A team player is “a person who playoffs or works well as a member of a team or group.” A prime example to give as a person who demonstrates this characteristic is Alex Letang. From early draft scares such as being a first gen, to being thrown out of the MGM Grand while playing for the Las Vegas Aces in the VHLM. Ultimately it would be the Moscow Menace who would take the risk of drafting the party animal in the first round of the S72 Entry Draft at 11th overall, a decision that would help bring a terrific depth defenseman to Moscow and help win multiple Victory Cups while Letang become one of the most reliable and outstanding first gen players in VHL history.

Letang made his way into the league with a short amount of time before that season's VHLM Dispersal draft but was able to raise his draft stock enough to be taken in the 3rd round at 26th overall in the S71 VHLM Dispersal draft by the Las Vegas Aces with only 46 TPE. As a player in his first season ever Alex Letang made an instant impact for the Aces as a 2nd line defenseman but got an impressive 56 points in his first VHLM season while also being a major factor in the Aces' playoff run that season. With much more experience and training, Alex Letang went into his second season in the VHLM and demolished as a first-line defenseman. Letang would finish with 114 points along with an award for the most assists in the league during the regular season. After that remarkable season, Letang would prove to be a major factor once again in the Aces' short playoff run with over a point per game.

With the 11th overall pick in the S72 VHL Entry Draft Alex Letang would be taken by the Moscow Menace and join them soon after in Season 73. In his rookie VHL season, Alex Letang would start off hot with 23 points in 23 games making him one of the best rookies at the time before the rookie slump would take effect and slow him down but not without Letang finishing the season with an impressive 53 points as a rookie which would help support his team make the playoffs.

S74 Moscow

Regular Season
72GP / 17G / 62A / 79P / +37 / 240 SHT / 21 PIM / 19 HIT / 139 SB / 5 GWG / 8 PPG / 0 SHG

Postseason
5GP / 1G / 2A / 3P / +-0 / 23 SHT / 2 PIM / 1 HIT / 8 SB / 0 GWG / 1 PPG / 0 SHG

After an offseason of training with his teammate Onde Sandstrom, Letang would make huge progress in his play and average just over a point per game and be just 10 assists shy of an assist per game. That season Moscow would finish on top of the league and claim the Victory Cup as well as a #1 seed heading into the playoffs. But despite Alex Letang's best efforts the #1 seeded Moscow Menace would drop in 5 in a disappointing series against the Helsinki Titans.

S75 Moscow

Regular Season
72GP / 18G / 50A / 68P / +8 / 244 SHT / 54 PIM / 91 HIT / 174 SB / 2 GWG / 8 PPG / 0 SHG

Postseason
17GP / 7G / 13A / 20P / +6 / 74 SHT / 30 PIM / 23 HIT / 38 SB / 1 GWG / 4 PPG / 0 SHG

Stunned from the previous season's early playoff exit Letang's performance would take a hit as well as the entire Menace team. Letang would finish the Season 75 regular season 4 points shy of a point per game average but still a heavy outweighing of assists over goals with 51 assists and 18 goals that season. Moscow would make the playoffs through clinching a wild card seed and look to avenge their past season's failed efforts. Unlike past season's Moscow would go on a run as a wildcard team making it all the way to the conference finals before being taken down by the soon to be champions, the Malmo Nighthawks.

S76 Moscow

Regular Season
72GP / 19G / 73A / 92P / +31 / 263 SHT / 124 PIM / 124 HIT / 158 SB / 2 GWG / 6 PPG / 0 SHG

Postseason
14GP / 2G / 18A / 20P / +3 / 60 SHT / 35 PIM / 34 HIT / 38 SB / 0 GWG / 1 PPG / 0 SHG

With a bit more pep in his step, Alex Letang would regain his confidence for the S76 regular season and have the best season of his career up to this point. This time Letang would tally 93 points with just over an assist per game average and 19 goals to go along with it. Moscow would also go on to capture the Victory Cup once again due to the efforts of Letang and his teammates who hoped to perform better in the postseason than they had just 2 seasons ago.

S77 D.C.

Regular Season
72GP / 18G / 62A / 80P / -19 / 238 SHT / 151 PIM / 192 HIT / 193 SB / 1 GWG / 9 PPG / 0 SHG

From Moscow, Letang would join the D.C Dragons where after a terrible season the team finished last in the conference as well as last in the entire league with Alex Letang doing his best to keep the team afloat with 18 goals, 62 assists, and 80 points total Letang would consider retirement, but be persuaded to continue his career for another season in D.C.

S78 D.C.

Regular Season
72GP / 18G / 58A / 76P / +21 / 257 SHT / 207 PIM / 264 HIT / 139 SB / 0 GWG / 9 PPG / 0 SHG

Postseason
10GP / 1G / 7A / 8P / +3 / 44 SHT / 22 PIM / 29 HIT / 31 SB / 0 GWG / 0 PPG / 0 SHG

In the last push before the aging D.C. team would hit retirement the hopes of the team was to make the playoffs and just barely achieve that goal by clinching the final playoff spot for the wildcard matchup. Letang would contribute a total of 76 points with it 18 goals and 58 assists. D.C. would go on past the wildcard round defeating New York to play Chicago who would ultimately end the Dragons short-lived run Letang had 8 points in 10 games.  After the conclusion of the postseason, a fed up Alex Letang would demand a trade and get traded not once but twice in the same offseason.

S79 Los Angeles

Regular Season
72GP / 25G / 94A / 119P / +28 / 287 SHT / 185 PIM / 233 HIT / 148 SB / 5 GWG / 12 PPG / 0 SHG

Postseason
14GP / 6G / 15A / 21P / -1 / 55 SHT / 36 PIM / 50 HIT / 39 SB / 2 GWG / 1 PPG / 0 SHG

After last season with D.C Letang would be traded back to Moscow and then to the Los Angeles Stars for his final season where he would have a career defining season of 119 points which broke down to 25 goals, and 95 assists. Letang would be a major part of the Stars' playoff run to the conference finals with 21 points in 14 games but was eliminated by the Seattle Bears in 7 games, after which Letang would be announced as All-VHL First Team and announce his retirement on a bang.

week 2

Unless something has changed since I did them, HOF articles are not eligible for multi week claims because they aren't supposed to be claimed as media spots. It should be one 6-TPE free week + 5 TPE uncapped.
