So I am officially the first player since S58 with over half the Slobo votes to not win the Campbell while on a playoff team. On a team with at least 2 other MVP caliber players to Lovstrom's zero. On a team with a better defense than offense. But that's all okay. The goalie of the best team defense since S69 btw. Only missed their mark by like 6 GAs.

I mean, as someone who's had both parents go to rehab, I get this sentiment. But the drugs to which I speak are legal most places now, and don't really have many downsides unless you are operating heavy machinery or a motor vehicle. Any other non prescribed drugs are clearly bad.

In order of my priority I weigh goalie stats like so SV% GAA Shutout % (better than purely tracking Shutouts) Point % (better than wins IMO)

You know as well as I do, those Wins have more to do with having the 8th ranked offense than OCO

To be fair, OCO also played 9 and 12 less games than Mac and LaFleur respectively. As percentages: LaFleur had a 23.6% chance of a Shutout. Mac had a 20.3% chance of a Shutout. OCO had an 18.3% chance of a Shutout. So while he was behind them in that regard, not so far that the voters should have ignored his leads in more directly influence categories like GAA and SV%.

Yeah I mean, like 1oa (Copia), and a lotto first, and two additional picks (one is Bazooka), and Hater, Middle, Shaw, Bachmann feels like a good place to be. People tend to judge welfare prospects but like, you can't have 10 max earners, I feel like having those good-build, low-earners that just fill out depth well is also important.

I think going G as a first gen is a lot more forgiving to to how straight forward the attributes are. But it's just like, "oh got 8 TPE, slam that in RB, HS, RT, or SC" there is no puzzle of how to maximize, that's solved. Sure there is a meta with Skaters, but the tweaking of a build to squeeze an extra SK for 2 less TPE I find very fun and you just can't do it with goalies.

It's amazing how many people donated so much! I'm glad y'all could find a decently priced vet and can finally get some answers. I'm pulling for your little family there Bana! And thank you for restoring a bit of my faith in humanity, we still generally suck usually, but today we suck just a little less collectively, and that's an awesome thing!

Overall, I think Malmo despite leaving value on the table in a couple trades came away really really good in the offseason.

I might be confused by what you mean by slack, but to me slack is like room to breathe, like if people didn't react but they should have? I think what they got was an odd amount of flak for it. And all of the flak was on the basis of us collectively saying that team could have stayed pat and been top 3 in the EU with a couple of tweaks to the roster and be competitive. Instead they sell, but that didn't mean any less that they could have stayed put and been an okay team in the playoff mix.
