  2. GOOD EVENING MIAMI!!! Happy Monday and welcome to your Press Conference for this week ending May 19th! And boy do we have a busy week ahead with all of the off-season events happening. On to the questions! 1. What do you think is the most important part of being a leader? Is it different when it comes to being on or off the ice? 2. What is your favourite way to train during the off-season? 3. The World Junior Championship is going to be starting soon! Which nation are you most excited to watch this season? 4. If you had to pick one hockey skill that you could never train again, which one would it be? 5. On the contrary; if you could pick one hockey skill that you were the best in the world at, which would THAT one be? 6. An Aurora Borealis happened just a few days ago! Were you able to catch it? Monster of the week is; Controversially, Aussie Lemonade. What a banger. Thank you for your time. See you next week!
  3. That’s my boy right there
  4. GOOD AFTERNOON MIAMI!!! Welcome to your press conference for the week ending May 12th! (Shoutout to @ace_five_ because I stole his presser graphics ) 1. The Playoffs have officially wrapped up! In your opinion, what was the most exciting matchup in the post-season?? 2. The big draft is coming very soon, and several Miami folk are eligible in at least one league's draft. What's your mindset like for these days leading up to the draft? Are you nervous? I am. I'm nervous for you! AND EXCITED!!! 3. Speaking of drafts, the JST draft has been completed recently as well, and the tournament is set to start soon! If you weren't eligible to participate, do you plan on following the tournament? (Good luck to the Marauders who are in it!!) 4. The City of Miami called. They wanted to know if you're spending your off-season vacation on home turf or abroad. What have you been up to thus far? 5. One day you're going to be a big star in the VHL... what is one brand that you would love to be sponsored by one day?? 6. There are plenty of caffeine addicts out there. I'm one of them. What's your favourite or go-to caffeinated drink? If you don't do caffeine, what is your favourite drink in general? Thanks for being here! Go Marauders

  8. Skill issue me thinks. They shouldn't blame you for their choices
  9. This is basically like christmas how could anyone hate you
  10. 1 - So we went out in five games versus Houston. How tough is this loss for you? Very. With my first season in a professional league, it would've made for a wonderful Cinderella story if the backup was able to save the series. Unfortunately, my big story will have to wait. But it will come 2 - What are your plans for the offseason? Will you be trying anything new out to improve as a player? My plans are to practice, practice and practice! I wasn't good enough this season, so I'll make sure I am by the start of the next. I'm going to be honing in on my rebound control and the glove to make sure that I am unstoppable between the pipes. 3 - Are you in any other sim leagues? If so, what is the variety of sports? Nope! Hockey is my one and only. Fun fact, I have a fear of baseballs. 4 - The Aces look to have a solid roster next season. Where do you plan on playing? Wherever the wind takes me! I'm slotted for the VHLM Dispersal draft, so wherever I end up will be where I play. I would love to wear an Aces jersey at the start of next season, but I can't be partial since it's not in my control. I just consider myself lucky to be playing in such a great league. 5 - Are you still following the playoff and watching certain players? Who are your favorites to win the three Cups? Nope. My focus is completely on improving my game. I have been watching the VHL to take notes of the stud goaltenders to take after the likes of them! 6 - Next season you're getting another cool deposit into your bank account! What's your player gonna spend it on? Probably Subway. Like a footlong. Steak and Cheese with extra steak and extra cheese.
  11. It’s supposed to be a wizard hat but it’s really hard to find a wizard had with the correct perspective smh. It’s actually an Oktoberfest hat
  12. THE MIGHTY ICE WIZARD has just wrapped up his first playoff run in the VHLM. After being slotted as backup goalie for the Las Vegas Aces, The Ice Wizard had not seen much ice time; putting up a measly 0.844 SV% and a 4.1 GAA through 10 games. When speaking to the Ice Wizard about his regular season performance, he designated it as "a good wake up call" and that "(he) needs to do better for the team". Luckily for him, he would get this opportunity sooner rather than later. After a devastating 8-3 loss to the Houston Bulls in Game 2 of the series, The Ice Wizard got the call to start the next game. Unfortunately, already being down 2-0 in the series to the bulls proved to be too much for the Aces and The Ice Wizard to overcome and fell to Houston with a 4-1 deficit. However, a bright spot emerges from the Aces new rookie goaltender putting up some incredibly solid numbers in his post-season stint. Despite 2 losses through 3 games played, THE MIGHTY ICE WIZARD brandished a 0.940 SV% and a killer 1.67 GAA. The future looks incredibly bright for this goaltender, but with the VHLM dispersal draft coming up; what colours will THE MIGHTY ICE WIZARD be wearing at the start of the next season?
  13. 1 - The playoffs are right around the corner, and there's a good chance we face the Houston Bulls. We have a 7-2-1 record against them this season, do you like our chances? YES 2 - Will there be any changes to your daily routine for the playoffs? I WILL NOT TAKE OFF MY EQUIPMENT FOR THE ENTIRETY OF THE FIRST ROUND. I WILL BE READY. 3 - Are you superstitious about anything related to hockey? I BELIEVE A SMALL PORTION OF THE LEAGUES PLAYERS ARE NOT REAL PEOPLE 4 - How important do you think home ice advantage is in the post-season? How important is the crowd being into it on your side? THE CROWD DOES NOT STOP GOALS. I DO. 5 - Team chemistry is vital for playoff success. Where are we going to go eat our team dinners, and who should pay? MONTANA'S. I THINK MCLOVIN SHOULD PAY BECAUSE I AM HIS FAVOURITE 6 - Speaking of dinner, what are you eating for dinner tonight? STEAK
  14. The Mighty Ice Wizard will join the fray. I shall lead one (1) team to glory.

  16. THE MIGHTY ICE WIZARD | Age: ??? | Born: Fjallheim (Known today as Gothenburg, Sweden) | Position: Goalie The Mighty Ice Wizard was born sometime around the 15th century, but as far as the government is concerned he is 21 years of age and a "tax paying" citizen of the United States of America. From a young(er) age, The Mighty Ice Wizard had seen the game of hockey grow from nothingness and taken a particular interest in the sport. Even at the very start, he was a complete natural; given that he legitimately lives on the ice. He was incredibly fast with his skating ability, and his puck handling abilities were completely unmatched. Then, he became a goalie so none of that mattered. At the start of his junior career, he would constantly get penalties for manipulating the ice itself to stop pucks and players; but after many years of training and therapy, he was ready to show off his new-found discipline. Early years | Junior Leagues The Mighty Ice Wizard's legacy had begun on a Junior league team; the name of which team cannot be disclosed due to legal reasons. From The Mighty Ice Wizards very first year, he had competition. The starter spot on the team was contested by a kid named *REDACTED*, who had managed to just barely surpass The Mighty Ice Wizard in the initial skills combine. Stuck as a backup, The Mighty Ice Wizard would have to wait in order to prove his value to his team. Throughout the season, the undisclosed team had been through many close games. By the last game of the season, they found themselves just outside of a wildcard spot by 1 point; behind none other than the team they were facing in this next game. *REDACTED* had got the call, as he was the starter. Before 3 minutes had appeared on the scoreboard, 3 goals against the undisclosed team had beaten it there. However bad it may have seemed in the moment, a bright spot arose; a chance. A chance for The Mighty Ice Wizard to prove his worth. The Ice Wizard was subbed in, and with essentially an entire game to go; he was ready. For the next 45 minutes, The Mighty Ice Wizard was pelted by the shots of the opponent. One, after the other. By the halfway point of the third period, the opposing team had clocked 43 shots on goal. The score? 3-2. The Mighty Ice Wizard was ironically on fire, not letting a single shot past. There was hope, and that hope was the questionably aged rookie in net. The puck dropped at center ice. Minutes counted down, then seconds. With time dwindling, The Mighty Ice Wizard stood and watched the puck in the offensive zone and waited. Then he heard it, first cheering, then the goal horn. The game was tied, and going to overtime. Overtime was a drought of scoring. With no more than half a dozen shots between the two teams. To shootout; The first attempt was against The Ice Wizard. He calmly waited for the approach, cool and collected. The skater moved down through the left, deked right, then left and back-handed to the net. The Ice Wizard stretched his pads out, pushing against the puck. Saved. The first attempt for the undisclosed team. The Mighty Ice Wizard closed his eyes and listened. Score! The crowd goes wild, along with the goal horn. 1-0. Second attempt; The skater moved similarly to the first, following an almost identical path. The Ice Wizard prepared to slide his pads out again when he quickly caught a glimpse of something in the corner of his eye. Score! The puck had gone right past his mask. 1-1. Second skater for the undisclosed team; The Ice Wizard waited, and heard nothing but the empty ambience of the arena. Third attempt for the opponent; The Ice Wizard positioned himself squarely to the skater, following his movement strictly. The skater moved left, then right quickly. As The Ice Wizard went to move his stick into position, a quick flash of brown appeared in his peripheral. As his glove came down from above his head, he felt the weight of the puck in his glove. Saved. Third attempt, undisclosed team; The Ice Wizard watched as the player skated down the center of the ice slowly, handling the puck. When he arrived at the net, The Ice Wizard saw a quick twitch, then the arena erupted in cheer. 2-1. The undisclosed team had made the playoffs. However despite his performance, The Mighty Ice Wizard did not get the call to start out of the four playoff games that were played. Despite being swept, The Ice Wizard was feeling enlightened. His legacy could grow exponentially. Luckily, by complete chance, *REDACTED* had stopped showing up to team practices and games. The rumour was that his family had abruptly moved for work, or school. Regardless, The Mighty Ice Wizard was given the starter position, and went on to have a near flawless season, opening him up to scouts from the VHLM. He was offered a contract by the Las Vegas the following week. *Disclaimer: Nothing in this biography can be used as admittance or evidence in the court of law. 17. Watch this boy. The Mighty Ice Wizard will answer these questions. 1 - Hey folks I'm the new Assistant to McLovin and it's a pleasure to be here. I'll take some time to get to know you fine people! Has your season gone as you had thought so far? I've exceeded expectations on a personal level greatly. Sixteen consecutive shutouts; setting a new league record (me when I lie) 2 - The playoff race is pretty tight at the minute in our division, do you think we can take on our competition? Yeah. Wait what? Oh you mean in a game? 3 - Do you have more of a sweet tooth or prefer salty snacks? Salty. Like potato chips. Mmm yummy. 4 - We have a lot of home games to play down the stretch. Do you like to spend some time on the strip doing Vegas strip things? I'm way too locked in for that tbh. Catch me reading like a book or something. 5 - When you get to the big leagues, what's the first thing you're splurging on when you get your first paycheck? I don't want to go to the big leagues. Scary. 6 - Are you a fan of line juggling when there's struggling? Or do you prefer to stick to a stable lineup? I'm usually on the bench anyways. I'm basically like an assistant coach at this point.
