1. I'm excited although it's bittersweet being my last season with Castle. I'm going to enjoy the ride and hopefully it's a good one!
2. Continental Cup. That is the goal. 
3. Busy with kids' sports, mainly basketball. Hopefully summer will bring a bit more relaxation at the trailer and we have a trip to Vancouver Island planned.
4. James MacAvoy @Enraged has brought great energy since we got him. Looking forward to seeing what he can do this season!
5. I think we can get 1st in the conference. We're deep everywhere and other teams have lost some of their depth. On paper, we have four of the best 12 players in the league and the best goalie. We let 1st slip away from us last season - we won't do that again.
6. Only the NHL playoffs when I have time, LOL. Got to finish Rings of Power too...

1. I’m pretty damn excited. After a good rookie season, I’m hoping I can improve with better linemates.
 
2. my main goal is to win the cup this season but my main individual goal is to finish point per game
 
3. My spring has been pretty good so far! I’m graduating this year and I plan on taking a gap year before I head on to college, so I don’t really have any summer plans as of rn
 
4. Since it’s my first season here, I’m looking forward to playing with everyone tbh, there isn’t a single player I’m more or less excited at the prospect of playing with
 
5. We’re finishing first in the division, first in the league without question. The team is already incredible but adding me? We’re unstoppable.
 
6. I’m not a huge tv show guy but I did recently finish Ted lasso which is now my favourite show of all time. Legitimately one of the best shows ever made.

When deciding on the players that will make the team, I did a comparison between all their stats for the season. I first looked at number of points to determine their offensive output. Then looked at +/-, hits, shots blocked to see their defensive capabilities. I wanted to choose players that were the most well rounded, as I believe that this would yield the greatest results if they were on the same team. For goalies, I looked at their win-loss record, save percentage, and goal against. There were some players that were an easy choice, but others were more difficult. I know there was a few snubs in there, for sure, due to only being able to choose one player from each position (except defense). Retiree John Jameson leads this team through his impressive final season. Overall this team has a ton of fire power, scoring a combined 534 points with 119 of those on the powerplay. Don't discount their defense though. They boast 560 blocked shots all together and a +/- of +142. 1. Off-season tends to be a slow time around sim leagues. What do you do to keep yourself engaged and excited for the upcoming season?
 
I chat a lot with people about the VHL. There isn’t a whole lot I can do to keep myself engaged other than chatting with people.
 
2. The draft is coming up soon and we have a chance of getting some really good players. Do you think we will be in a good spot for a strong season afterwards?
 
yessir. The draft is always huge for teams and I don’t see why it would be any different for us this season.
 
3. How do you think the contraction from eight teams to six will affect the VHLE going forward? Is it good or bad overall for the league?
 
I think it’s more bad than good. Gives people less flexibility on choosing a team, gives less people an opportunity to play, and just generally makes the league less fun,
 
4. What is your favourite two team combination for Puckdoku and why?
 
Probably Montreal and LA since I have a 0.0% that I can go every time. I’m not revealing who it is but his last name is Bergeron!
 
5. Does an active locker room factor into your overall enjoyment of sim leagues? Why or why not?
 
100%. outside of locker rooms, where am I supposed to hang out? There is literally nothing to do with other people other than chat and if you take out the only play you can do that, it ruins a lot of the enjoyment of it.
 
6. What do you think makes rory such a great GM?
 
Rory has done a great job at keeping people engaged and chatting (which is more than I can say for… a lot… of other servers) and he seems like he actually cares about his players. He’s also very knowledgeable and makes great moves.

@Subject056informed me earlier today that she was stepping down as Hounds agm to focus more on her job in recruitement. While it's sad to lose her as AGM I think it's fun to see that we have people very much dedicated to recruitement for the VHL. 1. I didn’t pay attention to the theme week, I’ve been dealing with personal stuff for a bit now.
2. I think luck played a big part. We can’t always guarantee a win with the sim engine being slightly random so there’s always that in play when we sim.
3. Number 91. I’ve been a huge Tarasenko fan as far as I can remember and he wears 91 so I wear 91.
4. I am not interested in becoming a mod. I have fun just being a player, I don’t feel like I want to do anything extra.
5. Cookie Dough ice cream is so good oh my god. Tbh, I just love cookie dough in general so having them combined is just a given.
6. My favourite movie is easily Bullet Train. The premise and everything is so stupid I just love how absurd it is.
