  1. Schwarzer Makes VHLM Playoffs Debut As the VHLM playoffs kick into gear, some scouts have started to notice talented rookie Joshua Schwarzer, who has become a nice complimentary piece of the puzzle for the Philadelphia Reapers. With the Reapers already up 2-0 on the Miami Marauders in the first round, the team's sights are set on the ultimate prize, and Schwarzer wants to be instrumental in their championship aspirations. In the two playoff games played thus far, Schwarzer has showcased his potential with every stride on the ice. Despite averaging just 9.68 minutes of ice time per game, he has made each moment count. The rookie forward has demonstrated his scoring ability, netting an important goal that helped swing the momentum in favor of the Reapers. Additionally, he has shown his physicality with two impressive hits, letting his opponents know he's a force to be reckoned with. One of Schwarzer's most noteworthy attributes during the playoffs has been his commendable +2 plus-minus rating. This statistic reflects his effectiveness on both ends of the ice, showing that he's not just contributing offensively but also playing a crucial role in the Reapers' defensive efforts. While Schwarzer's individual statistics may not dominate the scoresheet, his willingness to embrace his role and make a difference in limited minutes has impressed both teammates and coaching staff alike. With the playoffs being a high-stakes and pressure-packed environment, having players like Schwarzer who can thrive and deliver under these circumstances is a massive advantage for the Reapers. While the Reapers are up 2-0 on the Miami Marauders, Schwarzer knows the series isn’t over yet. In the remaining games, has set his sights on an even more significant challenge: shutting down Miami's top players, including the formidable Alexandre Crosby. In his post-game interview, Schwarzer acknowledged the challenge, saying, "Facing players like Alexandre Crosby is what playoff hockey is all about. I take pride in being a well-rounded player, and part of that means stepping up defensively to neutralize the opposition's threats. He already has four points in these past two games, so I have to do my part in limiting his impact on the ice to close out the series." The playoffs also act as the perfect opportunity for S91 rookies to prove their mettle, and Joshua Schwarzer is seizing this moment with tenacity and skill. With each game, he gains invaluable experience, learning from the intensity and pressure of postseason play. As he continues to grow and evolve as a player, his impact on the Reapers' championship run could prove to be the X-factor that sets them apart. When asked about the upcoming VHLM draft and his thoughts on the possibility of returning to the Philadelphia Reapers, he humbly stated, "The draft is an exciting time for any player, and while I would love to be drafted high and have the opportunity to return to the Reapers, my main focus right now is on the playoff run. We have a great group of guys here, and our goal is to bring home the championship. Everything else will fall into place when the time comes. For now, my heart and mind are fully dedicated to supporting my teammates and doing whatever it takes to help this team succeed in the playoffs." Assuming the Reapers can close out the series, they will eagerly await the outcome of the intense series between the Mississauga Hounds and the Mexico City Kings. As the series stands tied at 1-1, it's anyone's guess which team the Reapers will face next.
  2. 1. How is the season going for your team? Is it going as expected? The season is going great! I had the privilege of joining the Reapers who are the top dogs in the VHLM. Hopefully the success carries over to the playoffs. 2. What is the biggest surprise for you this season? I just returned at the trade deadline so not really sure about what expectations were at the start of the season. I think overall I was surprised how much fuller VHLM teams are now than they were in the past though. 3. What is your player’s go to celebration? On the ice just a simple fist pump. Off the ice an nice sushi dinner! --------- 1. Are you looking forward to the playoffs? If not, how about the off-season? 2. Anything exciting so far about the summer? 3. Who do you think should be the MVP of the league you are in?
  3. Joshua Schwarzer Showing Promise in the VHLM As the Victory Hockey League Minors season unfolds, a new rookie has caught the attention of hockey enthusiasts with his steady progress and determined play. Joshua Schwarzer, the newcomer for the Philadelphia Reapers, is making strides in his debut season, leaving a mark on the ice and in the hearts of fans. Having played 18 games so far, Schwarzer has already shown glimpses of his potential. With 3 goals and 5 assists to his name, he is proving to be a valuable asset to the Reapers, contributing to crucial plays and elevating the team's performance. Beyond his contributions on the score sheet, Schwarzer is continuously adapting to the fast-paced nature of the VHLM, getting more comfortable with each game. His dedication to improvement has not gone unnoticed, and his teammates and coaching staff have lauded his work ethic and willingness to learn. Velevra, known for his… well I’m not actually quite sure what I’m known for other than all the updating work I used to do but regardless I’m quite grateful for all the warm welcomes With ambitions of learning from legendary players, Schwarzer has chosen to embark on his hockey journey with the renowned Philadelphia Reapers. The VHLM serves as the perfect platform for young talents to make a name for themselves. Schwarzer's entry into the league has sparked curiosity and anticipation, as fans eagerly await his development under the guidance of established Reaper players such as Eno Velvson and Mina. As a fresh face in the Reapers' roster, Schwarzer brings with him a hunger to learn and a determination to prove himself. With the mentorship of Velvson and Mina, both accomplished players in their own right, he has a golden opportunity to hone his skills and develop a deeper understanding of the game. When asked for comment Schwarzer said “I always dreamed of handing out water bottles to legendary players such as Eno Velvson and Mina. I will make sure they are well hydrated for their playoff run!”
  6. 1. NHL offseason has begun!!!! What moves you liking so far if you pay attention to it at all. If you don't know much about the NHL what do you hope your team in any sport accomplishes this year in general? Haven't been following a ton but some highlights for me have been the suspected Flames blowup and the drama in Toronto with the departure of Dubas. Also the Canucks buying out OEL. 2. Do we miss the Key Tracker? I've been busy and would love to retroactively go back and hand them out if people want it but I'll gauge interest here. Not quite sure what that was but happy for it to come back and check it out! 3. What team if any are we dreading meeting in the postseason? Houston and San Diego look like the other top dogs at the moment so I would keep an eye out for them. 4. Do we want more emojis of my cat in the discord? I advise all the emojis as possible. 5. We are doing well with the roster we have, but should we be considering trading for assets to bolster for the playoffs? I would have stuck to what was working and not change much in order to keep the chemistry going. 6. Former cup winner and 2x Reaper Jeffery Blake is OTB, do we trade for the franchise legend and let him ride the pine to his second ship, or is that a waste of time? I think trading for him sounds great but he should play! I'm hoping to ride the pine to a championship on the coattails of Nykonax myself.

  11. 1) This marks the second season in a row that a should-have-been-better Davos roster has missed the playoffs. Do we keep at competing next season, or is a retool in order? Hopefully the team is able to try and compete for a shot at the cup next season! 2) What's the single best move we could possibly (realistically) make this offseason? We should trade for Gorlab I hear he has championship pedigree 3) Davos doesn't have a pick in either of the first two rounds of this draft...so is there anyone farther down the board in this draft class who you think might be worth a shot? I unfortunately wouldn't be the best person to ask but hopefully we can find some late steals! 4) This year, the VHL raised well over $3000 for food banks in the US and Canada! What would you like to see us donate to in next year's holiday drive? United Way is always a great charity to donate to in my opinion! 5) You can go back in time and witness any historical event firsthand. Which do you choose? I would go back and buy some google stock when it was first available. 6) What's something interesting about your country that someone living elsewhere might not know? We don't all live in igloos and ride polar bears
