Review- The interview is with Joe Smith, who is interviewing Matthew McCagg, a star goaltender for the Ottawa Lynx. The interview touches on McCagg's performance in the VHLM, his thoughts on being the MVP for the team, the Lynx's chances of winning it all, and his plans to move on to the VHLE next season.  Overall, the interview is well-structured and covers a range of topics related to McCagg's career and the Lynx's performance. the interview provides a good glimpse into the mind of a successful hockey player and gives fans a sense of what to expect.

    The junior showcase tournament is in full swing and today I thought we should take a look at the number one top talent, Leading the tournament in points as a defenseman and per my sources also a wonderful human being;

    Liv Slater(@Subject056)
9 Goals 25 assists for 34 points in 18 Games Played

Many wonder how this is possible, The Junior Showcase tournament has been held yearly for awhile now and not once has a defender held the top point-producer spot this far in (at least i don't believe so).
The brigade's GM really hit the jackpot with this pick.

On a scale 1-100 experts have ranked his puckhandling skill at 62 and that's what this prospect does best.
After a game against the Steels I know an investigation was launched looking into the stickiness of Slaters stick.
As far as i know nothing was found but some players still believe he's using some kind of glue to keep the puck on his stick.

“It’s glue. I swear that prick is gluing his stick! Frick it! It’s impossible to have that control naturally!!”
A very frustrated Tord Yvel said in the post game media scrum.

He really does it all for his Brigades this year. the points establish his dominance in the offensive zone.
Let's have a quick look at his defensive-game. scouts ranked his defensive ability at 60 and it shows up when you look at the numbers.
35 blocked shots takes him to a tied third place in the tournament, with a couple games fewer than the one and two ranked.
with 48 hits he is tied seventh in the tournament. We can surely say he's not a soft and cuddly teddy bear either.
you will have to pay the price if you want to enter a zone that Liv Slater is holding down.
I personally recommend that you just turn around and go to your own zone, it's a lot better for your health.

Even off the ice Liv seems to help his team and be a top notch human being.
Here’s a quote i got from teammate Alex Carlson describing the person Slater is:

“Liv has been an excellent teammate who is not only dedicated on the ice but in the lockerroom as well.
I played with her in Houston, on team brigade in the journey tourney and we are again teammates on team world.
I will miss her presence in Houston lockerroom but wherever she goes,
the team will be lucky to have her”
    -Alex Carlson

I don’t know where Liv will end up in the draft but I will be very surprised if it’s not in the top of the class.
    They say the GM’s of the VHL have a difficult decision to make in the upcoming draft. I personally don't think this is something to fret about;
Pick Liv Slater as early as you possibly can, trade up if you have to and never look back. Here you have a high end top 2 defenseman with leader capabilities.

I will enjoy watching Slaters journey in the VHL-sphere, a fantastic player that will only get better as the competition hardens and the challenges get bigger.

The Ottawa Lynx had a strong showing in the playoffs, with 12 wins and only 5 losses in 17 games. They amassed a total of 24 points, with 12 of those wins coming in regulation time. Their impressive offense managed to score 54 goals, while their defense only allowed 35 goals against. This resulted in a goal differential of 19, demonstrating their ability to both score and defend effectively.

The Lynx's success in the playoffs can be attributed to their strong team play and depth, with multiple players stepping up and contributing to their victories. Their solid goaltending also played a crucial role in their success, making key saves and keeping their team in games.

As a result of their strong performance, the Ottawa Lynx were able to clinch the championship, proving themselves to be the top team in the league. Their success in the playoffs serves as a testament to their hard work and dedication throughout the season.

I am sorry in advance to anyone who has the courage of reading this entire media spot. It’s midnight and PTs for this week close in 3 hours so you have the privilege of reading my article typed on my phone while I am on the greens.

So in recent news Houston was eliminated in the second round of the playoffs by Mexico in 7 games. We had a 3-2 lead but couldn’t reach the finish line. It was upsetting to see an end to our season without any hardware, as me, Triller, and the whole roster were building a team this season to win a cup. Congrats to Mexico who broke their second round curse, unfortunate they couldn’t win it in the end but they had a great playoff run.

There were a lot of positives to come out of this season. First of all I have an amazing partner running Houston with me. When Minion got promoted to a GM role, Triller just recently started showing up more in my feed. He was replying and reacting to a lot of my medias so I figured why not ask him to join me. After some convincing I got myself a stud of an AGM. Triller has been a positive role in our team’s morale and overall success, always being in the locker room and forum with our team and new members of the league as well. He is amazing at development which is key in the VHLM and key to our team.

The roster we had this season was a little all over the place. First we had a few returning players from the previous draft who were 100+ TPE. Then we had this season’s draft which eventually produced 3 capped players for Houston. Waiver players came after with one becoming capped and the other reaching 170 TPE. Finally we had a trade to complete the puzzle, a capped goalie. This roster was the best I have created in my four season GMing career, and the bonus was that I didn’t need to trade any future assets away and force a rebuild. I really truly believed we had enough to win it all and once playoffs came by I was ready to go.

The only bump in the road though were the Kings, and of course we had to see them in the second round, not the finals. Once we had our 3-2 series lead I was still unsure of what would happen because the series was back and fourth the whole time. We lost game 6 and then I was stumped. I had no idea what the outcome would be. It felt like if I flipped a coin I’d have better odds at guessing the outcome than this series’ outcome. Mexico ended up taking it and I swear a GM once told me that if a team wins game 6 in STHS they are bound to win game 7. This is of course a theory but after this series I will definitely have that theory screwed into my brain everytime I get to a game 6 in the future.

    Welcome everyone,

Bobby Bob just completed his first and last full season of his short career in the VHLM. He completely dominated the league and his team, the Houston Bulls, also had a really good season. In this fifth episode of « The Bobs legacy, the sequel », we will look at the regular season and the playoffs of Bobby Bob and the Houston Bulls.

The Houston Bulls had a good start of the season in S87, but not a great one. Indeed, for more than half the season, Houston was third in their conference and between the seventh and the fifth place in the league. At the trade deadline, the Bulls GM (@AJW) and his AGM (@Triller) decided to make a trade that they thought would improve the team for the remainder of the season. They traded Nick Sansoe @Tipskid97 and Shadow Thompson @Kelsey to the Miami Marauders for the goaltender Merome Dilson @MexicanCow123. After this trade, the Houston Bulls were never the same again and they started to play like a top four team in the league and they succeeded to win 45 games, lose the other 27 games including 6 in overtime for a total of 96 points in 72 games. The Bulls finished second in their conference and fourth in the league just before the Mississauga Hounds who also finished with 96 points.

Just like his team, Bobby Bob had a great season, and he even earned his place in the record book of the Houston Bulls. Bob finished the season with 30 goals and 82 assists for a total of 112 points in 72 games and a differential of +12. With those stats, Bob finished seventh in the league for the number of points, first among defensemen, first in assist in the league and first for the number of power-play goals with 19. Bobby dominated the league, and this incredible season gave him the honour to have a place in the record book of the Houston Bulls for the fourth most assists in a single season (82).

In the playoffs, the Houston Bulls faced the Mississauga Hounds in the first round of the Founder’s Cup and easily won the series in five little games to make it to the second round. The Mexico City Kings were the next opponents of the Bulls and this series was very different than the previous one. Indeed, the series went to game 7 before the Kings won the last game and the semi-final 3-2. After this game, Houston’s season was over, but they can be proud of what they have done, because they were only 2 goals away from the final. In the final, the Ottawa Lynx beat the Mexico City Lynx in five games to win the Founder’s Cup.

In these playoffs, Bobby Bob scored 2 goals and added 14 assists for a total of 16 points in 12 games and a differential of +2. Despite having five fewer games played than the other players, Bob is second in points among defenseman and ninth in the league.

Bobby Bob’s season was extraordinary, but now it is time for the drafts and the off-season. Where do you think Bobby Bob will end up?

    It is me!

I'd like to begin by both thanking @jacobcarson877 for his time as the Marlins GM, and congratulating him on his new position with London in the VHL. There's no doubt that Jacob's time in San Diego was anything short of inspiring as we've seen his name constantly appear in Elmebeck nominations, and the San Diego organization has continuously introduced quality members and players into the greater VHL community. We'll certainly miss his exceptional contributions in the VHLM but wish him the best of luck (except against Moscow) in the VHL.

Now to the hole he leaves behind. Gus and I were pleasantly surprised at the group who applied and felt that we had a very strong crop to choose from. Our selection is someone who is returning to GM'ing in the VHLM after an excellent stint in the past. With such large shoes to fill in, we feel confident that this candidate will be able to step in and instantly make their mark while continuing the high standards recent Marlins GM's have held. Please congratulate the new San Diego GM:

    Houston Bulls playoff review

The Houston Bulls, a team that had high hopes entering the playoffs, experienced some challenges along the way. However, they were able to end up as the third overall team in the league.

Their journey began in the first round when they were matched up against the Mississauga Hounds. Despite a rocky start in the first game where the Hounds scored a whopping 9 goals, the Bulls didn't let that discourage them. They came back the second game with a huge 8 goals. The bulls won the series and moved on to the second round.

Their next opponent in the playoffs was the Mexico City Kings. It was an intense series that went all the way to game 7, with both teams fighting tooth and nail for a spot in the next round. However, the Kings emerged victorious and advanced to the next round.

Although the Bulls playoff journey ended sooner than they had hoped for, they showed a lot of people that they were a force to be reckoned with. They proved their ability to play deep into the playoffs and compete against some of the top teams in the league. It was a season to remember for the Bulls and their fans, and it's safe to say that a lot of their players have many GM's attention for the upcoming draft.

    Alex Carlson Playoff Review

In the playoffs, Alex Carlson stepped up his game and became an important contributor for the Houston Bulls. In 12 games, he recorded 2 goals and 5 assists for a total of 7 points. Although he had an even plus-minus rating at 0, he made his presence felt with 20 shots on goal and 20 hits.

Alex's playmaking ability was also showcased in the playoffs, as he recorded a power-play goal to help his team in crucial situations. Despite not recording any game-winning goals, his overall performance helped to boost his team's chances in every game. In terms of discipline, Carlson only took 4 penalty minutes, which demonstrated his ability to play a clean and controlled game. His one blocked shot also demonstrated his willingness to put his body on the line for his team.

Carlson's playoff performance was impressive and showed that he was a key player for the Bulls. With his continued development and contributions, he will surely be a player to watch in future playoff runs.

    Alex Carlson's next season decision

As the current season comes to a close, Alex Carlson has already made a decision about his future. He has decided to stay in the minor leagues for one full season, despite offers to join various teams in the professional leagues. His decision is based on his desire to experience a full season in the minors, further develop his skills, and gain more playing time.

Alex is excited for the upcoming draft and is looking forward to the opportunity to showcase his talents to scouts and teams. Even though he has chosen to remain in the minors, he knows that he can still earn a decent salary and continue to work on his game.

With his impressive performance in the playoffs, Carlson has proven that he has what it takes to play at a higher level. By staying in the minors for another season, he can continue to hone his skills and develop into an even better player. The future looks bright for Alex Carlson, and his decision to stay in the minors shows that he is focused on his long-term goals and willing to work hard to achieve them.

Dack reacted to nurx in VSN Presents: S87 VHLM Playoff Preview
The VHLM playoffs are upon us and with that the best time of the season. When the sims come out everyone is stressed, but by the end of the month, we will only have one team remaining. Will it be the Houston Bulls strengthened by Merome Dilson or the Mexico City Kings who got off to one of the hottest VHLM starts of all time? Only Simon knows and he refuses to tell his secrets so we can only guess what could happen. Without further delay let’s get right into predicting the S87 VHLM Playoffs.

    1.  Mexico City Kings 🆚 8.   Las Vegas Aces

A rivalry that we wish we could have seen every playoff just a few short seasons ago, but this season the Kings are a significantly better team. They made up nearly every roster spot for the Western Conferences All-Star roster and if that team would be selected today they could very likely hold the majority again. This team has firepower that scares the people who care for the nets while also having a very strong goalie protecting their net. This team is a force and it will be difficult for any team to beat them let alone a struggling Las Vegas team. Las Vegas won only 26 games during the regular season just above two times the amount required to win the cup from this time forward. Could they increase their win total by 50%? Yes. I wouldn’t count on it though as in nearly every position they are outgunned.

    2.  Ottawa Lynx  🆚 7.  Halifax 21st

Halifax has one major strength this season and that is their top-tier goalie, but they, unfortunately, run up against the only other goalie in the conversation for the Devereux Trophy @Elman Diablo. Ottawa has some of the best forwards in the league backed up by the defense and allowed the least amount of goals in the league. It is hard to get a goal against this Ottawa squad. If Halifax wants to win their defense needs to step up and stop Ottawa’s first line. If they do that they have a good chance to beat this Ottawa squad, but that is harder done than said. If Ottawa is able to simply perform to their standard it will be hard for Halifax to get any momentum against this Ottawa team.

    3.   Miami Marauders 🆚 6.  San Diego Marlins

Miami has an interesting goalie tandem with two capable netminders, but their strength lies with just how deep their forward core goes. Swinsola @Swinsola is in the conversation for league MVP while there are teams in the playoffs who are fielding a worse 1st line than Miami is fielding 3rd line. This team can score a lot of goals in a game, but they have been completely stopped occasionally. If San Diego wants to win this series their best opportunity is to stop that offensive core. Goalie wise both of these teams struggle with Miami having a tandem of similarly skilled tendies. The battle will be an offensive one and it will be led by the stars of each team. Overall, San Diego is a strong team, but Miami simply is a deeper team offensively, so it will be difficult for the Marlins to find a foothold against this offensively-minded squad.

    4.  Houston Bulls 🆚 5.  Mississauga Hounds

This Houston team is by far the most underrated team in the league. They have a ridiculous squad on offense with a crazy good goalie. You can’t win as many games in a row as Houston did without being a very good squad. It is rare you see a 4 seed and thinks to yourself, “I think this team really could be the favorites,” but this season we are thinking this. There aren’t any positions where Mississauga really matches up well, but the best matchup is
defensively where both teams let a similar amount of shots during the season. If there is any opportunity for Mississauga to pull off the upset it is going to be for Jonny Elgar @Jonny to pull off some stolen games.

    Predictions

    First Round

     Mexico City 4   🆚   Las Vegas  1

     Ottawa Lynx 4  🆚  Halifax 0

Miami Marauders 4 🆚  San Diego Marlins 2

     Houston Bulls 4  🆚  Mississauga Hounds 0

    Semi-Finals

     Mexico City 2  🆚  Houston Bulls 4

     Ottawa Lynx 3  🆚  Miami Marauders 4

Alex Carlson had a bit of a sluggish start to the season with the Houston Bulls. He went ten games without being able to score a single point, but that did not deter him. Instead, he continued to work hard during both practice and games, and eventually, his efforts paid off as he started to contribute to the team's success.
Despite encountering some bumps in the road, Carlson has been a dependable force for the Bulls, with 37 hits and a game-winning goal to his credit. Moreover, he has demonstrated his ability to perform on special teams by scoring a power-play goal.
Looking back, Carlson's first 23 games have been a valuable learning experience. He has successfully adjusted to the faster pace and physicality of the league, while also honing his skills. As the season continues to unfold, Carlson is determined to make an even greater impact on his team's performance.

Dack got a reaction from Tetricide in what Houston needs to do to finish the season strong
In order for the Houston Bulls to maintain their momentum and finish the season strong, they must concentrate on several key areas. Their defensive play needs to improve, as the team has struggled to prevent goals against and has lost several games by large margins. This means that the team must work together to tighten up their defensive structure, communicate more effectively, and improve their individual positioning and decision making.

Additionally, the team needs to generate more offense. Although they have some talented individual players, the Bulls have struggled to create consistent scoring opportunities and capitalize on them. They will need to focus on establishing a strong forecheck, utilizing effective puck movement, and taking more shots on goal to create scoring chances.

Finally, the team must maintain a positive attitude and work together towards their goals. Despite some difficult losses and setbacks, the Bulls need to stay motivated and support one another. By working together and staying focused on their objectives, the team can continue to improve and finish the season strong.

Dack got a reaction from Subject056 in Alex Carlson first 13 game review
As I reflect on my first 13 games in the VHLM, I feel proud of what I've accomplished so far, but I know there's still plenty of work to be done. To be honest, it's been a bit of a challenging start for me. I've played in all 13 games, With 1 goal and 1 assist, I know I haven't been the most productive player on the ice, but I'm doing my best to contribute in other ways. However, I'm still getting used to the level of play in the VHLM. The competition is much tougher than anything I've faced before, and I'm still adjusting to the speed and physicality of the game. I'm working hard in practice to improve my skills and make better decisions on the ice. Despite my low point total, I've been focusing on my overall game and trying to make a positive impact on the team. With 16 shots on goal, I've been getting my chances, and I know that the goals will come with continued effort and dedication. Defensively, I've been working hard to improve my plus/minus rating. With a current rating of -8, I know there's room for improvement, but I'm committed to making better decisions on the ice and helping my team keep the puck out of our net. On the physical side of the game, I've been working to make my presence felt with 16 hits and 2 penalty minutes. I believe that a physical presence on the ice can help swing momentum in our favor and intimidate our opponents. As a member of the Houston Bulls, I can tell you that the excitement for the future of our team is high. While we've had our ups and downs in the current season, there's a real sense that we have the talent, coaching, and drive to be a dominant force in the league for years to come. Our GM staff has put together a team that's built on speed, skill, and a tenacious work ethic. With a blend of young up-and-comers and seasoned veterans, we have the depth and experience to compete with any team in the league. While our record might not show it yet, we have the potential to be a serious threat in the playoffs. Our locker room is full of players who are hungry to win, who are willing to put in the work to make it happen. As for myself, I know I have more to give to the team. While my stats might not be where I want them to be, I'm working hard every day to improve my game, to become a more consistent contributor on the ice. I'm studying film, working on my conditioning, and putting in extra time in the weight room to make sure I'm at my best every time I step on the ice. Although I haven't yet scored a game-winning goal or recorded a power-play or short-handed goal, I know that those opportunities will come as I continue to develop my skills and gain more experience in the league. I'm happy with my performance in these first 13 games, but I'm not content. I'm eager to continue improving and contributing in any way possible to help my team be successful.

    1.  I think both sides fleeced each other. Miami gets a forward if I'm not mistaken that will be there next season to help their rebuild. Houston got a goalie who is ready to win now like Houston is. It was a good trade for both teams.
      2.  I didn't know what team ls have rivals so I made up one with my player. It was fun.
    3.  it doesn't matter who drafts me.
    4.  aj, triller, and liv
    5.  What is your favorite sport to play and watch?  hockey and football
      6.  How did you spend your long weekend if you had one?  If not, how was your regular weekend?  slow and relaxing. Movies and popcorn haha
