VHL Game 4: Moscow v. Warsaw The Moscow Menace absolutely obliterated the Warsaw Predators in this game, winning 5-0 and shutting out the perds. Carson Tripp scored the first goal late in the first period on a power play. He was assisted by my wonderful VHFL pick Obuz Schneider Canet du Bocage. In the second period Moscow proceeded to extend their lead by scoring three more goals from Pombo, Catia Goncalves, and Maverick Goncalves. Finally, in the third period, the final goal was scored by Jillian Woods on a power play. The three stars of the game were awarded to M. Goncalves, Pombo and Tripp. I think Deadpanda was robbed by not showing up in the three stars, but that's Simon for you! Deadpanda had a perfect 13 stops on a pathetic 13 shots from Warsaw. Is Warsaw throwing for the 2nd year in a row? I guess we won't know until a few more games pass. Regardless, Moscow played a perfect game and absolutely dominated their opponents. Apparently we need to talk about the trade deadline Since I already claimed welfare this week by simply never reading @Josh's announcement of theme week, I am here to talk about the trade deadline in VHL.com form. The trade deadline in the VHL has gotten boring. Sure, there's always a couple trades here and there for some cup contenders, but it's never anything super spicy. I want to see some overperforming team absolutely sell the farm and just get like 3 1st round picks for the next draft. Actually, writing this gave me another idea. How fun would it be if the VHL did a fantasy draft for one season? This isn't the pros, so we don't have to worry about anyone getting injured. Plus, if everyone was really worried we could make the season not count against depreciation. Doing that might actually bring some liveliness back into the VHL during our current boring era. I'd also vote for no salary cap, so teams just get to go at it during the draft. We could also make an alternate trophy for it, lets say the draftinental cup. EZ. You're welcome @Beketov for such a good idea for recruitment.

1. Not really, we've been a solid team with solid players thus far. I still think we make a very deep run. 2. Actually yes. I always start slow, but I'm leading the league in goals and points! 3. SO stoked. If we can win back-to-back cups we might go down as a dynasty in the VHLM which is hard to do! 4. No one. I always utilize @Pifferfish for some build help, then make tiny adjustments on my own. 5. It seems like offense always reigns supreme in the VHL/VHLM, so I have no problem pushing it further. 6. I wish I could return so we could 3 peat, but I will be in DC with the Dragons. I'll root for you guys though!

Why does the VHL not have a dog? After the passing of College Football's best dog, Ben, I have decided that the VHL needs a dog. Dogs are amazing creatures and if I was at home more/had a yard I would certainly own one myself. I know many of the members of the VHL have dogs as pets and I would like to submit my appeal to vote a member's dog the face of the VHL. Everyone has shared their pets in Discord and on the forums so it seems we are due for a new mascot. I also request that everyone who has a dog post a picture of said dog in this forum topic. We can then vote on which dog the VHL will formally adopt. Moving forward it will be required that all sim result posts have a pic of the VHL dog in them, and everyone will be required to post "good boy" or "good girl" in order for Simon to answer your hockey prayers. Who's with me?

My Favorite Banned Users: @Kachur Somewhere in my post history exists a part one of this series, but since I'm lazy and didn't want to page through a bunch of posts I'll pretend this is a first. I know the previous article was about DougF and Diacope, but I have a new and exciting banned member for you today! I present to you: Kachur. Kachur The story of Kachur starts around the same time I initially joined the league. At the height of covid, we had a ton of active members and Kachur was one of those. However, as time went on he became known for being very active for a season, and then going IA immediately after. He may have even created more VHLM players than @dylanjj37 due to his inactivity. With most problematic members, there is always a file on them already. Kachur was a rare case in that he had never been banned before his "big" ban. His banning made a couple of members go permanently IA (well, they are still inactive to this day). Let's get into it. Like always Kachur had gone inactive for a few months. It may have been a year, I can't remember perfectly. In 2021, a couple of new members had made a big splash in the league. @Horvat98 and @Horcrux (for some reason the forum won't let me @ them). Horcrux identified as a lesbian woman named Erica. (Kachur was neither a woman, nor was he gay). Horcrux created an AMA type of thread when she first created. The thread is actually insightful and interesting. You can see @Gustav be suspicious of how quickly they had caught on with sim leagues even though it was supposedly their first one. "Horcrux" quickly made friends with @Shindigs, @JardyB10, @BladeMaiden, @fishy, Diacope, and @samx. She also immediately became enemies with @Spartan . Over the course of the next few months, she would constantly be trying to get Spartan to break CoC and get him banned. If you want more information about that feel free to pester Spartan, I didn't want to bother him with an interview (he's a busy boi). As time went on Horcrux began exhibiting symptoms of mental instability. She would have random outbursts at people on Discord that commonly caused her to apologize on the forums. Finally, she blew up on the forums on a fantastic thread titled "Sorry Not Sorry". She attacked @Moon and @Spartan in particular in this thread. Her final thread was titled "Positivity Corner" where she once again apologized for being so "divisive" and for spreading "chaos and disorder". She then blew up on Discord a few days later and on December 23rd, 2021 Horcrux, Horvat98 and Kachur were all banned for being multis. They had tricked dozens of users into believing all kinds of bullshit and it was truly a beautiful day. After the fallout occurred users @Shindigs and @BladeMaiden completely dropped off the face of the VHL forever. @v.2 had an interesting thought that Shindigs was very probably another alt of Kachur, but it was never proven. Users @JardyB10 and @fishy seemed to go relatively inactive after the events unfolded, but we do hear from them sometimes. Remember kids, you'll eventually slip up using your VPN. You'll get caught, and we'll all laugh at you. My sources are all from Horcrux's posts themselves. I can post explicit links if anyone is interested, but I'm tired at the moment.
