  1. Ottawa Lynx Press Conference 1. How does it feel to be back in the playoffs? 2. Looking back at the regular season what are you happy with and what are you looking to improve? 3. Prediction on where The Lynx will finish in the Playoffs? 4. Who are you scared of facing in the playoffs? Any team that looks daunting or any team that looks like an easy challenge for The Lynx? 5. We will have to travel for the playoffs. What is your go to snack for traveling? 6. With the Draft coming up soon. Out of all the teams in the VHL and the VHLE, where is the dream place for you to play?
  2. I love it! Thank you for making one for me!
  3. 9 straight wins for Lynx!!
  4. Lately if you have not been noticing the Lynx you should be now. They are hot! climbing the standings fast by currently going on a 5 game winning streak and sliding into 4th overall in the league. In their last two games Daniel Clarke scored 7 goals in just two games! He is on fire! Adison Bond has been closely behind him with assisting 3 goals and scoring 1 himself in just two games. The team has bounced back from have a decent start of the season. The pick ups that have been made by Lynx have been crucial for the team to defend their championship. With just less than 30 games in the season left the Lynx are looking good in securing a spot for the playoffs because of this hot streak that has been going for the team. Spirits are high in the locker room and leadership is charging the way forward for the team with make though decisions that have impacted the play like crazy. Can the Lynx go back to back? It might happen and you want to be in the front row when it does!
  5. 1. I want to see some more goals. I have been focusing on assist but I think we need some more goals to be scored in order for us to clinch a playoff spot and be ready for the big games that are coming. 2. The person that has helped me the most has been @Zack I always feel like I can reach out to him and ask him questions on the league or what I should use the tpe that I have available for use. I also want to become a GM in some time so I have been learning things from them too when they put in line changes and the reasons why are always nice to read. 3. Favorite team is Chicago Phoenix because you always have to rep the home team. 4. The Sign said "show me your butt hole" that is the craziest one that I have seen so far. 5. I will be stopping at CFA as always and I will be getting a chicken sandwich because they are the best, oh and you can not forget the sauce. 6. The coolest name on the team has to be Mikayev Ivanovitch. I also think that Daniel Clarke is a scoring machine at the moment and can't be stopped. Nor do i want him to be stopped because these are the games that we need to win.
  6. 1. Favorite event had to be the Faster skater. I mean watching those people fly is fascinating. 2. RW - Finn Davis C - Me (Adison Bond) LW - Elias Dahlberg D - David Kiaskov D - Matty Live G - Elliott 3. I think we ride it out. We have been playing good so far and our only issue I think is the defense at moment is not performing well in the last few game but I think it can be changed. 4. knowing that we can take over the game with just a reaction to a play or a mistake that the team that we are playing vs. 5. I think it should bring more fan to the game therefore its harder to play as an away team and we will get an advantage before the game even starts. 6. Gatorade like most people. But I have been liking some of the Body Armor stuff that has been coming out. Also if I need a little boost put some MTN DEW in there and I am going light speed. The speed competition wouldn't know what hit them.
  7. 1. I have learned that it is not always about winning. Sometimes you will lose game but you can learn from them and make adjustments to the team to make them better in the long run 2. I think it is the culture that the locker room has built and is helping everyone with builds and ideas of topics. Very supportive! 3. I think we need some more Defense. With our latest lost we gave up a lot of goals and could probably be fixed with some tweaking of roles that are being played. 4. My player has not met any famous people buy hopes too soon. 5. Lacrosse. I played lacrosse most of my life and still keep up with it. 6. Budget everything. Also make sure to have emergency cash that you can get at anytime. This has saved me sometimes.
  8. Firstly I want to say this league has a lot of amazing players and I don't want to offend anyone that I don't pick but I am going to base my Dream Team off of stats. The reason why is because I am new to the league and was not able to see all these amazing players in action and what value they brought to their team. With that being said... My first player is Unassisted. Having played 576 games in the VHL they managed to achieve 402 Goals, 483 Assist, 885 Points which has them 9th in total points, 3860 Shots, and a +527 +/- throughout their career. Which makes them 2nd in all time +/- just behind the man that has the MVP trophy named after him Scotty Campbell. Having Unassisted on my Dream Team is amazing because they are consistent and considered one of the best players to play the game. Second Player will be Matt Bailey. 7 time All Star standing at a resounding 6'5". Matt Bailey was the best two-way player that the VHL has seen. 2nd in assist all time just behind Scotty Campbell. 2nd most games played all time with 720 games. 3rd in all time Points scored with 944 which is 30 points ahead of the player behind them. Well said in his HOF induction post "Matt Bailey is the Bryan Trottier of the VHL." This sums Bailey up perfectly he was the player that could play all around the floor and a Coach could always count on him to show up and be ready to play. That is what makes Bailey a player that every coach wants. Lastly to round out the Forwards I am picking Matt Thompson ( @Beketov ). Also standing at 6'5". Played 576 games in his career having scored 422 goals, 403 assist, scoring 825 points which is 22nd all time. And having +214 +/- over his career, starting off with a nice -69 in his rookie season. Thompson was the player that newcomers wanted to be a great player who was well respected around the league because of his high goals set for himself made everyone in the league strive for better. He was dominant leaving people in his rear view mirror "Tommy Gun" always had one goal and that was to win. Winning over 18 awards throughout his career. Thompson is the poster child when people want to become the best. To start off the Defensive position Jeff Downey ( @JeffD ). Like others Downey was standing at 6'4". Downey was a loyal player too the Vancouver Wolves, playing 7 seasons with them and bringing 2 Victory Cups and 1 Continental Cup in S74. What makes Downey a player on my Dream Team is the leadership that he possesses. This is important because Downey was able to bring the Wolves back from having a terrible season by staying loyal to the team and trusting the process. Since Downey trusted the head office of the Wolves he stepped into a leadership role since he began his career with the Wolves. This allowed Downey to rely on a youngster core to bring the Wolves a Continental Cup victory in S74. That is what makes Downey valuable. The loyalty Downey showed throughout his career is why I want him on my Dream Team. The second player on my Dream Team roster is going to be Black Velvet. ( @Higgins) What can't you say about Velvet the awards and competitions that he has managed to collect are insane! A once in a generation talent that changed the game and how it was viewed Velvet is a five time Continental Cup Champion, two time World Cup Gold medalist and one Bronze medal. Made the Hall Of Fame on his first ballot which is unreal to do. Played 8 seasons in the VHL is one of the best defensive players the VHL has seen and one of the most successful. and the most important position of all Goalie Brick Wahl II. The career that Wahl had is like no other goalie. Playing 938 games with a 525-339 record 64% wr, with a 0.919 SV%. 8 Seasons in the VHL allowed Wahl to pick up not as many awards that his career may have called for but 5 awards in one season is crazy. He will be able to be my rock for the team I just need him to last in the goal and be a brick wall. Now I think my Dream Team will change as the time goes and I get to meet more people and develop relations with others but this is it. I hope my team can give others a run for their money!
  9. The day came that @Daniel Jansertexted my line and asked "I have a team that shows interest in acquiring you in a trade. Would you be ok to be traded? It would be to the Ottawa Lynx who at the moment are on a playoff spot." I took a second. Was I actually being traded at a time like this. The team was coming off of a 1-1 double header week vs Miami Marauders with one huge 7 to 1 loss and a 4 to 3 win. I thought I was playing well with the situation that I was in. in the second game I was able to get an assist and capture 11:46 MP. Although the team was struggling I was hopeful a little COPIUM was flowing through me. I thought "We can get out of this. Everyone is active and talking in the locker room. Making changes to each other and asking for advice. It's possible right?" Even before the recent win morale was high. I was named an Assistant Captain for the team which was an Honor to be selected among my teammates voting. I was leading the Hounds in Bone of Destiny! But at the end of the day the goal is to win and become better as a player. It's my first season change happens and it was starting to happen to me. I replied to Mr. Janser with a soft message saying "if it helps out the team then, yeah." I have seen Janser has been making trades trying to rebuild the team throughout the season with several teammates like the Portuguese Wonder (Leandro Goncalves). New signings were joining and the Hounds were starting to look like a new team. But more change was to come. Minutes after replying to Janser I received a message back saying "so we hope, thanks for your understanding." At this point I was certain that the trade was going to go through. The decision has been made and the offer was on the table I just had to wait for a response from Ottawa. The time was ticking. Thoughts in my head were going "Am I going to be a starter? I have to give up my role in the team..." Now thinking about Ottawa they were one of the many teams that were recruiting me, they offered 2nd/3rd line time. While time has gone my hope was still lingering. I check my phone and the trade has gone through. A team announcement has been made about the trade consisting of myself (Adison Bond), Jesse Markov, Mean Machine for S83 OTT 3rd, S83 MIA 4th, and S83 OTT 7th. "Wow it happened" I said. Quickly I checked my messages and I got a new one from the Ottawa GM @Zack saying "Hello I know you didn't pick us at the start but I know you will be a star and we need someone to be on the 1st line here!" Seeing that I was in awe. They believe that I will be a star for his team even though I didn't pick to join them when I was being recruited. But reading more I noticed he said they need someone to be on the 1st line and that person is me! Everything that I hoped for came true I was able to get even better time on the ice. After looking over every event that happened since I have joined the league I couldn't be happier with how things are turning out. From going in as a Free Agent to joining the Hounds and becoming an Assistant Captain. TO then getting traded to a team that has playoff potential. You could say being on the Hounds was a bad choice but I took the risk and made some friends along the way because once a Hound always a Hound.
  10. 4 Game losing streak since this article. Seems like they can be stopped!
  11. 16 year old slap-shot specialist Adison Bond grew up in sunny Florida of all places and grew up playing Lacrosse and Hockey all his Life. Although Hockey in Florida is rare as a sport to pick to play as a youngster Bond kept with it all because of a Coach that he had when he was younger. That coach taught him life lessons while teaching Bond how to play Lacrosse. For years the development of Lacrosse was taking off to new levels but Bond still had a void in his life that wasn't fulfilled. For years Bond was told of how similar Lacrosse was to Hockey so one winter when the season was down Bond decided to try out Hockey. Lacing up the skates for the first time felt right for him. Bond joined the Youth Team for his local Professional team which was the Florida Panthers. While going out on the ice was new Bond seemed to have learned the ropes quickly, Bond became a fast skater and developing great skills with taking shots and passing. Because Bond was new to Hockey, new challenges emerged. For a long time Bond didn't understand the flow of the game but that changed when he attended a Florida Panthers game. Since Bond played for the Youth team he got to see all the behind the scenes of being a Pro. Seeing Professionals play the game unlocked a natural knowledge for Bond. After Bond witnessed the level of play that Pros are at it only made Bond want to learn more about the game. Bond took what he saw and developed controlling the game. Being a Center Bond had all the control in the game. Which is what set a flame to his passion for the game. Finally being in control was all that Bond was chasing. His game grew out of hand for his level of play and soon realized that if Bond wanted to play in the next level he would have to find competition that was on his level or better. Therefore, Bond signed up for the VHLM and was approached by many teams like The Las Vegas Aces, Ottawa Lynx, Miami Marauders, and more. But none of those teams interested him. Until the Mississauga Hounds came into the picture and Bond was hooked. Being apart of a team that was rebuilding was the perfect team for Bond. Bond would be able to be apart of the core team and make an impact out on the ice, while getting the experience of playing at one of the highest levels. With that being said Bond is proud to be apart of the pack and will always be a Hound. #releasethehounds
  12. 1. I think we could be better but I believe that some of our game we have been unlucky in certain situations. Hopefully we can start winning and working on our team. 2. I feel good so far, my player was recently elected as a alternative captain. Also my player is leading our team in goals which is a good start to the season as to I am contributing to the team. 3. I would give it a 9/10. My team has been very helpful so far with any questions that I have regarding the league and with how I should create my player to be which is what I wanted when I signed up to be in the pack. 4. My favorite movie/series has to be Black Clover which is an Anime and has a Movie coming out soon. Highly recommend! 5. Favorite sport recently has been F1, but I have played lacrosse all my life so its between the two. 6. I think the locker room chemistry is good people are talking every day from a wide variety of topics. That is one thing that the pack has down is the chemistry is there we just have to start winning.
  13. 1. I see us progressing well and becoming a top team since we are rebuilding but got off to a good start. 2. I like the management. They are new and so am I so it's been nice to have them there helping me with my build or if I have a question about the league 3. I still don't have a plan but I think I wanna be a passer first and focus on getting assist and winning games. 4. I like to be on the underdawgs or the team that is rebuilding. It gives me a chance to grow my player into a well rounded rookie and make sure that I am getting playing time. 5. has to be Tom Brady. Growing up a Patriots fan I was always looking at the GOAT. 6. I wanna reach above 100 this season and if I am able to do that I will be happy with how my player has grown.
  14. Missisauga Hounds press conference 1. For the team to go into rebuild phase it is a great opportunity for me. I think with joining a team that is going to be focusing on developing players first to recreate the magic that the Hounds had is why I joined 2. I just joined so I don't have any immediate plans for the future but as many people who join the league my first far fetch goal is to make it to the majors as anyone would. 3. My favorite thing about VHL is the player creation and how to update the players attributes. Coming from a different sim league I was amazed by the dashboard and all of the features that the VHL has to offer when first creating a player and when updates are being made the the player. 4. I just joined so I don't have an opinion on the recent moves that happened in management. 5. I like to play video games like league, COD, Football Manager, etc. I also love to program. I currently am working on a personal project of which will include a news outlet for esports. 6. I hope to meet cool people and build a player that I am proud of. While also learning about the learn and how to progress my player to be the best.
  15. #releasethehounds lets get building!!
