Moscow, Russia - The promising Swiss winger Maverick Goncalves has already achieved something his father and aunt took eight and four seasons, respectively, to do. Hitting the 100-point mark in a season isn't common in the VHL, even more so for someone playing their second season in the league. But Maverick isn't just another player in the VHL, and that's starting to show as the young player helps the Menace in their massive task of obliterating their competition this season. Alongside his aunt, a bonafide 100-point scorer who's taking a step back from that role to a more laid-back, secondary scoring role, Jarmo Ruutu, the incumbent Alexander Beketov Trophy holder, is showing he can do more than pass, George Richmond, amid their breakout season, David Rashford, who does nothing more than lead, and fellow draftee Jillian Woods, who is creating the same waves around her. This team is a juggernaut, and Maverick may not have the attention a 100+ point scorer normally would, but none of his teammates do, and that's okay for this squad. It's team over individual while the season is on, and with most of the team playing without a contract for the next, some might likely find that attention in Free Agency.

This season's "Theme Week" theme caught me by surprise. Not only did Beketov make another VHLE joke, but at the same time, had created one of those scenarios where you're immediately disappointed with the outcome of a situation you thought had been taken care of. The VHLE would, without a doubt, have been an easier theme to write about this week. Not only has the league ceased to exist this season, but I was fond of it and would have quite a lot to write about. But instead... "Lore." My first thought was, "What the fuck?" As time passed, I couldn't answer the easiest question. Which interrogative pronouns should I use? "What" should I explore or write a story about. About "when" should my story be written? Or "who" should be the subject of my theme week ramblings. As you might have noticed already, although I'm still exploring the theme, I've been meticulously wandering around the tile, not necessarily in circles, since some might even say I haven't moved from the starting point. Although, I feel differently. Much like the Conor McDavid of VHL words, I've been zigging and zagging around the start of this story for almost half of the planned duration of this Media Spot. By now, Grammarly wants to beat me up and is giving me harsh feedback and the lowest "engagement" score I've seen until now. I wish I had Pro. Anyway, Calgary's Locker Room is a fantastic place to be. I would go so far as to say that it is one of the best places to hang out, if not the best, which by itself could be misconstrued as VHL lore itself, but that's not why I brought it up. Instead, one of the usual suspects around said Locker Room gave me the idea of what I'm about to write under 200 words about. Who is the best "Lore", "lore", "-Lore" or "-lore" in the VHL? We have three candidates. Florent Vericel, Lorenzo Cobberson, and Bartholomew Lorequavius. Florent Vericel loses this battle almost automatically, since not only does Florent have the lowest TPE total of the three, but more importantly, does not have a capital "L" in his lore. This leaves us with two candidates, Lorenzo and Lorequavius. Lorenzo. Which feelings does that name bring out in you? It's familiar and smooth, classic and refined. It's surrounded by elegance and historical ties such as the Magnificent, Lorenzo de' Medici. Lorequavius, on the other hand, is unique, creative, and unforgettable. Much like a Key & Peele sketch, it could become so grand that a cult following is created behind it. So what is the verdict? How can you gauge the sheer "lore" of these characters? If you evaluate it through a modern scope, Lorenzo might take the crown with his classic and versatile approach. But should you be looking for something epic, with a unique presence, Lorequavius would be the clear winner. In the end, there's only one way to know... and Lorenzo has two Renaissance Cups with the Cologne Express of the VHLE, so that's our winner. CHOO CHOO & Goodbye VHLE!

Thank you for pointing that out! That specific cell didn't have the formula put in due to a manual correction made in Season 91. @Gaikoku-hito, this is corrected. The other season in which we had a 15th group was S94, and this mistake was present, affecting @Hogan. With this correction, he jumps from 5th to 1st in his S94 group. His 50% payout reduction would allow him to claim 3 TPE, two more than he claimed. Due to this: @Hogan can claim this comment for 2 TPE.
