In a change of heart from last season, Japanese center Keiji Toriyama of the Vasteras Iron Eagles has decided that he plans to win the Continental Cup this season. This marks a new approach from a season ago when Toriyama and the Iron Eagles didn't win the championship because it was his will that it would not be so. For Vasteras fans, Toriyama's decision to win the Cup this season is something to celebrate. The Iron Eagles as a franchise have been terrible, and Toriyama's opposition to bringing home a third championship for the club last season was part of an effort to have the team moved back to Madrid, where they belong. "Nothing is changing as long as we stay in Vasteras. The fans aren't really that great, though we've never really given them much reason to cheer. I just think a change of scenery could do us some good. Perhaps new fanbase could light a fire under us. Although I've decided that we are going to win the Cup this season, I still think relocation is in order." Last season, Keiji Toriyama led a Twitter campaign to spread his message. He called upon his trillions of fans to litter social media with the hashtag #dontdoit. He considers it to have been a success.

I voted no, but I mean, yes isn't a bad choice. I think we'd want depreciation to start beating the crap out of you at that point in order to discourage people from continuing. Like, 13% in your 9th season, 20% in your 10th, ridiculous amounts more in following years.

I'm more referring to just the fact that the VHL has been around for seven years. And I suppose to not miss a point task is impressive, too.

Would people like to see something like this for every team? I'd be willing to work on the creation of such spreadsheets if this post of mine gets 14 likes (not that I'm fishing for likes, I just want to know that people would care to see them so it's not a waste of my time, not that it would be a massive waste of mine time because I really don't mind doing stuff like this).

The history of the Vasteras Iron Eagles is miserable. They have been to the playoffs just 14 times in 37 seasons (and just 4 times since S18). That, along with their disparate four finals appearances (just two of them coming since S2), demonstrate why the Iron Eagles are considered to be the worst franchise is VHL history. Despite this, Keiji Toriyama last season signed away the remainder of his career to the club. Toriyama has been one of the top players for the Iron Eagles since they traded for him during S36, but the rest of the team hasn't responded in kind to his extraordinary play. This season, however, things will be different because #DoItForKT is now trending on Twitter with over 10 billion tweets per minute using the hashtag. It is true that it is not Keiji Toriyama's final season in the VHL, so Vasteras will actually be 'doing it for KT' for the next three seasons. The hashtag is of course a reference to Keiji Toriyama's favorite musical artist, KT Tunstall, who happens to claim Toriyama as a favorite player.
