S77 40+ win goalie predictions

Another season and another annual 40+ win goalie prediction. Last season was an interesting one as we had 3 goalies achieve 40+ wins and other goalies coming very close. This just shows that the current crop of goalies in the VHL are all playing at the top of their game.

 

Season 76 recap:

 

Just like last season, our team only managed to predict one goalie and that was Jacob Tonn @MexicanCow123 who finished with 44 wins on the season.

 

Our other predictions came very close as Zamboni Driver hit 38 wins and Stone Wolski followed with 37 wins. Our team is getting better each season at predicting the wins and we are hoping this is the season that we hit at least 2 correct predictions. The other 2 goalies that hit 40+ last season were Ajay Krishna and Jean Pierre Camus.

 

Now lets get to our 3 S77 predictions and see who I believe is in the running for a 40+ win season.

 

Season 77 predictions:

 

Ajay Krishna: @Hooperorama

Well we are going to go with last years goalie who had the most wins as our first prediction. Ajay had a breakout year last season with a career high 47 wins to his name. His stellar play led Warsaw to the finals. If Ajay can continue his form from last season, he will be a force to be reckoned with. He is already off to a great start with 10 wins in his first 16 games. Will Ajay be able to get a similar win number this season? 

We will definitely be following his progress and we believe he will come close but just a couple wins short of matching the 47.

Prediction: 45 wins

Jean Pierre Camus:  @solas

Jean Pierre was a big surprise last season. He practically came out of nowhere to have the season of his life. He was a huge part of helping Chicago win the continental cup and he also won the Daisuke Kanou for his stellar post season play. Jean Pierre was not on our radar last season but you can bet he is definitely on our radar this season. Jean Pierre finished with 43 wins last season and has already rocketed to a great start with 13 wins in 19 games. I believe it will be another showdown between Jean Pierre and Ajay for the most wins this season.

Jean Pierre will come up short by 1 win this season, but will still have another career year with Chicago.

 

Prediction: 44 wins

Doug Dimmadome: @Esso2264

We are going to go off the board and pick an underdog for the 40+ win mark and that underdog is Doug Dimmadome. Doug didn't have the best of seasons last year with only 24 wins but he is off to an incredible start on a team that has been hot over the last little while. Doug has 13 wins in 16 games and LA has taken control of first in the NA division with an incredible 14-5 start. This is the same team that finished dead last in the NA conference just last season.

This has been a great turnaround for the team and Doug is taking full advantage. The other goalies on this list need to watch out as Doug will be hot on their heels throughout the season.

Prediction: 40 wins

Krishna already has 12 were as Tonn has 6, but then again we are both biased to our own goalie

Was only able to pick 3. I am very positive Gyrfalcon will be in the race at the end of the season
