  1. Each updater needs their own registration code. And we rotate updaters a lot, it would be too costly.
  2. I'm assuming it would come out of our donation funds though if that were the case.
  3. Updating the sim weekly could be done, it just means someone has to buy another copy of STHS. Updating player stats is a full time job too.
  4. Just to clarify when Ying Qin was in the VHLM for the second year I forfeited points to stay and I didn't claim them at a later date. The ruling at the time was "earned tpe", so even if you weren't updated it still counts. But as long as you don't "earn" them (meaning you forfeit and can never recover them), then it satisfies the condition. The distinction is that I didn't hide any of my points or claimed them at later dates, I simply didn't do a training camp and a week of PTs, and it put me under the required amount and I bought free weeks at the store. We included my achievement updates though. While my situation was easily known and remembered, what few of you realize is that I MADE THE VHLM TPE CAP RULE. I enforced it throughout my time as the commish and there were several cases where I went and told a player, they can only stay if they forfeit the points and do not attempt to recover them at a later date. There were actually precedents set before I used it for myself. The only reason why it turned into a big fuss was that I believe Kendrick became the VHLM updater at the time (or whomever was that asked the question and he championed the campaign against me staying), and that updater was not aware that I had already allowed this situation to occur in previous times. Kendrick: Its unfortunate you are still mad at me for the debate surrounding that circumstance, but it might be misplaced, as mentioned just above, I didn't make the exception for just myself. It was used 2-3 times previously already. Though at the end of the day, I didn't actually "profit heavily" from it, it simply wasn't even my intention to anyways. I just didn't want to sit through a season having 10 mins a game and maybe 20-30 points at most. I think my actual "gain" in tpe was like +10/+12. It wasn't overly excessive nor the reasoning behind me wanting to stay in the VHLM. You lose quite a bit of opportunities to gain TPE by skipping Fan 590s, TC + weeks of PT just to stay under 175 if you are an active individual.

  6. Americans Looking to Slaughter the Competition www.VHLHockeyNews.com Manhattan welcomed Tom Slaughter onto the hockey scene this week with rousing cheers as he scored his first VHL goal against the Calgary Wranglers, this goal would be one of two he would score that night and hold up as the game winning goal. In his first of hopefully many star studded performances, Tom Slaughter, finished off a golden opportunity thanks to a strong back check by winger Xin Xie Xiao that allowed the Americans to transition into the offensive zone unimpeded where Connor Low dished off the puck to Slaughter for his first goal off a beautiful one timer. “He’s damn good at everything,” exclaimed XXX, who assisted on the Slaughter goal and currently leads the team with 3 goals. Tom Slaughter, playing on a line with veteran Odin Tordahl and sophomore winger Xin Xie Xiao has 4 points in 4 games to start off his rookie season. As linemates go, Slaughter has one of the best two way players in the game in Tordahl to teach him the ropes and what it takes to be an all star. Playing alongside hard hitting winger XXX, Slaughter has found some chemistry with the other youngster who opens up a tremendous amount of space with his speed and gritty play. The Americans coaching strategy has been to ensure Slaughter gets the right amount of ice time in all situations to slowly protect his development. It was communicated in a clear manner that the team wants Slaughter to play like himself and not try and force him into anything else. The patience seems to be paying off as the Americans are off to a good start, winning three of their first four games. Star winger Odin Tordahl, brought in to provide leadership and accelerate the Americans rebuild, has done just that. Odin leads the team with 5 points and looks to build off a great performance from his previous season with the Dynamo. XXX has been moved to the left wing to accommodate Tordahl on the right win and the hulking power forward has gotten off to a good start, leading the team with 3 goals thus far. There has been much praise for Slaughter already, the term “shades of Jonsson” or “Jonsson 2.0” have already been floating in the media outlets. Certainly big shoes to fill for the young forward who seems to have it all in spades while playing a two hundred foot game. The comparison is there though, drafted by the New York Americans, playing center and having all the skills to be a superstar. Jonsson was draft at #2, Slaughter at #3 and the only difference is that Jonsson landed on a far more barren squad and Slaughter has the luxury right now of having veterans like Tordahl alongside and a young squad that has already tested their mettle at the VHL level. Certainly if Slaughter keeps up the pace, he will have a start better than Jonsson, but will he reach the same heights of stardom? “He’s a really smart player, always in the right place at the right time. He knows how to think the game and its pretty impressive to see how he goes about his business. I’m looking forward to playing with him more for sure and winning.” – XXX, New York Americans
