  1. Maybe. Maybe it won't be a livestream but rather I just upload a video of it. I've never done such a thing as recorded my screen but I'm sure it would be a simple thing to figure out. There is really little motivation for me to do it, but if anyone would be interested in seeing the process I go through I'd be willing to. Perhaps there are people out there who have the knowledge to make it go even faster. The regular season stats that I just updated took a little over an hour to do. Playoff stats won't take as long because there are fewer players, but it'll essentially be the same thing (except I won't also be copying the active players into an active stats spreadsheet). I won't be here updating career stats forever. I know Mike tried for a season or two while I was gone for a moment in time, but that didn't last. I don't know what you people know. I'm sure there are some of you out there who could do it just fine, but if I get it out there how I do it, then perhaps someone else can take over when I'm done. If not, I'll probably end up showing up ever few seasons or so to just update the stats for you guys, but don't count on that. Of course, I'm still here and so this is all moot for a few seasons yet.
  2. Wingate will win and he would win even if the stats were reversed.
  3. Wranglaers Vikings Wranglers Dynaom
  4. I originally didn't have that in there but I rewrote the sentence to make it fit.
  5. Dammit Chris you were supposed to start NYA G against us. It was in your interest for Cologne to lose the bye!
  6. Vikings emphatically evens season series with Cologne In their final 12 games of the season, the Vikings were scheduled to face the Express five times. Stockholm won the first of those games 3-2, and the teams would have to play a few more games before they saw each other again. Cologne won five games after that loss before meeting up against with Stockholm, while the Vikings dropped a game to Davos. With four consecutive games to play against each other, either team was in a position to send themselves straight to the Conference Finals. The Express won the first game in a shootout after neither team could add to their two first-period goals as the goalies performed well after lackluster starts for both Blake Campbell and Brock Waldron. The second game was another close one, this time ending in regulation. It was still the Express who came out ahead on the strength of two goals by former Viking Tyrone Williams. For Cologne, one more Victory over Stockholm would clinch a first-round playoff bye. Tyrone Williams scored a pair of goals to beat his former team. Their next meeting saw an explosion of offense. The Vikings came out strong, scoring three times in the opening ten minutes. Although the Express did score four goals, they were never able to even up the score as Stockholm continuously answered. In total, the Vikings scored eight goals, with six different players putting at least one past Waldron. Severin von Karma was the only multi-goal scorer, netting the first hat trick of his career, earning him the first star. This game was a demonstration of the Vikings depth beyond their big name stars; Shadhu Rathod Jr. and Prince Gigga-Bijou each had four points in the game. Meanwhile for Cologne, no one outside of their trio of star forwards (Thomas O'Malley, Bismarck Koenig, and Christoph Klose) had any points. In their final matchup before a potential playoff series, the Vikings got going quickly once again; the first goal of the game was recorded six seconds in. This time, it was more of the usual suspects who led the charge, with Lord Karnage scoring twice in the first period while Jody 3 Moons added a pair later on. The Vikings were up 5-0 by the time the Express managed to put one past Campbell, and that would be all they got as the Vikings net-minder finished with 26 saves on 27 shots. With this win, the Vikings evened up the season series with the Express at four games each and kept their hopes of a first round bye alive, although Cologne does still have the inside track. Severin von Karma scored his first career hat trick in the Vikings 8-4 victory. The Express are up in the standings by three points at the moment. The Vikings do have a game in hand, but Cologne can secure first place in Europe just by winning their final two games. They play a pair against New York, which would suggest that they have a good shot. However, the Americans have had some success against the Express this season. So far they have each won three games against each other. The Americans are capable of taking a game from the Express, and if they can win just one, then that allows for Stockholm to be in control of their fate. The Vikings will also take on the Americans in one of their final three games. They've been more successful in past matchups, however, winning six of seven. They also play a trade deadline-weakened Seattle and the Riga Reign; both of these are very winnable games. One factor to consider in all of this is that neither Campbell for the Vikings nor Waldron for the Express will be starting any of these games. STO G and COL G will be in net for the final games. Additionally, NYA G must start in two of New York's final games. It is likely that the Americans would give Jax Barnstormer his final start against the Express, because they hold Cologne's Season 45 first round pick.
  7. Also, if it's so easy, then explain this.
  8. Just so y'all know, right now this is in favor of keeping it with weekly changes. Discussion is more valuable than votes, and so far the word seems to be that change is good.
  9. I actually accumulated the data for how a team would have done if they simply picked the six best players from the previous week. I even gave them the best possible first week roster. They got rekt. Okay, so not "rekt" but they definitely weren't winning. I don't remember where I had the data or maybe I didn't save it, but it was not optimal to simply pick who was doing well. Yes, with regards to Pablo Escabar, Draper knowing that he would be the one to get a fuckton of shots blocked took a whole lot of skill I suppose, allowing him to crush week one and have it carry him to victory. Okay, so I lied. They actually would've been winning by a couple points. But that was with the optimal Week 1 roster, but if we just give them the average score instead, they would be in 8th place entering Week 5. But yes, seeing who is playing well and considering them for your roster is going to be beneficial. That's kind of the point of fantasy leagues.
  10. Why not? I don't know. That's what I'd like people like NUCK, boom, and Jamie to comment on.
  11. For me personally, I will point out that I was 12th after the first week. I've been in the top four every week after and it's looking like I'll win a second consecutive week. There is definitely benefit to be had for those who put in the effort as I have.
  12. So here's the people who utilized the option to adjust their roster and how many times they did Streetlight x4 Smarch x2 Ahma x2 Kel x2 Jamie Trifecta Molholt Victor Tylar boom gorlab
  13. Draper didn't change at all. I changed mine every week. I'll take a look back to see who else changed their rosters.
  14. Don't just vote; discuss. The discussion is more important than the vote tallies. This season, the VHFL allowed weekly roster changes. Due to the late start to getting things underway and the assumption that this change would be met with positivity, there wasn't time enough to properly gather opinions and decide how to go about running the VHFL. After a season of running it this way I'm not sure the change is one that needed to be made. While I don't mind the extra work, if people don't care about it then we will just revert back to how it was in the past; that is, everyone makes their roster before the season starts, and that's what they're stuck with for the season. Personally, I still much prefer this way and I think it makes a lot more sense, but I'm going to leave it up to everyone to make a decision. I don't want to do a variation of allowing people to change rosters where it's limited, or changes can't be made after Week X. Limiting the changes in terms of a "swap one player per week" is bad because it doesn't allow you to change the makeup of your team where maybe you had an expensive goalie but you wanted to change that to a cheap goalie and upgrade elsewhere. And making it so you can only make a change in let's say two different weeks adds to the work I have to do in keeping track of who has made changes and I just don't feel like doing that even though it would be a miniscule amount of work. These are the options. Vote. Discuss.

Unofficial current Week 5 scores from the top teams: Draper: 125.4 boom: 104.8 Molholt: 113.8 Green: 148.8 Streetlight: 165.4 Jamie: 104.8 stevo: 118.1 So while boom/Molholt/Green had a bit of a chance to catch Draper. There still a chance maybe, but now it's Green and myself who are in contention. It's likely that our battle is just for second place, however. The 2nd place race is really close, though. Actually, it's dead even between Green and me. We are 34.2 behind Draper and 34.4 ahead of Molholt. Dead even with only two matching players on our rosters, so there is definitely some variability between us. Less than two points separate boom/Molholt for 4th/5th. stevo and Jamie are about 20 and 30 points behind them, respectively.
