As the top EU team, London United are enjoying a few days of rest before the wild card round is finished. And the retirement home of a team sure as hell needs it. Wann Kerr is using the days off to watch his adoptive son Alagsantere Grønvold play his first VHLM playoff games and to cheer...against him? In his VHLM days with the Las Vegas Aces, Kerr didn't hold back his distaste for the Mexico City Kings, saying he hated playing against the same players over and over and over again, he hated crossing the border ("for...reasons"—Kerr's's words), and he hated Mexican cuisine ("it looks like sick with heese"—Kerr's's words). In the end, his Aces beat the Kings in the semifinals (only to lose to the Philadelphia Reapers in the finals). There were reports about Kerr being let in the Kings' locker room and chirping the team. "Yeah, we don't pay attention to him," said Grønvold when asked about this. "He's just butthurt that he didn't win the Founders Cup. He won't do s***. I mean, look at him; he's like 4 feet tall. We can just grab him and defenestrate him. Yeah, you know what? I hope I'm drafted by Seattle and I split my career between Seattle, Helsinki, and Malmö!" Grønvold added. So far, neither Grønvold nor Mexico City seem fazed by Kerr's attempt at demoralization, as they're up 3-1 against Houston, and Grønvold has already recorded 4 assists in 4 games.

jk, if Grønvold goes in the first half of the 1st, I'm cartwheeling haha. Fantastic read Sadie! 8th would be the 1st half of the 1st in the VHL, not the M, I'm dumb. But I'm still half sleeping lol -

1. Grønvold is on keto diet, he munches on nuts and sunflower seeds before the games, all the delicious fats keep him going for 30 minutes a night. 2. I have the feeling he's into dark green, and it's not just because of the name and birth place. 3. He loves fish and seafood. On cheat days, he still mostly eats these, but have them battered and deep fried and eat them with sriracha mayo. 4. His home made electrolyte drink. It's water with stevia, salt, some magnesium and a few slices of lemon. 5. The ones when he doesn't play hockey! 6. Be drafted by a VHLM team! Other than that, he's planningto do some hiking in B.C. -
Hope to see your player's bio! Hello and welcome!

Is he still kidnapping LVA players and replacing them with bots?

King is great imo. But the whole Dark Tower series is sort of out of character for him. Not my favorite. But man, I love me some Shining (one of my favorite books period), Needful Things or Desperation. I must say I haven't read a King (or Richard Bachman lol) book I would dislike. I've read a few meh ones, but none that I wouldn't finish.

That sounds like the hardest part!

Alagsantere Grønvold (alt. spelling: Groenvold) is one of the latest standouts from the Greenland Youth Academy and one of the two Greenlanders recently joining the VHLM. You can find more information about Grønvold, where he comes from, and who he is in the following interview. Hello Alagsantere, happy to have you here. "Hello, and thank you for your invitation. Just call me Santy; it may save us some time." Alright, Santy, let's get started. Tell us a little bit about your family and where you come from. "No problem. I was born in Paamiut. It's a really secluded harbor town in southwestern Greenland. It is so secluded, in fact, that there are no roads leading there. You can sail there via the Arctic Umiaq Line, or you can fly to Nuuk; the flight takes about 40 minutes. I never knew my mother; sadly, she passed away when I was born. I never knew her parents, either. I grew up with my father. He was a fisherman and a seal hunter, just like pretty much everyone in Paamiut. You can't do much more there. So naturally, my paternal grandparents were of the same trade." I'm sorry about your loss. Paamiut sounds like…quite a place. I hope it's not too sensitive of a topic, but I've heard you were raised by adoptive parents; would you be willing to share how this came to pass? "Yes, Paamiut is definitely one of the places in the world. Just say it; it's a s***hole. It's alright. I was 7 years old when my father’s fishing boat didn't come back. One of his crewmates was later found on an emergency raft. According to his testimony, the Kraken had sunk my father's ship. I know it's not the only ship it has sunk. That's why I'm starting to study cryptozoology remotely. After I'm done with my hockey career, I'm going to find the Kraken. And I'm going to hunt it down. Anyway, my grandparents were too poor to take care of me, so I ended up in the Nuuk orphanage. Wann Kerr and his Polish wife Marzena then adopted me because dad is shooting blanks. Hey, those are mom’s words! So I moved to Vancouver to live with them." Those are interesting pieces of information about some VHL players. Maybe more than we needed, but thanks for sharing anyway! What was growing up in Vancouver like, compared to Paamiut? "I don't remember that much from my early childhood. But you can imagine that those are two completely different worlds. Obviously, the biggest changes for me were having two parents and the language. I had to learn English pretty quickly. In Paamiut, I would always go to my grandparents after school, play with some toys, and wait for my father to pick me up. Then I'd go to bed. In Vancouver, suddenly, a whole new world of possibilities opened. Videogames? Internet? Movies? Sports? You name it. It was pretty overwhelming at first. But kids are good at handling changes, I guess." I can only imagine what a change it must have been. You mentioned sport; were you always drawn to hockey, or is your interest in hockey your adoptive father’s doing? "Kind of both. I was a really athletic kid, going to the gym or going swimming after school pretty much every day, going running with my mom every morning, stuff like that. But I wasn't really into team sports. Sure, I would go to my dad’s home game every now and then—when he was playing in Vancouver—and I liked the speed of hockey. But I couldn't see myself playing it. And then Brian Payne joined the Wolves. The combination of speed and the utter violence in his game fascinated me. You know, my dad is soft. I guess I just needed to watch a tougher player closely to realize that's what I wanted to do. A season after Brian joined the Wolves, I joined the BC Bulldogs." But as far as I know, you're coming here from the Greenland Youth Academy, not from a Canadian bantam league. So what has been your hockey journey like so far? "Well, it's been hard for me to play the bantam. I said I fell in love with hockey after watching Brian Payne destroy his opponents. Well, the coaches in youth hockey do a great job discouraging physicality. They just don't want a bunch of literal kids beating the hell out of each other. I was trying to model my game after Brian, which didn't sit well with them. I was getting benched or ejected from games all the time. It led to fights with coaches and eventually to me being cut from the team, and no other team would let me join them with such a reputation. So instead, dad signed me up at the Greenland Youth Academy. As a kid, I didn't even know they played hockey in Nuuk! But apparently, it's been one of the best development programs in the world lately. During my 4 years, I saw players like Løvstrøm, Thorvaldsson, or Tano graduate. It was really difficult progress, but eventually Youre Not Fucking Retiring and I rose to the top of our class, and here we are." I must say I am mighty impressed. Most of the players here have played hockey since elementary school, but you were able to get to this level with only—if I'm counting properly—6 years of development. That's quite something. Unfortunately, that's all we have time for. So thank you for your time, and I wish you good luck in the draft and a lot of success in your career! "Thank you! I certainly hope my career will be more successful than my dad's; I wouldn't hear the end of it otherwise!"

1. We're first now, but Saskatoon is just one point behind, and we haven't been great lately. In this moment, I'd say it's a coin flip between these two teams. But I can't see us falling lower than second. 2. Miami is one point in front of us, and Saskatoon is one point behind us. We're not finishing first, but things would have to go really bad for us to finish below fourth. 3. I think Samsayz is going to go off and take the team lead. But I might be biased; of course I want to see a fellow defender tear it up! 4. It's only natural that our biggest hitter and the most physical player gets the most penalty minutes. My vote is Carl. But next year it's probably going to be Grønvold, no matter what team hr ends up in. 5. Of course, just like the ones that will follow! 6. What is it now? 42-14-7 for 91 points in 63 games? I'm saying we're winning 6 and only losing 2 in regulation, so 48-16-8 for 104 points. -
Why hasn't Grønvold played a game yet?

Just like your pfp, right? Hey, Grønvold is point per game in his first sim! -
The Mexico City Kings were able to secure the services of one of the latest Greenland Youth Academy standouts, Alagsantere Grønvold. The towering, smooth-skating defender will remain with the team until the conclusion of the S94 postseason; he will then enter the VHLM draft. While the Kings are certainly thrilled to add a fourth defenseman to their lineup to help them follow up their stellar regular season with a Founders Cup playoff run, the process has been anything but easy with Grønvold. First, there were problems with Grønvold's draft eligibility due to a paperwork mistake. Originally, the league listed Grønvold as a S95 VHL entry draft-eligible prospect, which would mean a year of development mostly lost for the Greenlander. While his game is really mature for his age, it's only fair that the league management immediately fixed the error upon being notified. However, this was not the end of the hurdles on Grønvold's road to Mexico. A major setback came to light right before putting pen to paper: Abel Lend, Grønvold's agent, had secured a work visa for the USA, not Mexico. By the time other waiver players who joined the league the same day Grønvold did already have 3-4 games under their belt, the Greenlander has yet to suit up for the Kings. According to our sources, he should be able to join the team's upcoming game against Ottawa. Grønvold's statement is not suitable to be shared because of the use of strong language, but I'm sure you can imagine it included strong displeasure and promises of firing Mr. Lend.
