Pfff, fuck the Dragons

Argh... go... away... with... spoilers! Damn these last two episodes have been great, I agree that the CGI at the very end didn't look too convincing but I think that until that point the whole sequence was executed pretty well, even though these huge numbers of enemies suddenly appearing out of nowhere seemed kinda bizarre as well. For whatever reason my opinion when it comes to Dany seems to be the complete opposite of the one the majority of the fans seem to hold btw. I was never really a fan of her character but think that this season had some pretty nice developments regarding here storyline, whereas most other people seem to like Dany but not how she was handled this season... And damn that final Shireen scene, so intense... It didn't really come unexpected and still was so gut-wrenching, wow. I really liked how the show handled Stannis character here btw (haven't read the books though), it had confused me for a while that over the course of the season more and more people had began to see Stannis as a hero and one of the main good guys on the show while he never was that for me. Kinda glad that I was right there and imho it's the logicial continuation of his storyline, him suddenly bringing everything to a halt to save his daughter wouldn't have felt right, it's just not something that character would have done. People were way too eager to forget his past transgressions and how he became the man he is today, although the show did a very good job tricking many into believing that over the last 1-2 seasons. In this regard his storyline kinda reminds me of Littlefinger's by the way, who also was a pretty bad guy for most of the show's running until this season when the creators built their episodes in a way that more highlighted his positive attributes. Gonna be very interesting to see now if this also was just an attempt to trick the audience as it was with Stannis or if he will indeed end up doing some good things.

The question this week comes from our delicious .snuffiM! "A team that's sitting outside of the playoffs by a good margin has to improve everywhere, plain and simple. We already have our solution in goal I'd think in Jax Barnstormer who just needs some more time to develop, but he needs some help. I think it's no secret that we could need another Defenseman or two and while our forwards have been decent this season, there certainly is no reason for us to get complacent either. I'm sure we will fill most of these holes in the upcoming draft and when the rookies from the previous draft come up, after that the main thing we need is patience. And are you kidding me with that second question? Is there any decent New Yorker to hasn't been to 'I Like Donuts' yet? I certainly have yet to meet one..."

The BOG is already working on finding an effective solution for the current situation the Bears are in, so don't think that we wanna let you guys rot in Seattle just ouf of spite. But keep in mind that you guys basically blackmailed the league (or at least parts of it) into keeping Bushito around as the GM, you can't honestly expect us to feel sorry for you now All these "I told you so!"'s gotta go somewhere...

"Signing an extension here in New York was a really easy decision for me, they gave up quite a bit to bring me in and the least I can do to pay them back is to commit to this team for the foresseable future. I've really enjoyed my time here so far and while things haven't been easy for us this season, it's what we expected going into the year so I am not worried. We are a young team that is only gonna to grow over the next few seasons and I'm excited to be a part of this group and hope that I can be a leader for our younger players."

Played quite a bit of Rimworld over the last few days, really cool game that you can already sink hours into despite the fact that there isn't a lot of late game content yet, but there are a ton of mods already for that that I'm probably gonna look into over the next few weeks

The question this week comes from good old Smarch! My main goal right now is to help the Americans become a competitive team again as quickly as possible. This franchise has such a strong recent history of winning and so many great players have left their mark here over the last decade or more, it would really sting if we weren't able to continue that tradition. We have a good young core of players already and I think that I'm just about to enter my prime and can finally be a leader both on and off the ice for the Americans, something I wasn't able to do when I was in Cologne. As a player I think that I am already pretty well-rounded but I still want to work on both my offensive skills and my physical game. I know that other players that are around the same age as myself are a bit ahead of me at the moment, but I'm still confident that I can be a top-player in this league so I wanna become just that.
