In order to continue to earn TPE, I have to come up with something else to write.  This shit has been going on for too long!  I’m running out of things to make up, say, or even write about.  Everytime I bitch about it to @Scurvy, he says we should do a podcast, but that’s as far as it goes.  I’ve tried to mumble my way with podcasts and for someone as tarded as I am, its not easy.  Other podcasters like @Spartan , @JardyB10, @MubbleFubbles,  even @Berocka, make it sound so easy.  And then my most recent attempts to earn tpe were coming up with stupid logic puzzles, which took hours to make work, and only get me one week of tpe.  Although the first one, I managed to do two puzzles and get two weeks out of.  And with all that work, I could see that the puzzles were easier than shit.  But hey, I got my tpe!
 
So this work today is not to discuss anything in particular like, why the hell is Rip Wheeler, @ScottyP, doing so shitty.  Or could it be just that?  Maybe this will be a bitch session so that I can come up with enough words to earn my tpe.  I mean, come on scottyp, what the hell are you doing?  I know, I know, “I do what I do.”  Well, scottyp, you can only live by that motto for so long.  How do you expect your team to get anywhere with a gangly ass long armed winger like you claiming welfare every week.  Come on!  Scurvy should be kicking you in the balls every day until you change your ways.  It would be a self correcting problem.
 
Let’s get real Rip, you got so lucky getting drafted as high as you got, and that was only because of Scurvy’s reputation in the league.  He stuck his leg out for you and the best you can do is welfare?  I was hopeful when you spent some time in in Oslo, given the quality of GM in @JB123.  And then when you were traded to Calgary, I saw some hope in you finally making it to the big league before Brian Payne and Jake Thunder retire.  While I was looking for your early season stats on Oslo, I found out you bumped up to the VHL.  I will say this to you Rip Wheeler, @Ricer13 has given you a gift.  Now it’s up to you to show that you deserve to be in the VHL.  You can’t say, “I do what I do,” and expect to get a pass in the VHL.  Especially on Calgary.  You’re on a team that wins.  Are you going to contribute or are you going to be a wall flower?  To rip you even more Rip, you’re on the first line with two of the best forwards in the league, Landon Wolanin and Daniel Janser.  How much easier could it get for you to contribute to the team?
 
Now, to end this on a high note for you Rip Wheeler, there is a chance for you today to fight Jake Thunder and at least be able to talk some serious shit at work, if you win!  Considering the game between Calgary and Vancouver earlier this season, you had the chance to fight Brian Payne, but the it appears that both Rip and Brian were afraid to match up because the only fight in that game was between two bots.  You will have multiple opportunities to drop the gloves this season Rip, so make it happen!  Love you buddy!!

Welcome everyone,
 
We are back and the regular season finally started a couple of days ago. Before the season, the team management of the Rome Gladiators announce the leadership group of the Gladiators for the S89. Back from S88, BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson @JardyB10 is going to lead the team and again wear the letter "C" on his jersey. Just like the captain, Hannibal Barca @DreMin15 is going to have a letter on his jersey for the second consecutive season. After being a really important player for Rome last season, Matthew McCagg @Jack kidd is also going to be an alternate to the captain. Finally, the rookie Pope Francis @nurx is going to be the last assistant. For this season's Golden Rings, they will be given each 8 games. So, for the first Golden Ring, the winners are BjorkaBjorn (5g, 5a), Hannibal (4g, 6a), Pope (3g, 7a) and Matthew (0,943%).

Congratulations to the Rome Gladiators who came back from a disastrous S87, which saw them dead-last in the league, to finish fourth in the league with 82 points, come back from losing the first play-in game to advancing to a league record 5th Renaissance Cup Final!
 
And, of course, the biggest congratulations to the S88 Renaissance Cup winners, the Oslo Storm ! This team entered the playoffs with the third-best record in the regular season and by making the Final for the fourth consecutive season in a row, broke a tie with Rome, who they beat in the Final this year, to set a league record for consecutive Cup Finals appearances. They also extended their league record as the only VHLE team to have won more than one Cup as they now have three. They made a blockbuster trade to acquire key contributors Alexander Stroheim (led the team in playoff scoring) @Stroheim, Nagy AL (led team defense in playoff scoring) @bigAL, and Wiley Blanchette (played every minute in net during the playoffs) @Wiley. The Cup-winning goal was scored at 16:42 in the third period by 30-goal scorer, Swinsola @Swinsola, who, up until the final game, had only registered one goal and one assist in the playoffs. What a way to end your season!
 
Also, a quick congratulations to Oslo players Jordan Bennett @Plate, Nagy AL @bigAL, and Adeline Delle Donne @Dtayl for becoming the 10th, 11th, and 12th players in VHLE history to win multiple Renaissance Cups.

First off, congratulations to the top team in the S88 regular season, the Geneva Rush ! They led the league with a 45-18-9 campaign for 99 points. They also led the league by the slimmest of margins in Goals For (236) and Goals Against (188).

I'd like to see the league, especially the blues, give more of a shit about the VHLE before seeing stuff like this. It's been TEN fucking seasons and the VHLE STILL isn't in the Hall of Fame. No records. No award history. No banners. No stats. NOTHING. There is nothing to suggest that this league even exists in far of the grand scheme of the history of the VHLE.
 
Does it change anything about scouting? No. But I think it's pretty fucking hilarious that people are getting mad about a lack of effort from the VHLE when that's precisely what has been given to it from the top down since the beginning. 
 
Make the VHLE worth giving a shit about.

Hello, it's me again!
 
Earlier this offseason, @Gustav  and I announced a rule change that redefined an "active" player in the VHLM. At the time, we had a few other rule changes being discussed that needed further deliberation and fleshing out. We're now ready to announce two more changes this offseason:
 
Regulating VHLM Player Retirement and Subsequent Re-Creation
 
Recently, the VHLM has seen a few instances of a VHLM player retiring and then subsequently recreating with a new player. The VHLM currently does not have any rules that cover this area, but we have encountered situations that do not follow our expected competitive integrity for the VHLM. We are adding the following rules to the rulebook:
 
 
Capping VHLM Player Career Lengths
 
For as long as I've been in the VHL, I can remember a career VHLM player existing at some point or the other. There's various valid reasons that a user could prefer to stay in the VHLM for longer than the typical 1-3 season period - some of which we're very proud of. Great team cultures, friendly environments, and user comfort are all reasons that users tend to hang out or revisit their old VHLM stomping grounds.
 
However, it's been apparent over time that VHLM "lifers" pose their own issues to the league. Certain teams often receive 5+ seasons out of a single player, showing a lack of competitive integrity (yes, still important in a development league to prevent abuse of rules). In addition, high TPE lifers are taking valuable minutes away from the targeted demographic of the VHLM - the new users and players. In order to prevent abuse of the lack of rules surrounding these areas, the VHLM is taking a step alongside the VHLE to make a shift to VHLM and VHLE eligibility.
 
Currently, a VHLM player will remain in the VHLM until they cross 200 TPE at an offseason cutoff (or spend over 200 TPA after an offseason cutoff). We are hereby instituting a 4 post-VHL Draft season maximum - any active player at or under 200 TPE after their 4th post-VHL Draft season will then be moved up to the VHLE where they will follow the appropriate VHLE procedures for Free Agency. 4 post-draft seasons were chosen as they would typically signify the completion of the standard 3 season rights period after being drafted with 1 or 2 buffer FA seasons for any edge cases. This should allow the majority of the VHLM population to graduate naturally without any issues.
 
These changes will go into effect immediately - any VHLM player in the S85 class or older will be moved to the VHLE.
