the money to buy the arena, but he has some plans for the arena in the near future. He wants to give back to the city that gave him his chance in the VHLM. He wants to help kids from Minnesota who love hockey and want to play, but don’t necessarily have the money to buy equipment or the money to play a full season on a team. So with the help of now retired player Faddei Sokolov, they started their hockey school to help those kids. The name is Strom and Lov hockey school and they did their first week of lessons this past week. It was a great success Sokolov and Hagstrom became pretty close friends. They join Minnesota almost at the same time, they play in the same pairing for a couple of games and they were roommates when the teams played in other cities. They were very close, but when Sokolov told Hagstrom that he didn’t love to play the game like he used to and wanted to retire after the season. It was really a huge surprise for Hagstrom because Sokolov was a passionate player and after each game he told every mistake and good play we did. When the Storm announced that they relocated to Oslo Sokolov called Hagstom about the hockey school and what he wanted to do for the rest of his life being a coach. So Hagstrom and Sokolov with some help of investors and friends did buy the arena and started this school. Who Sokolov is fully in Hagstrom helps when he has time. 307words
